Can you insert different pictures into the templates? The thing about erotica is you have to make the cover relevant to the story and being limited to just a few pictures wouldn't work.

Thanks Brad! You hit the nail on the head about image rights. There are photographers and agencies out there who make more money from copyright-infringement settlements and lawsuits than they do from actual image licensing.

At some point, there's bound to be a sweep through this business. All Kindle book covers are displayed plain as day on Amazon. It makes Amazon into a virtual catalog for image agencies to search through, looking for potential infringements. Best to use your own images or those you KNOW are safe, like the images in MY templates.

Hi Tedk, thanks for the question. This set of templates has fixed photos, you can't change them, like in my other multi-use templates. The reason for this is licensing -- I want my buyers of this upcoming package to be SURE that the photos they use are 100% safe and they won't end up getting a smackdown over copyright.

Now, the end result of what I'm designing is going to be more than just 2 covers. I won't say how many yet, but let's just say you'll have a very good variety to choose from. If you have certain types of photos that would better fit your niche, feel free to send me a PM here or on Skype and let me know what you're looking for. The information will be kept strictly between us.

You do have an absolutely valid point. One other solution is my set of non-niche specific covers WITH replaceable image fields available in another WSO:

Hi DJL, thanks for the question. I can see how those two quotes might seem in conflict with each other, if you aren't familiar with my templates. Here's the deal...

These two templates have the photos permanently embedded in them. You can use Adobe Reader to change the text on the templates into a book cover, an ad, whatever, and save it as a new PDF. I then show you how to convert that new PDF into a JPG, then you're good to go.

The first quote says: you can CREATE whatever you want from these templates, whether it's a book cover graphic or an ad or something that I haven't even thought of.

The second quote is ONLY about the PICTURE that's embedded in each template. Create what you want using the TEMPLATE, but I don't want the buyer extracting that PICTURE and using it for something somewhere else unconnected to my templates.

Does that make sense? If not, let me know. Thanks for asking!

These are pretty poor quality honestly. I wouldn't use them on any of my books.

2/3rds of the first cover is a gaudy block of text. The color scheme is a poor choice, and the image just feels off somehow.

The second cover is a closeup of a face that looks to have been massively and obviously retouched, not to mention another horrible color scheme.


Both images just feel weird overall and wouldn't be suitable as covers.

Thank you for taking the time to comment. I have to confess I'm a bit confused by how black & white is a "horrible color scheme" but everyone is welcome to their opinion. Yes, you're correct, the photos were retouched for glamour-style usage, which is quite different than amateur-look reality.
