Shelle, I purchased both the FB version and the MockUp (OTO). Do either programs come with Lifetime or one year updates, since Facebook might change their Timeline or images sizes? Thx, John |

Just a few practical examples:
In my opinion, Jay's suggestion is invaluable. The most useful of the entire thread. In addition, I really believe that it perfectly meshes with the concept of the tool and it would satisfy the requirements of a much wider range of users. The possibilities are endless. You could even create a community (forum or whatever) where you and your customers could share preset packs and ideas. What do you think about this? Sincerely Sherry, can we expect this implementation? All the best, Diego

Hi Diego Thanks for your inquiry... I have the "custom" function built in so you can add any size that you need. We have two versions here, one that is specifically just the custom sizing only which would benefit any type of user and one that is specifically focused for Facebook but also allows the custom sizing. Your suggestions are fabulous and very well noted. It is very well possible that I come up with a broader program targeted to more web users in general as you are suggesting, this particular edition just so happens to be targeted for Facebook users. The nice thing about programming or creating software is you can create different editions that target specific markets if one area needs a function to work a particular way over another targeted market. I do absolutely love this idea and am in no way overlooking the suggestion. There are just many factors to consider in terms of whether I expand or build new as I have an entire program already built and functioning. - Is it feasible to update this product with that feature - Will that feature be compatible with the rest of my functions - Will it benefit this target audience - Will it require a complete overhaul of the project in order to accommodate those features - Is it best to design a new program that functions according to that targeted market needs With that said, I do listen to needs of my customers, consider what will benefit them while determining whether it is possible/feasible to work in those requests. If it is a complete overhaul (in essence that the program acts and functions completely different) in all likely hood would result in a new targeted market edition. Now if it meshes well with current coding and easily integrates then an expansion would be a sound update. Again, all based on how much re-working, re-coding, compatibility issues, etc. Appreciate you input ;0) Will keep it in mind for sure. Shelle Quote:

As an owner of a Graphic Design Crowdsourcing company this sound quite interesting for graphic designers as well as non graphic designers. I have not personally bought it , yet have chatted with the owner even though she won the WSOD and was actually supporting this product. Very rare these days for product owners to actually read their own emails. I 'm reminded of Craig of Craig's List who is a friend of mine when asked at a conference who reads your email and he said " I do" . We should learn from people who actually do read their emails . True outsourcing is great but there is something about personal touch. |

Hi Shelle Looks like a very useful tool. I watched the video in your sales letter but didn't notice if the text has an opacity level slider. It would be a nice feature to watermark images for copyright or web address viewing. Sometimes there's a need for subtle text to blend in and not be so bold. Thanks Jack |

Hey Thanks for the inquiry! This is for users who are not advanced with cropping techniques or setting up specific canvas sized areas for Photoshop and then adjusting images to fit within. The quickness is that you use a predefined size or quick custom setting and it instantly crops to that size. It also does keep your existing image loaded in your screen without fully committing changes to your canvas area. It will give you a quick preview window. Simply save and repeat. This allows you to quickly move around the screen and make multiple crops one after another very quickly literally seconds after each other. Hope that helps! Quote:
No the text does not have an opacity at this time but I am working on some new updates and opacity is high on the list! Quote:

If you do your own websites then this is one of the best buy you can find on Warrior amidst all the fluff and BS software. I have bought from here another FB header program but works only online but this FB Icon Magic is simply awesome!!! Makes difficult graphic cropping so dead easy. No brainer to buying this.

| Hi Shelle, How considerate, I'm very, very happy that it is also Mac friendly, I couldn't have got it otherwise. How refreshing, something creative that could stand alone as just that, a lovely timeline creator and somewhere there is mentioned, a lot of other uses such as Quotes for pinterest. I make it no secret I do not usually like OTO's, there are exceptions though and this is one and so I like to show appreciation First it is relevant, though not needed to use main offer, which most folk seem to agree on is important ![]() Also it is not what most OTO's are 'now we've got your wallet open with a tempting low cost offer, here's an offer you can't refuse that costs much more' , that is soo against my ethics on how to treat people, manipulative marketing makes one karmically responsible and is soo last century. This is a friendly helpful OTO and less than the main offer That's is very wise marketing, leave folks happy and they'll become loyal customers ![]() actually looking out for your next offer and opening your emails ![]() Keep up the great work in gently showing folks the better ways to go about things ![]() much appreciation lotusdragon |

Hi I have PM'd those suggestions I had, just wanted to say I use a lot of premium image software's but the features for creating FB images just makes this a great edition, it save me loads of time and I then can edit the images created if I want in other graphics programs if I need too, it complements the other software, cant wait for the next version. |

