Warrior Reviews

Quote:
As a introduction, I was provided a copy of Easy Software Builder by Rich to evaluate and review. The title of the product is indicative of the product itself. Easy! Software Builder. (I put the explanation mark in there)

What I like best about this product is it’s simplicity, combined with a very concise, precise and easily understandable step by step guide. I’ve walked through the software, and if I can understand it, anyone can. Now once I put together an idea or two, I’ll put it to some personal use.

Thanks Rich, for a fine product.

I would recommend it to online marketers who are looking to create
software to help in their branding efforts. I also see a lot of
potential for marketers who want to create software applications for
their own personal use to help them save time and work more
efficiently.

The PDF guide with step-by-step screenshots was very helpful. It was
easy to follow along and try an example. Once I started to see how the
process worked, I was excited to think of some different ways I could
use the software builder.

Terry,

If you purchased the previous version and subscribed to my list, you should have received an e-mail before this WSO went live about the update. If anyone has purchased and has not been getting my daily ESB e-mails, please PM me.

Hi,

How is this different from Cody Moya's Instant Software Builder v2.2 and from (ajacko) Adam Jackson's GigMakerPro?

Will this do more?

I ask because I'd like to be able do more than these 2 titles can do.

Cisco.

Hi Rich. I just thought of another improvement you might add - if it is even possible...

It would be great if the software could take a variety of finished setups and create one .exe file for all of them together. Then we could sell a whole toolset as one software product or have many different versions of something in one .exe which the buyer would choose as options same as the creator presently does when choosing which finished recipes to setup.

I really love how professional the finished product now looks and thanks for making all of these improvements so quickly! Really glad I purchased this.

Cisco,

This follows the same "recipe builder" approach as the others....

Based on looking at them and their names, they were both taken from a PLR product called "Software Maker Pro" which came with the VB 6 source code. I took a look at it and the source code a while back. A totally different architecture and century from Easy Software Builder..... Really!

Unless the other products have changed, the big differences are the following:

  • Easy Software Builder is built on .NET 3.5; those were built with VB 6 circa 1999.
  • Easy Software Builder has Themes; the others have boring "battleship gray" forms.
  • Easy Software Builder can use directories of recipes; the others can only use one recipe file.
  • Easy Software Builder can create zip files; the others cannot.
  • Easy Software Builder is a fraction of the price of the others.

Please feel free to ask any more questions you may have.

Thanks,

Rich

Joan,

That is definitely something useful. At this point, I would recommend using a third party tool.

I wish I had time to walk you through doing this step by step. Unfortunately, I do not right now.

The software I would recommend for that is ClickTeam's Freeware version of Install Creator. Download it and check it out. It is pretty straightforward. It can pack everything into an exe, create menu items and desktop shortcuts.

Just remember you'll need to distribute the entire contents of the runtime directory created by ESB.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

All the Best,

Rich

If I want to build a website builder and article submitter, can Easy Software Builder do for me?

How many licences per copy? I have 2 PCs. Can I use it on both? Or do I have to buy another licence copy?

amuro,

Thanks for the questions.

The web site builder would be possible if you are targeting niche or "sniper" sites. Your "recipes" would be your base templates. You could then go in and "fill in" the other pieces and generate.

An Article Submitter would be out of the realm of applications that it can currently build. Sorry about that one, my friend.

If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask.

All the Best,

Rich

amuro,

Thanks for the question.

You could use any WordPress theme you would like. You just be putting in the tags [#fieldname#] wherever you like in the HTML or PHP pages. Keep in mind, you will need the HTML or PHP. There are a lot of PLR resources out there to get you started.

Default Re: [Newbie Friendly v3]-Build Your Own Software-No Programming, No Outsourcing, No Tech Skills Need

amuro,

I appreciate your interest. I'll explain it in more detail. Easy Software Builder uses "recipes" to create software.

What is a Recipe?

Remember the “fill in the blank” exercises that your teacher used to give you way back in school? You could take a small paragraph and by filling in the blanks with different words, create different sentences.

Well, Easy Software Builder works in just the same manner. It lets you create the same kind of “Fill in the Blanks” paragraph (lets call it a ‘recipe’ for the time being) and have it filled out automatically with the right words.

Let’s look at the following example:

Tom was late for ______ because he met ______ on the way. As a result, he got scolded by the ______ of the ______ because he had already been late quite often in the past ______.

Now we can take this same recipe (our special word for this fill-in-the-blank) and fill it out like this Tom was late for school because he met his friend Dave on the way. As a result, he got scolded by the principal of the school because he had already been late quite often in the past week.

You could also use different words and make the same recipe look very different… Tom was late for work at the factory because he met an old friend on the way. As a result, he got scolded by the manager of the factory because he had already been late quite often in the past month.

