Your plugin is intriguing. Several questions:

1. What kind of links are the final 200 you selected? You mention you shaved down from 500 and include .gov. Do you still include .edu? Also, I am still confused thought, are these still just indexing links that work on all your new posts? Or is there any SEO value for these links to each post page?

2. Is there a way to drip feed past posts into campaigns (posts prior to implementing plugin) ? If I am doing some auto curation, what category is selected as a default, or does it even matter?

3. Is the backlink created the name of the post? Or can that be edited within the RSS feed created?

Hi Myra,

Good to see you again.

I do believe there is still a .edu link or two in there. I have not manually confirmed that though. I do know though that there are 45 or so .gov sites. Most of these links are indexing site style, exit links, etc. A bunch of hidden treasure for sure

I don't think categories matter. We did not add anything category related in that sense (that I know of). Do let me know though if that gives you issues.

In regards to creating campaigns for old posts, it does currently not do that. I am working on a couple ideas though that might make this possible after a future Samson Elite update .

UPDATE: It now DOES have the option of creating campaigns for old posts. In fact, it does it on auto-pilot. You can adjust (to your liking) how many old posts per day it creates campaigns for.

There are a handful of sites that will take a keyword you enter in to the campaign (or a tag if auto-create was used) and use it as anchor text. Most however will use either the URL or Google loving "click here" "see here" "see link" style anchor text (which are perfect to mix up your backlink portfolio with).

All in all my emphasis is more on the software then on the links themselves simply because users do have the option of adding their own URLs, and I encourage them to do so.

Yes, it has a lot of options as you pointed out, but you don't NEED any of those for the plugin to work.

You can totally add your own URLs if you want, yes!

Yes and no!

Right now the automated posting only works with new posts, but I am working on possibly adding the feature of doing the same for older posts. The demand is there and it would come handy even on my own sites so... no promises, but I can forsee a near future update having that.

I have never had an issue, but you could by all means not use the mass indexing addon feature (where it submits to linklicious). Other then that you have not much to worry about. Simply because the feed only contains however many URLs you tell it to contain and if that is your only way of getting the backlinks indexed, you should be very safe.

Hi,

You can manually add any URL you want and create a campaign around it. The "create auto campaign" feature however will only work with WP blog posts.

Based on the video walkthrough of your plugin, seems the sites you have are mostly
statistics like sites (think Scrapebox rapid indexer etc).

What value, if any, can one gain from such backlinks and, do you have proof for any ranking you may have achieved using these backlinks?

Everything can be overdone,

I honestly would not worry about it, but if you are, by all means go easy on it. Maybe only create a campaign for every other post you make (if you are a manual blogger).

Can you clarify... Is this what this plugin does? I know it uses RSS feeds. Just not sure how. I don't want to do anything that's going to look unnatural or be suspicious. Hoping you can put my mind at ease here, as this sounds great otherwise.

Hi again,

Manual work sounds so hard and it can be time consuming, I know. Which is why i create these software tools: to automate things.

Anyway, it takes about 30 seconds to create a campaign for 1 URL. If you watch the video, you can see how I do it very quickly while yapping a lot

The rest of the process (like pinging the campaign, etc) you can set up so that it automates it.

Google owns feedburner. In fact, they spent over a billion $ to acquire it. No one is going to convince me that they do not like feeds

Now, if you stuff feeds full of links with no content in them etc, I could see why they would hate them. That would be spammy even in my books.

Having said that though, there is no telling what Google prefers at the moment. All I know is that these are pretty solid feeds, and again, if you don't have too many URLs displayed at once (no more than 20 at a time), you should be fine.

Look at this plugin as you would at a hunting rifle: it can be used for good, but can also be used for bad. It all comes down to how you use it

Those are just my 2 cents on the matter. I tried being honest and non-biased. It's hard to do at times

Anyways, about the URLs: there are a lot of statistical type sites, but also .gov and other URLs. My selling point here is not the URLs however - simply because I encourage users to add their own list of URLs to submit to. My pride and joy is much more the plugin itself - which is the "enabler" for these backlinks. I hope that makes sense.

I have a list of customer testimonials from customers using either the plugin itself or just the list of URLs and I am going to be adding those to the thread after I get some good sleep (been up 24 hrs) and I think that will be proof enough.

Lastly, I encourage users to get a healthy variety of backlinks from many different sources. Not all from one source (like this plugin for example) so, I think you are looking at it from the wrong angle. These backlinks alone - though from a variety of different sites already - are hardly a healthy backlink balance.

Assume indexing site style. They all vary, but that is the format they come in.

There is no limit on how many sites you can include. There is no OTO on the Elite version.
