I just bought this WSO and there are some things in there that are not good.

It suggests swiping Amazon reviews and pics for the vids. Amazon will hurt you if you do this. It's a direct violation of their TOS and they enforce this with a vengance. Particularly the reviews.

The video making and SEO advice in this WSO is a direct steal from the Ryan Deiss/Perry Belcher free webinar that was going around about a month or two ago...right down to the suggestions of who to use on fiverr.

I will say that what Ryan and Perry put in that webinar (and was copied here) works. I put a Kindle book on the first page of Google in a few days with this technique. I'll also say that some of the fiverr providers mentioned stiffed me and I had to go with others.

This is off topic but something to know about fiverr is that once you cancel a gig that didn't deliver you can't leave feedback. Think that might affect how many negative feedbacks a gig might have had?

Not gonna argue on this (I'm Josh's partner)...but neither of us follows either of those guys.

Sorry you got stiffed and stuff but using Amazon reviews is a widely used thing and since over 50% of Amazon's business is driven by affiliates they really are supportive of affiliates using this stuff.

I appreciate your feedback and we'll add stuff but review videos are no different than reviews and people use them all the time as well as countless softwares that create Amazon review sites.

I would suggest everyone read the Amazon TOS and make their own decision.

I still love fiverr and get lots of good stuff done there with the occasional dud thrown in. They do have excellent customer service. I mentioned to them what I posted here and they're going to discuss it at a higher level. You never lose any money there, just some time.

I can answer this! I purchased this WSO, to reinforce the video rankings for my offline clients. I already knew many of these techniques before, but learned a couple new ones here......well worth the investment.

I didn't buy it for Amazon or any other affiliate promos (as I'm not into that) With that being said, the video that I got ranked on Google Page 1 for a lawyer, produced a nice client for them, and a few thousand in income.

This WSO is filled with a ton of great info, and way over the top.

Can anybody clear up that language for me a bit? If I'm pulling info to my site via my advertising API, then it's okay to scrape some reviews and star ratings? Does that exclude the inclusion of those reviews on video submission format?

I'm not adding reviews to my videos, but I do have a couple sites that need to be cleaned up if I don't want Amazon taking their ball and going home without me... so to speak.

I bought this WSO and have produced a couple videos that will be further circulated through a Fiverr gig, but I have my own sources for that. Some of the Fiverr suggestions in the PDF lead to sellers with MANY negative reviews.

Hey so do these keywords need to be very low competition and high search volume that tale hours and days to research and find? Does you method work will just longtail keywords, or can they be competitive keywords?

Do you give any tips on monetizing this traffic other that Amazon affiliate? Will this work with other affiliate links or CPA with a simple URL shortner in the URL? Or do we have to have a domain specific for this to work?

Is it just putting up a youtube video or does it involve backlinking and everything else that goes along with SEO?

Can you make the videos with windows movie maker, or do you have tohave some special software? And is software your oto?

O and it seems people are having trouble with the payments. I want to pay by paypal am I able? Is everything resolved as far as payment issues?

The Amazon TOS could certainly be a cause for concern if you plan on displaying screenshots. But there are plenty of other uses for this WSO besides marketing Amazon products. And nobody says you have to do the screenshot thing anyway. In fact this WSO offers a few different ideas.

How about rethinking Animoto guys? Nearly every WSO nowadays recommends using them but ANY commercial use of Animoto appears to be against their Terms as well (so maybe ProShow Web would be a better choice). Just because everyone is using them, doesn't make it right.

I guess what I'm trying to say is sometimes you just have to 'color outside the lines' a little with a lot of the WSOs as they don't always line up with the terms of service of the resources they recommend. That doesn't mean you can't learn from them though.

Personally, I purchased this WSO and found it to have plenty of useful information. I felt it is well worth the cost and the bonuses add substantial value. I'll tweak the methods, swap out a few resources and put it to use. I'm using it for education... not a carbon copy template.

My advice: Buy it, learn from it, tweak it to suit you, then take action.

I totally love the way you put this. I notice this a lot where people get all bent out of shape as soon as things change. I literally had a launch once where they did a "We've updated our terms" and had to create IN THE MIDDLE OF A LAUNCH a new method that was TOS friendly.

Videos are videos...and the reason we did this as much as we did is b/c it's easy for a lot of peeps to do Amazon affiliate stuff.

Anyhow, the "don't use it as a carbon copy template" idea is why most people fail in business...In my 4 years of doing this I've never seen a 100% truly carbon copy template even having bought 2k items...alas a $7-9 offer...no way thats possible for everyone who's bought for it to be perfect for them and their interest.