So you see, as long as you have a ‘recipe’, and some words for turning it into a complete sentence or a paragraph, it’s quite simple really. You define the outline in a recipe and then using a different set of words, you can create entirely new things with it.

Let’s use the same concept of ‘recipes’ in something that you could really use in everyday life.

Here’s a recipe:

Dear [#contactname#],

I had recently visited your site at [#siteurl#]. I was impressed with it, and wanted to suggest something.

I have a new product called ‘[#product#]’, which I will be selling at [#producturl#].

This is what the product does:
[#productdescription#]

I was wondering if you wanted to do a joint venture and promote ‘[#product#]’ for a share in the profits?

If you are interested please send me an email at [#myemail#].

All the Best,
[#myname#]
[#myemail#]

Did you notice anything different about this ‘recipe’? That’s correct. Instead of using blanks, we have used special “tags” to denote places that need some words or phrases to be filled in.

So instead of indicating the name of the recipient with a blank (“________”), we indicate it with the special tag [#contactname#]. This is a simple way of ensuring that the correct words find their way into the correct blank space. These tags let you define where words have to be
inserted and at the same time, let you re-use the information.

Did you see that we have used the [#product#] tag in several places? This means that whatever has to be placed in this blank in the first place is simply to be copied to the other locations – making your task that much easier and convenient.

The computer does not need to know the name of the recipient. It will just ask you for the words that go into this blank and will reuse them everywhere we place this tag.

So in the letter example above, the tags we have used are the following:

[#contactname#]
[#siteurl#]
[#product#]
[#producturl#]
[#productdescription#]
[#myemail#]
[#myname#]

Using these tags, you will make it easy to write a letter to contact potential affiliates. It’s not that hard to get people to fill out these forms to get the right answers that will result in a clear and useful letter. You just need to frame questions that will get the right responses.

For example:

- What is the name of the person who you will be contacting?
- What is the URL of their site?
- What is the name of your product?
- What exactly does your product do?
- What is your email address?
- What is your name?

The moment you ask these questions, you have sufficient data to fill out the recipe and to complete the letter.

You could use different "recipes" to build a variety of applications such as a Sales Letter Creator.

I hope that gives you an idea of what the program can do. If you have any other questions, please feel free to pass them along.

Thanks,

Rich

LP,

Thanks for your question.

Yes, you can use any type of text file... Javascript, PHP, HTML, etc.

Last time I checked, Software Product Magic could not import PDFs. It could only output them in the $279 "Pro" version.

Easy Software Builder 3.0 does not output PDFs.

All the Best,

Rich

LP,

What type of page would you like to see when opening and closing the software?

User registration and demos are not built in to version 3. But, there are a lot of inexpensive options you could look into with the $240+ you would save over SPM Pro.

It does not create a single exe to install. For the installer, please see post #12 above for my recommendation on a free installer.

I am sure exactly what features you are looking for in a "dynamic page." Could you explain this in detail?

If you have any more questions, please feel free to pass them along.

Thanks,

Default Re: [Newbie Friendly v3]-Build Your Own Software-No Programming, No Outsourcing, No Tech Skills Need

Hi Rich,

Thanks for the answers.

1 What type of page would you like to see when opening and closing the software?

I like to see a posibility (yes or no wich you can choose by a checkbox) to do that and it`s popup page where you can place a ad or terms or anything else. Same for closing the software but it must be a posibility to choose both or only by opening the software or closing the software. I hope you understand it.

2 User registration and demos are not built in to version 3.

But it is possible to make create time-limited demo versions as read in the sales letter? And user registration i have already a solution for that but is it possible to make this in a future update?

3 But, there are a lot of inexpensive options you could look into with the $240+ you would save over SPM Pro.

Can you explain this what kind of options?

4 It does not create a single exe to install. For the installer, please see post #12 above for my recommendation on a free installer.

Also for this i have my own solution thanks for the recommendation, also maybe possible in a future update?

5 I am sure exactly what features you are looking for in a "dynamic page." Could you explain this in detail?

A dynamic page is a page of which you can change the content at any time you want. This page is actually a web page you uploaded to your website and whenever you change your web page content, your software user will see new content on the extra page as well.

I hope I have explained everything understandable,
L.P

LP,

One and five are possible for future versions. But, I am making no promises.

Two was an item which was never in the product. That was an item accidentally added by my copywriter and I flat out missed it. Sorry about that. I corrected the sales letter. Thanks for pointing that out.

Three... There are several licensing systems. I'll have to dig them up when I have time.

Four.... I do not see adding an installer to ESB when a free option is available... I would have to be able to justify the time and effort.... The only way I could do this is release a 4.0 version... and charge my customers $50 or more for a version upgrade... I could not do that with a clear conscience knowing this is something they can get for free....

If you have any more questions, please feel free to pass them along.

Thanks,

Rich
