To fix this... Don't freak out... Simply be sure to add the word "pub-" in front of your Adsnese ID... Leaving this off will make the plugin NOT WORK....

For Example, your publisher ID should look like this:

pub-123456789876543 (notice the "pub-" )
(Yes including the dash, just like Google tells you too)

This is the reason so many warriors couldn't get their plugin to function... They simply didn't know they had to add the pub- in front of their number...

Ok, let me put my review here. I bought the developer cause you can sell sites on Flippa with it and this is what matters to me for Adsense sites: the possibility to sell them, too.

I installed the plugin in a premium theme (by elegantthemes, which is easy to give conflicts with new plugins) and the only problem was that the search bar was not replaced in the header (as Mike, the author, correctly informs you that this can happen indeed), while it worked smoothly on post and pages. So, I just followed Mike's instructions for the header.php modification ( a simple cut and replace) and the plugin worked fine.

I tried it again on a Adsense premium theme: same "problem" with the header and ok with posts and pages. This time, modifying the header did not work out, but never mind, in the end is also ok for me to leave the original theme do its job in finding results within my site and then this plugin offer again a search.: an elegant, non aggressive solution perfectly ok with a normal web user behavior (I am not forcing anybody to do anything in reply to some comments).

Overall, this plugin is a classical case where I can't help asking myself why I didn't think about it before...It's a simple solution, its value is clear and, yes, you could manually insert an Adsense search on each post and page but when I buy a plugin I do so because I want to cut time.

In short, Yes, I recommend it to all Adsense users, and no, I am not afraid of using it because it doesn't violate any of the Google rules at all.

I went ahead and read the readme file first, then the documentation. I installed the plugin. Now most of my themes are very customized, as I do creative writing and local news related stuff.

My main site didn't have the search field within the theme, instead it had a widget. I followed the steps and realized in this instances, it's best to go straight to step3. Once i did that. Everything was good to go. Works like a charm.

I then set the clock and went to 11 sites I own, 4 minutes 23 seconds and have everything installed and live. Couldn't have been easier.

My assessment: If you own more than 4 sites and plan on building more, the cost of this will save you about 30 minutes of time on each site doing this manually. Doing the cost-analysis, what is your time worth to you?

This is a good idea. I used to have Google search boxes on all of my sites and they earned for me. As I changed the designs I left out the G search boxes because they take longer to set up than they used to and I was only thinking the other day that I should set them up again. If I manage to get hold of this it will save me a lot more than $9 worth of time that's for sure.

When I was directed back to this WSO after purchase instead of to an OTO or Thankyou page I made a post stating what happened but after refreshing the page my post has disappeared as has other posts with the same problem...I have now received confirmation from JVzoo but my question is: How do I see the OTO offer now?

There was another wso (last month?) on the search box but you had to do it manually. I followed their advice, changed everything and still lucky to get a click a day. Placed the search box on top in header and one at the end. I have better luck with the 336 at the bottom than the search box. So, at the current price of $9 sorry guys, I'll have to pass.

So that's in over three years.

At that rate, it's going to take me a long time to recoup this purchase, I fear!

Google Adsense TOS only allows 2 adsense for search units per page and your plugin has an option to add a search box under each post. A page could contain 5 or more posts meaning that the page would have 10 adsense units. Please explain or perhaps you can modify the plugin to limit the box to no more than 2 posts per page.

Not to defend all all cost this plugin which I bought and like a lot, but yes, google search bars cannot be overused. This point I knew already. However, I use Google search bars onnly in the header and one at the bottom of the pages/posts that's it.

I guess utilizing the Read More option might solve the problem, if Google is basing the two unit rule on what is visible, but i wonder if Google robots look at how much adsense unit code is on your sites vs. how they appear visually. Anyone care to comment on this.

If you use it in the header then you cannot take advantage of the default text to the effect --Did not find what you need try searching Google.

It appears to me to be the same, but the plugin seems to make it easier to insert and also has the ability to have a custom text line right above the search box.

I can't fathom why anyone would report this to Google just because it CAN be used in a way that's against TOS.

This plugin simply automates something that a lot of us (including myself) have been doing by hand.

Hmmm. paid for the plugin, got sent to the annoying OTO page and the link there doesn't work. I'm sure it's a solid plugi, but I either actually need to be able to get it, or just get my money back.