When Shelle first debuted this package (after talking about it several times before, I thought, "Cool, but I'm very adept at GIMP and my daughter is a whiz at Photoshop, so we don't really need this." And for a large part of the equation, that is probably true. Then, Shelle made her video and sent out an email about it (I didn't even visit the sales thread to see the first video originally). This morning, I finally took a little free time to watch the two videos on the sales thread. Then, I did a face-palm thinking why didn't I look at this earlier. So what if I can make GIMP sing, dance, and even play music. So what if my daughter is a whiz at Photoshop. So what if those two tools can do all of this. This tool is very useful because it is what I would term a "non-destructive editor". In Photoshop and GIMP when you crop somthing, it actually removes it from the file you are working on. Then, you save it as a new file to preserve the original file and still save the modified file. With this tool, you can crop, preserve the original file, and save the cropped file in less time than it takes me to do the "Save As" function in GIMP or Photoshop. That's where the value is. So what if I "can" do it elsewhere - here you can do it and in less time. That's real value - saving time while preserving quality. Sorry for doubting the value of your product Shelle - well, for doubting that it had value for me. Now, my eyes have been opened. JDD |

Hey JDD Thank you so much for taking the time to write up your real and honest review. It is so true that most would initially think, eh' cropping - so what? I can do this elsewhere. Great points on how Gimp and Photoshop actually perform their crops removing (clipping) for the area that is not within your crop selection. For FB Icon Magic, it's not that we can crop -- it's "how" we crop. And until you watch the videos, you really don't understand the magic to it all. With this magic cropping technology - it allows you to take that original photo, crop out design after design specifically sized without ever destroying your original photo. I appreciate you finally found your way over to the thread to take a peak! Hope you get some great use out of this technology ;0) Again thank you so much for pointing this out and sharing your experience. Appreciate it Shelle Quote:

So if i buy the tool without facebook presets but crop images on the specific sizes that then can be used on facebook as a timeline or whatever isn't it the same?

HiGeoBak Thanks for the inquiry. You can purchase just the custom edition and input your custom sizes. You can set the custom sizer to your size preference, including FB sizes if you choose, they just won't be there for quick action presets. Hope that helps! Shelle |

Hi Shelly and thanks for the prompt reply. Everything is clarified now. I will proceed with buying your software ![]() I am pretty sure that most of the sales will be for the facebook preset tool. Many people are lazy enough to search for the dimensions ![]() I am one of your fans since I've bought some more of your facebook related products and i am pretty sure this one rocks too ![]() Keep it up! |

I really need this software but I am an app developer not Facebook. There is no other tool available that can zoom then crop as well. I fail to see why you just did not produce a product where you could enter your own presets and so away with the basic version. There is also NO other software that restricts you like you are trying to do and it has totally spoilt this wonderful piece of software. What were the technical reasons for your decision (I cant imagine any except trying to be sneaky marketing it? Personally I will say again. Allow User Presets and dump the basic version! PLEEEAAASSSSEEEEE Do this as I would have bitten your arm off to get a copy!!! Thanks and PM when you have it sorted. I will even buy a custom build from you for my team if you want to go that way!!?? Cheers Richard Young |

Hey There.. Strangely I did not get notice of your comment. Myself and my clients work with FB heavily, that is the reason for the FB version, there is nothing sneaky behind it. There is also the custom version of this software that was made instantly available on the sales page that allows you to set your own custom sizes. This has been an option from the very beginning so in no way have you been limited to the FB version or FB only presets. You have always been allowed to set your own custom size. Thanks! Quote:

Hi Shelly I've been playing with ICM and like the simplicity. One thing I thought would be nice is if I had a little better control on scaling down an image to fit the width and height setting. Example: I have a 3000 x 2000 image that I needed to re-size to 520 x 390. I would use the zoom feature to bring it down to fit the cropper shadow. Being that the image was so large, the zoom scale wasn't able to increment down minutely without jumping up or down 70+ pixels. Do you have a recommendation for this? Any news on the version 2 yet? Thanks Jack |

This looks like a time saver and very useful tool. I appreciate it's simplicity and understand it is not to replace a full blown graphics program but I'm wondering. Can you choose different fonts for text, can they be bolded, and are there any drop shadow features? I watched both vids but don't recall seeing. Jim |

Yes, this definitely does not replace Photoshop. The main advantage and function of the software is the crop utility. With that said I did want to add a few more features while you have your images open so you can add text. This will allow you to choose preinstalled fonts that you have on your system. It does not do bold or styles though. There is not currently a drop shadow in V1 but I did build it into V2. I have V2 in beta testing right now so should be released sometime soon. thanks for the interest ;0)
