This is not a defense of the tactic. In this case (and in the fore mentioned WSO that 'got me') I think the OTO sequencing is not as transparent as it should/could be. Just my opinion.

All that said... Cossack is one of seven or eight authors that I don't hesitate to buy from.

I did not really try to hide the OTOs at all (I don't like that tactic myself). I just did not explain them as I have done with previous products. Yes, it is a bit of a marketing tactic, to have the downsell. But, like I said I usually explain the differences in my previous WSOs, which I did not as much here. I will endeavour to outline it better for next time. If anyone feels hoodwinked, just PM and I will sort you out. I will blame it on lack of sleep and laziness. Having said that, are we ranking the site or the video when we use your method and software?

Yes, we provide instructions.

With the keyword/keyword phrases we suggest that you use the title for that and then it is very simple to get the anchor text to automatically be generated, so that it points back to whatever URL you want.

Here is my review of this product which I purchased.

The idea and premise of this wso is a good one. The training overall is sufficient for what the sales copy presented and the price of the basic purchase.

The presentation of the material is less than desirable. The presenter clearly losses his train of thought on more than one occasion, the audio is up and down and there are times when the back ground noise and sounds are distracting.

Some training is glossed over rather than being detailed. Based on my personal experience with Cossack, when purchasing his products, I would not expect him to have much concern for you as a customer. At least that is my experience.

As for example, I purchase one of his software products and later received an email from him saying that he had made a mistake and failed to include a bonus. So he asked that I send in purchase details to a certain email and he would get my bonus to me. I made the effort to gather the needed information and sent to the address indicated. After a week past and nothing came, I then took the time to track down other emails of his and sent the info to him.

Then a few more days past and he finally sent me a response saying that my email had somehow gotten on the wrong list and since I had purchased through an affiliate and not directly from him that I was not entitled to the bonus.

The original email he sent to me did not say anything about needing to have purchased through his list. If it had, I would have checked to see if my purchase was with him or an affiliate. But since he failed to say so, I had know way to know.

His only response to me regarding the matter is that if I don`t like it, I can cancel. So he didn`t care that HIS MISTAKE cost me time and effort. He could have given me the bonus since he made the mistake and I had made substantial effort to receive it, or he could have offered something of somewhat lesser value, but just as a token of his sincerity for the fact it was his mistake and not mine, or even offered to make the bonus available to me if I made my next purchase of his through his link. Anything, to make up for the fact that I wasted my time and effort because of HIS MISTAKE.

But I guess he feels it is ok if he makes a mistake and waste his customers time and effort. Everyone makes mistakes. I myself make many. But I have been in the marketing game for most of my adult life and there is no question that you build and earn more by treating your customers with respect and doing what you can to make up for mistakes when they happen rather than flipping off the customer with ill concern.

So in conclusion. If you are an advanced marketer there is a good chance you will know most of what is offered here, although even an advanced marketer may get something from it. But do not expect hand holding or detailed explanation as you will not find it here.

And if your experience with Cossack is similar to mine it is likely that any direct contact with Cossack will be received with short, flippant responses that show little or no concern for you as a paying customer.

As for the early misunderstandings about the OTO`s, it is likely because Cossack most often sells software with related training rather than training with related software as an OTO.

The first OTO is a Developers version of software the helps automate part of the process covered in the training. The second OTO is a downsale which offers the same software with a multi-site license that can be used on any amount of sites you own, but not customer sites you service.

My first reaction to what you said was defense. But then in reading it I could agree that most of what you had said is fair. I can remember some of the circumstances of your issue. Justifications for my actions seem right to me, but have no context or relevancy to you as a customer. So, sorry for the bad support you have received from me. I certainly hope and believe that it is an isolated incident. As, for not caring, it might seem that way. Short flippant answers it may seem. But, I am no writer, so this has taken me an age to write and a fair bit of energy. A lot of my answers are done in humor/jest. I understand that a lot of people don't "get it". I understand that. Yes, you could tweak the method, but it would not work straight out of the box.

You have more steps in there than the method I show. After setup of the sites. It is just upload a video and the rest is done. You would have to be saving at least 2 mins++ each video. Might not seem like much, but it automates a tedious process and if you make a lot of videos will save you a lot of time. Once you pay for this WSO, it is free

That is it, "time consuming". Any time you can eliminate time, it will save you time. Total automation after setup is better than a little bit of tedious work any day.

That is a good question. Actually, I don't claim anything, unlike other WSOs you see. All I am saying is that backlinks do work to videos. That is a proven fact. Authority site backlinks are better than rubbish backlinks any day. But, no I don't have some dodgy case study to show you.

The difference is the variety of sites and diversity of backlinks. Some of the places you will get anchor text (or keyword) backlinks.

You could actually just add a video as a Favorite. In doing that you can get backlinks to older videos of yours or your clients just by adding a video as a favorite. Nice!

Have you made a downloadable version of the product videos yet? I really find it annoying to have to look up a link and visit a webpage to access a product I purchased.

It is not difficult to record the videos, make a PDF of the added content on the page add a link to your plugin sales page, put it all in a folder, zip it and upload it to your server.

You have an excellent product. Why not use it to develop a loyal following and rack up more sales of your plugin by providing a downloadable product to your customers on your original offer?
