May I ask how this works: Sell them as a report or ebook on eBay for $1 to build your opt-in list.

Is it simply that the report/ebook contains your web address, so people will voluntarily go to your site and opt in after they get your report/ebook? Or is there a better way to entice them to opt in?

I'm not quite sure what you're asking... "contains your web address". Do you mean Mine? or Yours?

These bundles do not have any links to my offers. They are yours to modify and use as you see fit, based on the PLR agreement as stated. Just be sure to include your own web site inside the product before you sell/give it away. Normally, this would be a link to something in the same niche. In other words, if you're selling a fitness book for $1, put a link inside it to another fitness product site that you own or are promoting as an affiliate.

If you want to use them to encourage people onto your list, you can get a big audience by promoting the "book" on a site like eBay for a minimum price of $1. You will charge because you can't give things away on eBay, but it has a huge market that can see your ad.

You would put a link to your own "sales" page where they get a bit of info about the product and can purchase it for $1. You need to set in place a way to grab their contact info somewhere during the buy stage.

So a typical way is... if you are selling through PayPal, for instance, you can make your "registration page" appear after they buy and before they download the product. This page basically says something like, "Please provide your name and email address to complete your order."

Of course, they will already have completed their order at this point. This is just a way for you to get them onto your list so you can promote higher priced products to them in the future... over and over again.

Sorry I didn't make that very clear...I was referring not to buying your PLR articles but how to use material sold on eBay to encourage people onto my list. The remainder of your reply does explain that quite well, thank you.

Hey, I have another question for Sylvia (or anyone who knows the answer)...actually two.

Okay, re selling reports on eBay for $1 to drive traffic to your website...I wrote a nice report and began to fill out the listing on eBay. I described it as an e-book and it told me that because it's a digitally-delivered good I have to use the Classified Ad form which has a $9.95 listing fee. So I changed my mind and re-wrote the listing to say it's a 10-page report printed on good quality paper and mailed in a manila envelope--NOT a digitally-delivered good.

They STILL consider it a digitally-delivered good and want the $9.95 fee. Did this happen to you? You can't ask them a question because when you click "contact us" you get a popup that tells you to type your question in the field. You do that and it says it doesn't understand your question and tells you to choose from a list. Of course your question is not on that list.

Sheesh! Some things that seem so simple turn out to be so complicated.

My other question is, where do you mention your web address, for the purpose of driving traffic to it? Do you just include in your listing "For more info please visit mywebsitedotcom?"

Hi Lisa,

I can't advise you on selling on Ebay because I've only done it a few times. You have to consider that even paying $9 to list a $1 book will still enable you to break even if you sell 9 books. The idea is that you're using this as a way to build your opt-in list, not to make money. Once you get them on your list, you can pitch more expensive items to them. In the end, the $9 will seem miniscule compared to the money you can make from your subscribers.

Just for your information, since I see you a relatively new at posting here.

Please note that this is a WSO, which doesn't get a lot of traffic. If you want answers, I'd suggest you go into the main forum and open a thread with your specific questions. WSOs are generally just for people wanting to ask questions & offer comments about the WSO being offered.
