You would have to change it until it was pretty unrecognisable before you could sell the source itself. However if you just want to sell the cart, you don't have to make any changes, you can sell it as is. (Sent you a pm)

I'm well aware of the rules for a WSO, ESP is as far from the original code that I based this on as it could possibly be, You've used the shopping cart as a beta tester, you know yourself how vastly different it is to the original, it bears no similarity whatsoever it is a completely different product.

I even say in my copy it is based on previous code.

Here's an example for you:

The spite is what you derive from it!

I would love to sell my templates(coded for me not by me). You have many posts, if they allow you this, they allow all more leway.

I pm'd you because I didn't want to get into some sort of slanging match, I have too much respect for you. (You've done me a lot of favors in the past).

If the shoe had been on the other foot, and you had posted something I thought was a bit suspect here, (and knowing you as I do), I would have pm'd you and given you a friendly heads up, I certainly wouldn't have called you out in your thread and put off potential buyers. (That's why I asked you in the pm if you had another motive for doing so).

You were in such a hurry to post something "derogatory" in this thread that you obviously failed to spot where I say in my OP that ESP was built on another script, I would suggest to you that if admin had a problem with this, then the WSO would not have been posted.

I bought the rights to the very original script, the coder was aware that I was building on it, because I ensured I could do so before I even bought it. (I even emailed him at one point to ask his advice about something), so I have absolutely nothing to hide.

You were a betatester for ESP, so you are as aware as anyone else how vastly different this source code is to the original. It is a completely different product. The only similarity is the fact that they are both shopping carts.

I'm curious why you've never questioned me selling EMP as a WSO. I held lots of sales for it and I obviously didn't write the code for that either.

Re your comment about templates, if you have had a product coded for you personally, then of course you can sell them on to other people as a WSO. I don't write my own articles, (I pay other people to write them) but it doesn't stop me from selling them here.

The same with templates etc, I had a WSO a few weeks ago with some XSP templates I had made for me, Using your logic I was acting against the rules because I didn't code them myself even though they were unique to me and I had them made specifically.

I suggest you read the WSO rules more thoroughly before you quote them Sharyn because my post count has absolutely nothing to do with anything, I'm as bound by WSO rules as anyone else is

I am in no way challenging you! I asked a question, in a situation I was sure of the facts. How would I know who writes things? You are an advanced warrior, so you know the rules and therefore I have misinterpreted them to my disadvantage for 4 years.

I have seen many new people humiliated in this forum for doing things. I have also pm'd discretely to warn.

So basically, Rule #1 means:
You can sell altered plr with the originators rights being respected.
You can sell outsourced products.

I should really like Allan to include this for people who are timid, as I am in such matters.

Q. EMP I beta tested it and gave my ideas, I thought as a partner with Anthony that he did the coding. He has told me since he did not know php, but I did not connect as I don't think like that.

Q. I did not test ESP, I logged in once.
