| Taking too long formatting WordPress content? "Discover How You Can Tame WordPress' Bullying Visual Editor!" If you’ve ever been frustrated with the limited formatting options in WordPress' Visual Editor, or infuriated by the mindless stripping of HTML tags when you use custom formatting, then read on …! WordPress is a tremendously popular web publishing platform. One of the key reasons for it's success is the incredibly easy setup. Another is its flexibility. The massive range of plugins allows you to significantly extend the capabilities of WordPress. Unfortunately, WordPress' Editing Capabilities Is Not One Of Its Strong Points. Make a simple mistake with a HTML tag, and it can wipe out some of your content instantly! Sadly even with the latest WordPress 2.6, the Visual Editor is still a twitchy beast … And in any case, adding custom formatting just takes too long! Fortunately, with the new DropIn Formatter plugin – you can bypass the editor’s bad and limiting behaviour, and focus on publishing good-looking, 'sticky' content fast! Watch the video on the sales page, and see how easy it is to smarten up your WordPress sites ... (Just don't click the Order button on that page, as Warriors obviously get a special price.) What Prompted This Formatting Plugin? Two things actually:
This plugin allows you to:
How Does The Plugin Work? The key functions of the plugin are as follows:

If you're not yet convinced that this is a great time-saver - watch the video on the sales page, and see how easy it is to create Conduit review pages in WordPress ... Like what you've seen? For just $14.95 you can start saving a lot of time on your WordPress sites...
There's been a couple of recent WordPress review templates on offer. If you've watched the video, you will have seen how you can define your own custom review format, and then create Conduit pages in WordPress with just a few mouse-clicks. There's no need to buy custom templates - follow the steps I provide in the plugin's guide, and you can use any appropriate WordPress template for your Conduit site. Start saving time and money. Click on the button below, and you'll be up and running in a couple of minutes... You'll be ordering through 2CheckOut, but you can use PayPal to make the payment... If you need to know more, please feel free to post your questions below, or PM or email me. P.S. Existing RNW customers don't need to buy this. You will be able to download this from the support site once I've added the download page - over the weekend. |

I'll admit, I am a rabid RNW fan and I consider it one of the BEST IM investments I have made. Jeff really delivers with his products. If you are using WP, this is a no brainer! Tink |

Hi Jeff, This looks like a cool plugin but I'm wondering if it comes populated with any formatting structures built into it or do we have to configure our own? thanks, St. |

Hi Quote:
Even though I am very comfortable working in both editors, I still found the process of creating the formatting of a review page a real pain. This plugin makes it a lot simpler to drop in the formats, and with the fact that I import the CSS/stylesheet into the editor, you can see the end result as you're creating the page/post.

Yes, if you would offer it with a selection of preformatted styles in the drop-down menu that we could add to, it would be the icing on the cake...... Daryl |

I've looked at various offers for fixed templates (conduit style) from other people and they all have a similar problem. If you use their static template as is - without changing anything - it will leave a footprint the size of Texas and eventually the engines will discover that footprint. Unless I'm mistaken, this plug-in seems to give us the option to create a conduit style page that will be somewhat unique to our site. If that's the case, then I'll be using this a lot. It also seems like I could quickly build a simple squeeze page with some of the elements in this plug-in. I'll have to play around with it, but this looks very promising to me for review type sites. |

Hi Daryl Quote:
The main reason I created this for myself was to implement the Conduit method easily. Doublie Nickel correctly identifies one of the primary opportunities of using the plugin - spend a few minutes designing a unique format for a review page, save it in the options page, and then simply drop it in on each page with a mouse click. (The ability to have common category recommendations that you can set up / change easily in one place than in each page / category is a bonus time saver.)

Hi Kat Quote:
The core code is now pretty robust - as it is a derivative/combination of two of my RNW plugins that have been in use for a long time. The wrestling matches with the WordPress editor actually took place circa WP 2.0 and WP2.3 when major changes to the editor were introduced. I actually don't anticipate having to make major rewrites to the plugin - any coding is more likely to be refinements / additions based on customer suggestions.

