Looks like awesome stuff. I got it.

Can you provide examples of how to use it? I'm not asking how to configure the pop-up. But, for example, how would I use it to allow people to stay on my sales page if they hovered over to exit the page? How would that work?

Hi Mark,

There's a setting to have the popup appear "on exit". What it does is sense that the mouse is being moved up to the "back" or "exit" buttons on the browser, and it triggers the popup.

As far as having them stay on the page, you'd need to word the popup in such a way as to induce the visitor to stay - a special deal, a bonus, a reminder, a discount... sky's the limit!

Hi Jeff,

Actually, I bought the source code and heavily modified it. Myself. (Learned Pascal
and Delphi. What fun!)

The code is *completely* revamped.

Many features added that are not in "Impact Popup" or any rebranded version you may
be thinking of.

Here are some of the features I added myself:
--Launch delay
--Fade webpage (lightbox effect): either black or white overlay
--Set cookies to control how many times popup is seen
--Open popup on exit

In the PRO version, even more:
--Add HTML to Popups
--Add embed code to Popups
--Add optin-forms to Popups

Bugs fixed that were in "Impact Popup." Due to changing browser standards and some
problems in the original source code, I had to completely rewrite - from scratch - the
actual popup mechanisms/javascript in order to 1) accomodate HTML being added to popups,
and 2) for them to work at all with Safari.

I also created and added many of my own templates.

The interface (Step 1, step 2) is still similar and some of the templates are the same -
that's where it ends.

I rewrote the *vast majority* of both the underlying code and code that it produces.

I invite you to take it for a spin and compare it to "Impact Popup" - you'll see they
are not the same product, fundamentally they are very different, and I believe anyone
with both products would agree.

I spent 100's of hours on this, I did create the resulting product myself.

From a starting point of existing code? Yes - but it was *just* a starting point. IM Popup
is NOT simply "a rebranded version."

I can see that on the surface it would appear so, and I understand your comment, but I
feel that I have added to, changed, fixed, and improved on the "original" in significant,
meaningful, and fundamental ways - and that the resulting program I made absolutely qualifies
as my own product.

Looks like you made some good changes. A few questions for you.

I'm looking for a popup for a subscription form (opt-in) from either aweber and/or get response that will not show the same form to the subscriber if they've already subscribed.

Also looking for a popup that will not be shown if the visitor is a search engine.

And finally, if using the popup to embed an html form, looking for the functionality to do separate lists or newsletters for the opt ins. (I'm thinking if you can embed the html code that it would simply be a matter of embedding the code for the different lists, but it would be really useful if a program could "track" which opt in form the site visitor has subscribed to, and then not show the same form to that visitor if they are for example, already a subcriber to newsletter A, but would show the visitor newsletter B if you added a new newsletter and they had not subcribed to a different newsletter.

I don't have a plugin, per-se, but you can use this with self-hosted WordPress
installs. If you're hosted on WordPress.com, like myblog.wordpress.com, it
may not work - I think they disallow all javascript. But your own hosted blog
will work.

I have step-by-step instructions on exactly this scenario in the user's guide.

A plugin version is very next on my list of "to-do's", however!

It does not currently do this. I think it would be a great addition, so it's on the list for
the next update.

It still shows if the visitor is a search engine. However, it's not a true "pop-up" of the
type that search engines penalize (like for landing pages). Also, if it is set to show on
exit, then the search engines won't see it at all.

Not currently. I'll have to give this some thought on how it might be done. I'm not sure
if it will be in the very next version but I really like the concept.

The user's guide is installed along with the program, and will be in the program folder with
the exe file. It will also be in the Start Menu in the IM Popup group.

Hi Rene,

Once in a while the connection to PayPal has a problem. If you refresh the page,
it should work. If that doesn't work, try clearing your cookies. I think it's a
problem on the PayPal side (encrypted button stuff) but if doing those 2 things
does not fix it, let me know!

Just bought your software and look forward to taking it for a spin and adding it to sites (mostly Wordpress).

I second the request for Wordpress Plugin version.
Personally, I would like both prospective features you mention.
1. "Would you want to be able to create the Popup from within the plugin itself?"
My Answer: Yes
or
2. "just manage where/when/how it shows on the blog?"
My Answer: Yes, as well. Sometimes an offer is only relevant to a particular post, category or page.

(Also, just a thought -- lots of people use Joomla )

As previously mentioned, the current version can be used with WordPress, but I am working on an integrated WP plugin version.

For sure I'll let the early buyers know when it's ready, so be sure to sign up for the updates list on the download page, if you haven't already.

It will likely be a free upgrade for Pro owners and perhaps a nominal fee for standard owners. But since it's not ready yet, that's just what I'm thinking now and is subject to change, depending on how many features make it into the final WP version and how difficult it is to get them there.

Do you mean: can it create an image that can be placed in the HTML of the web page, instead of popping up over the page?

If so, then yes - the program creates a file called logo.png that is the image itself. Instead of using the script to display the image, you could copy the logo.png file to your site and reference it in your HTML just like any other image.
