To be realistic, if your newbie level is to the extent that you can't even install wordpress right now then this may take up to 3 - 4 weeks to show results.

1) A newbie student Mayan (WF ID: mayan21) who didn't even know how to install wordpress at the time used this course to get #1 for all 3 product name keywords with medium competition and 8,100 search volume.

I've been into SEO for 4+ years now and I can tell you that there is no difference in ranking local keywords and niche keywords.

It's same Google and same competition, I've ranked a couple of local businesses myself.

The only time they will be a difference is when you want to rank a business or site outside Google.com and Google.co.uk (USand UK respectively)

The difference is not big though, all you have to do is make sure to notify Google that you want to rank for their sub search and we do this in several ways...

Being from Nigeria and running a local SEO company here, the local businesses here wants to get ranked in Google.com.ng most of the time, so to ensure that I get them these results...

• I Geotarget the location of the site
• I use local country domain extension
• Most times, I use local hosts too
• I get them backlinks from already established high PR authority local sites...

I'm already giving out a lot here, I taught all these stuffs inside the GD, so go get it bro...