Jeff, The only problem at present is for a non-developer such as myself, the plugin is un-usable without pre-formated scripts included in the drop-down menu. Although you speak of places to get scripts, I haven't found any clickable links in the manual to these script directories or any instructions on how to add the scripts. As soon as you update the plugin to include some of these scripts it will probably be a great product, until then it will just be: Not Yet Ready For Prime Time. |

Hi Jeff, Thanks for your response - I was implicitly referencing the possibility that you'd populate the drop down menu with some other options as had been previously suggested. Just saw titanad's post, and wondering if you can clarify his point for me, Jeff in terms of ease of use and feasibility for someone who is not a web developer or programmer. Thank you again, - Kat |

Looks like you have a great plugin here. But if you can load it with some of the css as in your video, it would give newbie a great start ! Quote:

Hi Quote:
>> any instructions on how to add the scripts.. ?? From page 9 through to 12 I give the CSS and Before & After dropin code for Snazzy Borders, Dropshadow Box, Nifty Corners, and a Review table. These were the examples I showed in the video. You copy the CSS into the CSS entry field on Options, and the Before & After dropin code for a New Dropin on the options page. That's it. >> Not Yet Ready For Prime Time. Depends what you mean by Prime Time. The plugin allows you to add formats that you like. I might get excited about Nifty Corners - whereas you might like that at all. I've been using it for a month - and it does what I designed it to do. Send me what formats - other than those included in the guide - and I will see whether any of those formats break what the plugin can already do.

Jeff, Sorry, but you are talking WAY over my head. This may seem easy for you, SURE you developed the plugin. But, it would be simplier for us non-developers if the drop-down menu contained all these codes you keep talking about. I don't even know(haven't quite figured it out) what Before & After dropin code is. HR |

Jeff, Also, some of the links you have included go to pages that have NO code listed. Such as: Snazzy Borders http://www.cssplay.co.uk/boxes/snazzy.html I don't see any code on that page. HR |

Hi I have sent out an email with a link to an updated guide. I have fixed the broken links, plus added more images showing exactly where to insert the CSS code, and the Before / After code. I also included a simple Yellow Highlighter example to illustrate the process. |

This plugin is deffinately not for the faint hearted lol It's easy enough to install but trying to copy and paste the required codes in can be tricky. I managed to get all the code for the Snazzy border effect but when I selected the text in my post and clicked the Snazzy effect from the drop down, the border didn't completely surround the text. I presumed this was due to the WP WYSIWYG editor so I went ahead and published the post....... when I viewed the post the border didn't go all the way around the text (I went back to try and undo or delete the effect but that's where you need to really know what your doing with code..... unfortunately so far I've not been able to figure out what code needs to be deleted so I'm probably going to just delete the whole section of text and paste it in again from the original article..... So to sum up for anyone thinking about getting this plugin, If your confident enough to play around with code then this would be a cool plugin for your WP blogs. For those who don't have the time or " know how" to mess with code don't bother. If it came with a handful of effects already added to the drop down menu then this would be a much more useful tool. Hi Jeff, Just checked the RNW download area and I couldn't locate this plugin, I was wondering if you had a chance to upload it so that your existing customer's can download it? Donald |

Hi Donald Done - it's the top link on the Vsn 2 downloads page. Play with it, and please let me know if you have any suggestions (apart from idea of a library of effects ... ). So far I've had no suggestions for additional effects - over and above those I demoed in the video / have documented in the Guide. The preloading of some standard effects is not that difficult - I will tackle it over the next couple of days. Just don't particularly want to preload formats that nobody really wants - as that basically defeats the purpose. I'm going to aim for a text file that loads the formats into WP, so you'll be able to remove, edit, or add to formats - useful if you're using this on several sites. |

Hi Jeff, I watched the video and was wondering... Does it allow you to customize the css for EVERYTHING on the site (font colors, font sizes, etc) when they are not connected with a graphic... or does it just control css for the graphics? |

Hi Jeff I purchased this several hours ago and have been mucking around with it since. Your scripts , dropin's, CSS and Java Scripts were easily created and deployed. Very nice and robust plugin. I've managed to write some java that mimics cgi and created a fairly easy way to generate a submission form on any post or page I create. This really helps by keeping it off the sidebar where my main newsletter sign-up is located and allows me to create separate lists for my auto responder. Very nice working plugin, greatly appreciate its versatility and its handling of various formatting methodologies. I'm also working on a style sheet "class" that could possibly create a 3rd column on a new WP "page". Something I haven't been able to accomplish without having to use straight up coding in the WP Theme folder! Have some additional ideas will PM you about later. What's the scoop on a possible affiliate deal with this product? Oh, a .txt file with the code would be a plus! Sweet WSO! All The Best Paul |

Hi Holly It inserts the CSS code below where your stylesheet is inserted - so any CSS that you add in here for a class / ID you have defined in your template will override what is in your stylesheet. Gives you some last minute flexibility if you want it ... |
