I've read the support/not working/etc
issues on this thread and decided to chime in.
However, there are general comments and update suggestions
that I'm NOT responding to (that's what we're supposed to do here ).

It's the multiple complaints on what's not working, what the
vendors are doing wrong, should have done, etc. and long waits
for support to respond to their individual issue.

Let’s throw some basic numbers into the equation.
If there are 3 people doing customer service
(plus updates) for this launch and each service
request takes a minimum of 5 minutes to resolve,
then the maximum tickets that can be completed per
hour would be 36
(60 minutes divided by 5 equals 12 times 3 people = 36)
600 sales were made within the 1st 10 minutes or so. If half of the
people had problems, and then there are 300 minimum tickets.
300/36 tickets per hour is 8.33 hours JUST to get through
those 300 tickets.

That estimate does not even include the:

Duplicate tickets
Forum Complaints
Upgrades
World time Differences
other issues
Sleep for the vendors

So I'd say that 24-48 hours would not be an unreasonable
expectation to give Nick and the crew time to get to your
issue. Now add that someone said 1900 copies were sold
and you can multiply the above estimates by 3.
Somewhere we have seem to lost the fact that the Warrior
Forum is technically a "Beta" platform.

We get products cheap; tell the vendor the problems,
they fix them then go and launch to the general public
at a higher price somewhere like Clickbank, Commission Junction,
etc.

If customers would remember these basics, MAYBE we could
get a little more patience and less name calling.

It's not that hard a thought.

1) If you don't want the hassles, wait and buy at a higher price
on a different venue.

2) If you want the discount price, buy on the forum, submit your
ticket and wait for the problem to be fixed [if ever] and understand
there are going to be delays and pruduct issues.

Sure it's frustration to have to wait hours or days (I've waited a week)
to get something that you purchased with your hard earned money,
but again remember this is a Beta forum and those kinds of issues are
to be expected. This is the fact that some customers won't purchase here
and many "Gurus" have stopped selling here {and why I don't post that often}

Simple, the choice is ours, but let’s please be respectful adults.

Rico

PS
Nick and Mike, thanks for making this product. I've purchased and
am patiently waiting for the bugs to be worked out. I have lots of videos
that I can do many things with this :-)

I just could NOT read through 20 pages. IS this just a player? Or a way to edit and produce the videos as well?

It's the player
(with minor editing features for pre-made videos)

Thanks to whoever suggested the licensing issue was related to my buying the OTO and trying to activate the main plugin and not the OTO. After deactivating and deleting the original the OTO Plugin activated perfectly.

Now to play with this baby and see what it can do!

No, The functionality will only work on your own sites, or I believe it will work for affiliates. You cannot change the way that videos display on youtube with any external player.

The only changes you can make to a youtube video displayed on youtube is adding overlays using their functionality.

What's actually very exciting about people reporting issues is ... at least they aren't leaving it to collect digital dust on their hard drive!

Well done, folks!

Looks and sounds really promising.
Key questions for me:
How proven is this software?
How reliable is it?
Will it continue to be serviced professionally and reliably?
Will support questions be answered promptly?

I ask these questions because several high profile Warriors here have released products that have not serviced or supported them willingly - or at all.

Cheers

FYI, if anyone else uses it.......This is NOT compatible with OptinLite plugin.

So, I will just DEactivate the SVP plugin until issues are resolved.

GREAT......Works wonderful.

So sorry about this - I can totally understand your frustration.

I mentioned this issue in an earlier post - and let everyone know I was fixing it... and I did fix it. An Update was published - if you look at the Install Helper screen, you will see the most current download.

Also - there seems to be some issue with server to server communication - and a bunch of upgrades were not posted to the database... I am working really hard to get all the licenses up to date.

Which brings me to a very important point.... and I take full responsibility for this:

This is my first time using Mike's Awesome WSO Pro Adaptive and I did not communicate with Mike very well on the set-up (my bad). If you purchased the FanBuzz Upgrade OTO, please ONLY INSTALL the FanBuzz Upgrade Plug-in... it includes Simple Video Pro.

