The report can indeed be sent out after the prospect has called your 800#. You would offer the report in your direct mail or email campaign, then send out the hard copy as follow up to responders.

I have handed out a total of 37 copies (have not created a direct mail campaign yet). A that point I had to stop in order to schedule and conduct 9 consultations. So far, after 7 consultations, I have two signed clients. Looking for more results in the next week or so.

I should add that I did some research on these businesses first.

With regards to the report closing the sale - nothing is going to close the sale but YOU . It is however an excellent tool for getting your foot in the door and warming up the business owner. It also wakes the business owner up to the emerging "local search" trend and the benefits of an effective online presence.

I created the report to avoid having to embark upon the "dreaded" cold call. Trust me, if I can walk into a business and hand these out - practically anybody should be able to do it.

The primary purpose of the report is to get the prospect to contact you to get a free consultation. Whether you are offering the Michael Silvester's "Free Website" model or offering straight consulting, you will still need to consult with the client to assess their needs.
