Looks like a great product, but it also looks pretty complex, and I ain't exactly a Luddite.

I'm hoping that some of your buyers will have the insight to offer the book prep service for something more like $50. If it truly takes only 5 minutes, then that would be a fair price (where $500 is obviously not) and anyone offering the service for $50 instead will "kick butt" and get 10-20X more orders per day or week over anyone trying to gouge for $500 (this seems like basic economics to me, and the other outfits trying to charge $1000+ are simply out of their minds, or at least someone would be out of their mind to pay it).

Looks like a very well-engineered piece of software, but personally I'm not even going to try to operate it (too many other technical challenges already) and will hope that someone who buys it will offer Kindle book prep service for a non-extortionate rate.

Yes it is complex but I'm doing what I can to make it as easy as possible to use.

Most people who are using it find that it is pretty easy after doing 1 or 2 eBooks.

If someone has difficulty using KBG at first, I or one of my team will help them as much as needed.

Very good points about charging less and that's exactly why I'm adding the outsourcing feature right away.

(i) Yes, you can use your own book cover and just upload it to ImgFoto or any other 3rd party image hosting site or even your own website.
(ii) Yes, I include part 1 of the users guide which is step-by-step to learning to use KBG. Parts 2 and 3 are coming real soon.

Plus, I just put up 6 topic specific videos that should help a lot.

My team is working on additional guides and videos right now.

And finally I setup a Skype Support and Mastermind Group so everyone can help each other and I'm on it all the time.

I'm also helping Brad out with this product and I'm flat out saying, if you plan on publishing a book to Amazon, or even better, want to make excellent money getting books done for others, get this while it's at a launch phase. It's going up in price significantly to the public because the money to be made making books for others is excellent!

Brad has made an incredible web based program where you can get your book formatted, cover made, uploaded, edited, you name it.

Yes, there's a learning curve. Mostly because of what others have asked for and has merit. Upgrades are constantly being considered and implemented, so this application will definitely challenge a new person.

But consider when you were given a new job, you had to learn new things if you wanted the position. Same here. Unless you're an experienced person online, you may find it difficult. I'm saying, if you want to make money, take your time and learn it. We have video, and a support team, and are willing to help as much as possible. With dedication and focus you'll see that it's actually well laid out.

What's cool is once you see what to do you'll have an AHA!" moment once you understand and it will be much simpler from then on.

I noticed that the counter wasn't changing and then I remembered I forgot to change the sales page link.

Well, it gets even stranger. I clicked the refresh button in PayPal, cancelled out of it, and was going to wait at least 15 minutes before trying to purchase again. You'll never believe this. QUESTION ... Being a MAC user, and seeing your "mac*" asterisk ... Do I take it that since mobipocket creator is currently required for the final step, that regardless of what your software does formatting-wise currently, that Mac users are left holding the bag because mobipocket does not run on Mac (yeah, emulator, etc, I know) ... But otherwise?

And that your NEW version will make this step disappear?

Hi everybody,

im one of Brad's partners with KBG. it is very easy to use. it is a complete "enterprise" software solution for Kindle publishing. dont worry about it being complicated.

if what you are doing is simple and straightforward, it is entirely possible to do it in 5 minutes. if you are a perfectionist like me, it takes longer. i have 5 kindle books up on Amazon thanks to KBG with many more coming.

KBG does covers as well as an option. it also produces a pdf automatically as well as the required formats for Nook and so on.

this is an awesome tool. there is nothing else like it -- one stop push button Kindle publishing. also, your ebook is saved so that you can easily edit it and make changes, which you may want to do more often than you might think.

finally, remember that Amazon.com is all about the QUALITY. quick and dirty doesnt cut it. so if youre serious about Kindle publishing, imho this really is the best solution.

Hi Todd,

That is correct. Since MPC only works on a PC that is the only Mac unfriendly part still to be solved.

You can probably find a very good way on the Mac to do the last step since KBG generates all the files you need.

KindleGen is another option as well as outsourcing that last step within KBG when it is working.

Anyone who is serious about publishing on the Kindle platform should get this NOW!!! After twisting Brad "perfectionist" Wilson's arm, he allowed me to test his Kindle ebook generator. All I can say is.... WOOW AMAZING!!!... even for me an experienced KDP publisher this was a total time saver and its amazing the level of control and how easy it is to get perfectly formatted files that will upload flawlessly and that makes readers very happy

All I can say is that you will not find any tool out there that can match KBG and even amazon should be buying this as source code and using it on their KDP platform.. that's how good this is. And I've tried all the tools and software out there, nothing comes even close to this. I purchased KBG out of frustration with some of the kindle formatting software. Fiverr was useable, but there is always something not quite right, and I lose time trying to explain what I really wanted. I've used KBG for about a month so I thought I might chip in with my user experience:

Typically for a book, you would have:

1. Cover
2. Title Page
3. Copyright information
4. Disclaimer
5. Acknowledgement or Dedication
6. Preface
7. Table of Contents
8. Main Body of Contents
9. Conclusion
10. About the Author

There are other stuff as well, but the above 10 sections would suffice for this discussion.

Brad has designed the KBG to be used in a modular manner. This allows for flexibility and quick revisions without affecting the other sections. And if you are going to be publishing a lot of ebooks, you can easily set up a cut-and-paste process to populate these sections without having to worry about formatting issues.

Title Page, Copyright, Disclaimer (various choices available), Table of Content are auto-generated from the information you fill in about your book.

KBG can work with a complete ebook style document as well (and that was I did when I first used KBG) but I found using the modular approach makes things go very much faster.

You can then focus on writing the book content (without all the bother of how to organize the other sections) and this is uploaded into KBG which will go into the Main Body. KBG accepts doc format (also rtf and docx - but I didn't try those). So it’s great for word users who don’t want to mess around with reformatting stuff.

You still need to tweak the formatting in KBG if you have some special formatting requirements. KBG gives word processor-like kind of controls for that, as well as special menus for some cool formatting.

There is a built in previewer in KBG so you can see what the finished book would look like. It’s an approximation only and I would recommend checking out the final presentation in the Kindle Previewer.

Once it looks right, you generate the ebook with one click and you get your book published in epub formats for nook and ipad. There’s an extra step needed at the moment to convert the file into kindle format using mobipocket. I believe Brad is working on automating this as well.

And that’s it. There is a certain learning curve to use the software (took me about 3 hours to figure it out without using his guide), but it’s not that difficult once you get the concept behind it. And Brad does give great support.

I've taken the publishing strategy courses & am ready to get my hands dirty. A few more clarifications, please:
(i) Can I store my images & cover image on my Amazon s3 account & use those links?
(ii) Is the idea to upload to KBG a totally unformatted Word document & then do all the formatting on the KBG platform?
(iii) Technically, what is involved in using KindleGen as the last step in the process for Kindle publications?
(iv) I just read the Amazon tax-withholding & reporting requirements for non-US residents and my head is spinning. It looks like unless you're making a fortune with Kindle & Amazon products, it's almost not worth the aggravation. Any recommendations for Canadians?