If you got the Upgrade, your license is for the all inclusive upgrade and SVP by itself will not validate. BUT on top of that, there is the licensing issue - so I am writing a script that will fix it all at once...

This has been a rocky start - partially because it was so huge, and partly we're trying some new things and this is not an average plug-in - it really is awesome and well worth getting past the bumps in the road, so please be patient. I did not take a nap or go to lunch or relax on the couch - I am here working hard behind the scenes for all of you. I stand by Simple Video Pro 100%...

...and I sincerely apologize for the confusion and inconvenience.

Sincerely,

Nick

PS: I have been trying to respond to all the support tickets, but I am working to fix everyone at once - rather than do one at a time and make everyone wait.

Have you tried to 'Save Settings' after installing the OTO plug-in? I ended up doing the same as you after several trial and error attempts. Looks like it was all working until I tried to save settings - it wouldn't recognize my PP e-mail.

Just curious, perhaps I have a separate issue ...

I made the mistake of installing Simple Video Pro then trying to install the OTO (which is the most incredible value by the way), but figured it out later.

If you did the same, then delete BOTH plugins (two are installed when you install SVP) and delete the installers via FTP from your uploads directory too (not sure if that was necessary though).

Now you can install afresh with ONLY the OTO installer and follow the same instructions as before. Works great.

Would love to upgrade to the dev edition as that button wasn't available when I ordered this at precisely 12. Will send a support ticket to see what can be done.

Hi - Yes it can auto play. It does not count views across pages - BUT is does something better for you!

In the video widget, there is a "Display on Pages" tab - and you can inclusively display in only on certain pages -- or exclusively not display it on certain pages.

So every page can have a different video in the side bar if you like. Note: this is for pages - not blog posts - but you can set it to display/not display on blog posts.

Cool?

I'm tellin' ya - get past these launch woes with me and you will be glad you did!

You could also go into your cpanel and go to the sql database and click on "Repair database". That will keep it clean and well running.

For a closer look at your database to see which of your plugins are actually using the most bytes and may be slowing your blog down or causing conflicts you can use the TentBlogger Optimize WordPress Database FREE plugin:

Which will actually show you your DataBase tables per line item detail stats thus informing you which plugins you migth want to un-install to return back to maximum performence, for instance any plugin that may keep stats like a NewsLetter plugin or kStats or any stat program accumulates over time to a large size database which will significantly slow down your blog and may even cause conflicts with any new plugin install like "Simple Video Player".

Your DataBase is exactly what it says, "It's The Base Of EveryThing", if it's not optimize to function at it's best, then everything else will also perform poorly, One of the best things you can do for your blog is to consistently optimize and clean your WordPress database.

Hello,

Seems like a great plugin !

Just a few questions here :
Does the developer license comes with full source code or is the source code encrypted ?

Is it working with S3 expiring url mechanism ?
Is it working with Cloudfront expiring url mechanism ?

Is it working with CloudFront streaming distributions (RTMP protocol and/or its variants) ?

Thank you !
Allan

Yup...if you got the OTO and can't activate the plugin see post #1028....it says to just install the OTO helper plugin and not the main one. That works.

But does anyone have the problem of the SVP iframe window in the wordpress plugin area being cutoff on the right side?

Quick Question (couldn't find answer in sales pitch or threads, but it may be here):

Does the plugin give the option to prevent the youtube "related videos" at the end of the play if we playing youtube hosted videos?

Thank you in advance.

Nick, I've been tracking comments and I'm impressed with your level of commitment!! Are you married? ... just jokin'

As I commented earlier, I'm impressed with the features and the 0T0 sound like a great compliment.

I have a few questions:

1. If I purchase the Personal Use license and apply the features,

a) can I embed the video link on our website?
b) can I embed the Video on G+, Pinterest or Facebook and will all features work?
c) what would be the cost to upgrade later?

I know u r busy and would sincerely appreciate your reply when u r available.

