Now if we actively targeted these small businesses with this magazine either by direct mail or in person then that would be a more efficient time and money spent since you are targeting exactly the clients that you want to do business with instead of waiting for search traffic to come to your site (which if it does happen might be only a few people a month). Can you give some feedback on this?

Any input and ideas that you can give would very much appreciated. It is only the second issue and already we have taken on board a lot of feedback and implemented the ideas. The response and constructive comments have been tremendous. Wendy is the girl to talk to about anything technical though ![]() Regards Gary

I don't know if I fully understand your question, sorry. Are you asking about other ways to target your customers without relying on SEO? If so, would you be more interested in knowing about?:
If that is the kind of things you mean then our new private Facebook group for IMG members will discuss tried and tested marketing to local strategies that work. Wendy and I are even going to supply you with a lot of the promotional tools as well. It is going to be quite exciting ![]() Best wishes Gary

The magazine is a subscription based magazine and you are sent your issue every 30 days after payment. So, if for example you first purchased the magazine 15 days ago, your new payment will come out in 15 days time and your next issue will be sent personally by Wendy. I hope that clarifies things for you ![]() Regards Gary

Hi Gary/Wendy: Just want to say what a fantastic offer this is for the offliner. The quality of the magazine is super. I think any business getting this would be really, really impressed. It looks very professional and the information is useful for them without "giving away the farm". So there is your chance to come across as a real online marketing expert. And it is set up to get them wanting to know more - leading to a call for you! I had no problem with downloading & installing the software. Just opened the PDF magazine and had a quick see about the editing - it's really straight forward, intuitive in how to use it though the accompanying instructions are comprehensive - you cannot go wrong really. I intend sending this out to my networking group and any business owner I meet - it's easy just to say: "I have a monthly magazine all about every aspect of online marketing for your business - would you like to get a copy?" I have 1 question for you - I believe this is the 2nd edition of the magazine. Is the 1st one written around G+ Local? If so is it possible to get this copy? G+ Local is more my thing than mobile so would suit me better to send that out first. Though I am 100% delighted with this one and am looking forward to further editions. Keep up the great work.Frank |

Thanks very much for taking the time to leave your feedback and I am thrilled that you like it so much. It is definitely an effective pre-selling tool. The articles are written layman terms and explained in such a way that they encourage the local business to want to know more about your your services. The reason why most local business are so hard to sell to, is because they are too busy trying to run their business that they don't have time to explore the options of going online. Also because they don't fully understand internet marketing and social media they tend to bury their heads in the sand and won't commit to anything. Sadly most local businesses are quite scared of the internet because they don't understand it. This magazine breaks the barriers down and does the pre-selling so that they can make a more informed decision. As it looks so professional, you look like a expert and they will make sure that they use your services and not anybody elses. I am over the moon that you found the editing easy and pain-free. ![]() Quite often (but not always ), some of the Warriors who have bought the magazine are so eager to jump right in and get started with the magazine, that they forget to read the manual or miss out some of the steps, which can cause a few complications. It is very frustrating for them and we want them toi LOVE it and get up and running very quickly. So Wendy spent days (literally) writing the manual and providing graphics and screenshots to make sure that anybody editing the magazine is taken step by step through the procedure and can be up and running very quickly. I am delighted that you have found this to be the case too. Once again, thank you very very much for your comments. Best wishes Gary PS. We are setting up a page where subscribers can purchase back issues but in the meantime if you send an email to Wendy she will organise this for you. Her email is in the manual ![]()

Thanks Gary - will email Wendy. Went back over the thread and saw that info! Any idea what next month's will be focusing on? Maybe you could add an end page about what is coming in the next edition - you know like they do on the TV shows? Just to keep the subscriber in the loop and maybe looking out for the next magazine. Again thanks for the excellent WSO. Frank |

