Hi Warriors, I have owned Hot Keyword Spy since February 2009 and have found it to be a very useful tool. It narrows the search for not just keywords, but buying keywords in the current market. This is very valuable. I have a number of keyword tools, some very good, and Egan's Hot Keyword Spy is a great value. You will pay double for tools that fall short of this one.

Hi Bruce,

I think GCD is excellent, but Hot Keyword Spy works differently. GCD track keywords over time and when you look at a keyword with GCD you can see who uses that in a campaign, if the campaign is running over a period of time, the thinking is that it must be making money.

There are other alternatives that work on the same basis.

Hot Keyword Spy is not limited to a database of keywords, you can search for keywords and build a list of under the radar (that is to say keywords not being used yet in campaigns, but relevant), you can also see new keywords, because Hot Keyword Spy works from the view point of finding keywords people are searching for right now.

I guess if we tracked keywords we would end up with something similar, and a pricepoint similar to GCD.

But Hot Keyword Spy helps to setup original campaigns, rather than copy existing (which is not a guarantee of success ... since you may not get the same Cost Per Click or Quality score of the campaign that is working).

Hi Rick,

We don't yet have a PDF manual, we are adding tutorials over the next week or so, I guess you could say we are still in pre-release (for example we just added a new Ebay Search).

Some users who have tried the Hot Keyword Spy says it does alot more than Micro Niche Finder. I have that tool, and its good.

This actually has more built in search features, and more options for the returned adwords data. MNF doesn't have any search url (to get keywords) or Hot Clickbank/Hot Amazon or Hot Ebay feature.

If I instal the 30 day trial first then download the full version when you send the reg key, will I have to uninstall the trial version or instal the full version over it or just enter the reg key to unlock the full version ?

how does this tool find profitable keywords? how does it determine which keywords will be profitable and which ones won't?

Hi Brendan,

The answer is that the Hot Keyword Spy uses the Google CPC, Clicks Available and Affiliate Commission and Gravity to determine the likely return on investment. So if you bought all the clicks at x cost, and could sell the product which has gravity of y at z commission (gravity dictates the likely conversion) ... then you can come up with an estimate.

The software does that automatically for you.

It is not infallible. But if a keyword cost is too high, and conversion is 1% then you can see that there is no money to be made using that keyword/product combination. Which is invaluable in deciding whether or not to use that keyword.

Hey I don't use adwords at all. But I do have a system that I use for sites but need to match keywords to products. Would this software also work for me? I have seen it being compared to micro niche finder. Does this help find the low hanging fruit? Sorry for all the questions I have just been torn between this and micro niche finder.

You can use a clickbank product (or any url) as a start point and it will begin to find keywords. Of course no software will do it all for you. But it will go out and find keywords, and give you an understanding of whether or not the keyword is commercial (see new Commercial Intent feature) and the profitability.

Hi Rajul,

I don't think that data is available to the public, I would think thats only internally accesible by Google, and other search engines.

The Hot Keyword button produces a list of the current hot searched for keywords on a live basis. As different seed websites update their lists (by the minute, hour and day) the Hot Keyword Spy may produce different keywords. One day George W is in them, and the next Obama.

We can look at incorporating additional features. Of course that only applies to the @craigslist addresses.