Cheers, ZKhan

I am strongly considering the Developers version of this plugin, but if I decide instead to get the personal, I have a question. The basic allows you to install on up to 3 sites, where as unlimited allows any amount of sites you own. But since this is just a tool that does overlays and the other functions and creates an embed code that can be installed on any site... wp, html (can it be installed on html sites?) and other sites then why is it necessary to have it installed on all of your wp sites?

I can see a slight added convenience (and perhaps for only $10 more it is worth it) to have on each site, but since I have wp and html sites, many of my video creations would be created from the plugin and using the embed code added to my html sites.

I want to make sure I am understanding the licenses correctly. If I buy the personal use basic package, I can install on up to 3 sites, but even if only on one wp site I can create videos which are hosted on youtube, AS3..... are vimeo hosted videos supported? And once I have the videos created and hosted, I can then use this plugin to create the overlays and an embed code that can allow all functionality of the overlays to be embedded on any site I want... is that correct?

Then I think I would have had a separate web page to link out to which would demonstrate videos that had the SVP function embedded into them.

You are lucky if you are helped to your satisfaction within 3 days! And then, many of the replies are standard generic replies. It's like your email has not even been read. So you waste time going back and forth with emails.

Why some people on this forum are so impatient is beyond me, so easily ready to get a refund. Just because they have not been assisted in a few hours. In the meanwhile, only hurting themselves on a product that has unbelievable potential and not to mention a knockout price!

Only If you purchase FanBuzz(OTO) and to me it looks like expiring mechanism only works for files other than videos.

>>Is it working with Cloudfront expiring url mechanism?
NO

I also want to know from authors whether they have plans to come up with functionalties mentioned by you.

Mike and Nick...

I'm wondering, why don't you do a video showing buyers how to unpack and install SVP into WordPress

Surely that's got to save a lot of questions and confusion

LOL, there are videos mate. That is the point, the plugin is not working for some for various reasons. (besides how to install).

Yep, that's right.....

If you upload a SVP video to YouTube they will remove all the 'bells and whistles' SVP creates.

Yes, this is pretty much exactly how it works. Install the plugin in wordpress, and embed the videos anywhere.

There are some features (like the content reveal) that cannot work with the embed because SVP won't have control over the rest of the page, but most features can and do work great embedded anywhere.

Hope that helps.

Hello nick

I previously bought the AIOVT instamagic plugin and it was great, but I upgraded my PHP version to 5.3x to use a new plugin (MDD by Kevin Koop) and having your AIOVT active made everything crash so I deactivated AIOVT and everything including my MDD plugin worked.

But seeing the your new launch I tried to see if I could get AIOVT to work with my PHP 5.3, but it would not work. Is there a way that I can get your plugin to work with PHP 5.3??

I tried browsing the thread but after a few pages I decided to post this. I wonder if others have had the same problem.

Thanks I always enjoy your emails and videos and your products

I realise I'm coming into this offer a little late, so excuse my ignorance if this has already been discussed...

How is this player handled in HTML 5 / CSS 3 environment, especially for mobile websites ?

Cheers,

Hi folks;

Well for those with HTML sites, part of this product is working on my HTML page but not the most important part, the Buy button. Hope Nick and Mike can come up with a solution. In WordPress all is working fine. Here is what I mean.

If you go here (just a test site), you'll see it works quite nicely in WordPress. Hover and you'll see the social media buttons .. and 5 seconds in you'll see the Buy button.
Test POST

But take the embed code to an HTML page and several things do not occur.
1 - No Facebook icon on the video
2 - The Twitter icon is missing but the text is there (barely readable)
3- No Buy Button after 5 seconds.

I checked in both FFox and Chrome with same result.
And on my IPad for the Html page, nothing appears (ie: no video player)

Go here and scroll down to "Let It Be"

Classic Rock Songs By The Beatles

I'll leave this page up til noon on Sunday for Nick and Mike to view in case they have a solution .. sure hope so.

Thanks guys ... btw .. this is with the last ver update - Version 1.2.0.014