Most info can be found if one spends enough time and/or knows where to look... but of course those are fairly big "if"s...

I really think this is something Warriors need to be more careful about!

I heard the other day about a guy who bought an amazon plug in here on the WSO forum and it got his account banned! He didn't reply to me as to which it was but now I'm going to be very careful about reading the TOS at amazon before I use any of the plug ins I've bought here.

Same with other WSO's. The makers of these things need to be super careful about whether or not the info and/or software they are selling viiolates TOS and the least they should do is make it known to their clients that it might be a questionable practice so we can evaluate and make an informed decision. Sure, TOS's change but the very least one should do is read them and evaluate if their WSO may potentially violate TOS before offering them up here. No?

That said I will probably buy this because it sounds like it has some good info in it and the bonuses seem worthwhile. But I probably will not use screen shots of reviews or use the video creation service recommended if their TOS does not allow for commercial use.

You have totally hit the nail on the head... This at the base is a traffic guide... and it should be tweaked and used to your personal advantage.

animoto was simply a "speed" choice... i write clearly in the report that I much prefer screen capture videos made with Jing + powerpoint.. and I also give several other resources.

I actually show you how to find keywords in under a minute... Very easy and powerful stuff.

longtail, buyer, low comptetion keywords work BEST for this... but it can work on more competitive keywrords too.. it just wont be within 24 hours. It might take some of the push-button seo tricks to get it done.

you can monetize the traffic anyway you like, from selling these services to offline business, to directing the traffic to CPA, to promoting new IM products and making clickbank cash.

Yes windows movie maker is very good.

I'ts impossible to say what YOU will be able to achieve.. the best thing to do is plan it ou carefully, see how much time you have, and turn it into a real business opportunity.

Some good points and advice there... I snipped out most of it though since I just want to mention something that you talked about, in order to avoid any mistakes...

Re. The "ProShow Web" route... If you check their Plans... it is the exact same thing... Commercial use is stated only at the "Premium" plan...

I guess they're a $100 cheaper than Animoto Pro though LOL.

Which leads me to a simple but quite important question...

What is the actual definition of "commercial use" in these cases?
When you sell the product produced by these solutions - the video?
Or... When you use the video to sell something else?
Both?

My gut instinct here is that to play this completely safe you'd have to invest...
However, I have a distinct feeling a LOT of peeps are doing this with the cheaper (or free) non-commercial versions and getting away with it...

I would really love to hear from some of the "old" pros "in the know", what they think =o)

The other, totally SAFE option is to do it yourself As per Josh's suggestion of his favoured way of doing this stuff... Using Jing or similar and recording your presentation yourself! =o)

The ToS issues at Amazon is another thing you might need to be a bit careful with (if indeed you're going with Amazon to make money with these methods)...

Certainly with a bit of common sense you should be able to work around most of this by not just copying other peoples reviews directly... set up a swipe file instead and cut and paste together some of the best points...

Rework some of the wording if you like... Then create a couple of simple but Nice Looking Bullet Points with one of the many free Image creation tools on the web (or PhotoShop or similar if you got it...).

Use these slides instead of direct screenshots of reviews if you want to play it a bit safer...
Another option might be to give the original reviewer credit within the video... For example if you use voiceover, you could say: "Here's a great review by Josephina Soap"... Or make an extra slide stating it instead =o)

Taking the legal question a bit further... You'd also have to consider copyright on images of products you are working with here as well... This may be of a lesser concern since the producer would probably be very happy to see increased sales. Just be very careful when using any image of a corporate Logo or similar... Better still... Don't (unless it is available in the public domain and OK to use)!


Now... Having said all the above...
You can be so cautious that you'll never actually get around to doing anything...

Josh says it quite simply in one of his posts...
If it ain't broke, don't fix it...

The strategies and tips described inside are all immediately useful and will get you set up very well to get some awesome results...

The fact that Josh has concentrated on Amazon is by no means an indication of where this stops... Video IS Universally Powerful!
So any niche or product could very quickly benefit from what Josh is outlining here.

A stonkin' good recipe for success for sure... With the very low cost involved here and the additional bonus offerings you'd be mad not to jump in with both feet...

If you are worried about the issues discussed above... A bit of common sense is always a good idea =o)

In closing: This is definitely a great Guide to getting your video production off to a quick and lucrative start folks... So don't miss the opportunity to get your hands on some seriously powerful step by step instructions and great resources!