| Hello everyone. We've put together a great BONUS Gift for everyone who has subscribed as a Thanks You for all your support. It is in not 1, not 2 but 3 parts! Part 1 - ADVERT PSD FILES We have included full PSD files of all the ads so far, with every element of the ad in its own editable layer. Text layers are still text editable, they haven't been rasterized or flattened. All the graphic touches are still removable, moveable and changeable. Not only that, but each Ad comes in a print resolution, full A4 portrait page size, and reformatted to an A5 landscape (1/2 page) size. (Don't say we don't spoil you!! )Part 2 - COVER AND CONTENT PAGE OVERLAY. The Cover overlay is for altering the title and subtitles, the Contents page overlay gives you a blank template to work from and box backgrounds to colour. Part 3 - EXCITING!! This is a new service we are proposing to make editing more flexible and personalisable (is that even a word? ) It involves access to image backgrounds but if you read through the text document 'GREATER EDITORIAL EDITING FREEDOM', it will give you a much better, more rounded picture. No doubt you will have many MANY questions, opinions and suggestions about these. We would love to hear them. Take the weekend to look them over and see how you could use them, then you can email us, post here or save it for the forth coming Facebook group. We are looking forward, and want your input so we can develop a product that has a degree of flexibility for everyone, no matter what their level of expertise. Have a good weekend. Wendy |

| Thanks Wendy ![]() Also we uploaded the UK English version, so that means that there is now a US English and UK English edition. We are spoiling you ha ha ![]() Regarding the bonus pack that we sent out today (all new subscribers get this too!) we would love your feedback. Are we on the right track? Is this the kind of service you want? We are trying to accommodate as many of your requests as we can, so please keep giving us your feedback so that this magazine continues to tick all of the boxes. Thanks very much Kind regards Gary |

Thanks for the bonus pack of images. But, I became confused when I read the document that came with it. In the middle of the document, you mention something that we should look at over the weekend and something that we don't have to purchase, but may decide to. What are you referring to? Thanks, Alton |

I think what you are talking about is in the Greater Editing Freedom document and it is this... "Due to popular demand, here is just one of the things that you have asked for and we really, really would love your feedback and comments about what you think: In this bonus pack we are giving you a free taster of an additional subscription service that will be available from the next issue. We are giving you FREE copies of the background images. This is really exciting as it gives you added editorial flexibility and customisation for your own magazine branding. The Page Backgrounds are the A4 print resolution background .PNG images, over which text has been laid to form the page. By removing the embedded text, you can now choose what text to put on the pages. (This is in addition to getting the PDF in its current form, so you can choose to remove as few or as many of the pages and re-edit as you wish)." If you re-read the entire document it gives you full details of why we are giving you the opportunity to increase the editing capacity of your magazine, but as it says in the document it is not an essential purchase. it is an option for those who may wish to have a greater degree of personalisation for their magazine. Hope this answers your question. Wendy

Hi G. Short answer is I don't really know. What base files can you import into Inkscape? The backgrounds are in Photoshop .PSD, graphics are in .PNG and .JPEG and the articles supplied are in both unformatted text and Microsoft Word. I would be interested to know though. Let me know how you get on. I can't even spell Portuguese (is that right?) never mind translate something into it. Good luck. Regards Wendy

Wendy as I'm a non techy guy, I maybe would need days to find out, so one last question after you can look at the spec from Inkscape Quote:
So if this is a editable PDF, or a AI document I believe we are ready to go. Does that sounds good to you? If yes I will give it a try. G.

Inkscape DOES work and looks like a great tool to edit this BUT... I would need a version with all the layers to change all the text and the images (if needed). As it is right now, I can't edit the Headlines, only the webaddress and the Title and subtitle. So if you guy's could provide a full layered version in PDF for someone like me, who would like to translate this into another language, then editing with Inkscape is not that difficult (get an hour and you will manage the most important points) G.

Sorry we can't send the magazine in out in any other formats at this time. Wendy has already provided lots of formats to the magazine and I'm sure that you will agree that she has done a brilliant job for just $6.95. In it's current format the magazine does a excellent job at pre-selling your offline services. In the manual Wendy even shows how you can EASILY add lots of your own content. ![]() The sky is the limit with this magazine and it already gives you lots of scope with what you can do with it. I would like that too and as far as I see it, if Wendy doesn't flatten the PDF leaving all the layers in tact, then we can edit this the way we need it. Any chance Wendy? Just give us 2 download links, for those who like to edit totally and for the others who like to use it as it is now, changing URL and a few things. G. P.S. This is only a request and by no means a complain about the quality of the product, OK.

I hear what you are saying. However, what we are supplying (and charging a nominal amount for what you are getting) is a ready to go, customisable PLR magazine. It was never our intention to provide a full graphic design service product. I understand that you see potential in what we are supplying, but the fact is what we are supplying you with is ready-to-go PLR, and you are getting all the graphics and articles to do what you want with. We deliberately kept the interactive editing on the PLR magazine down to a minimum, and by doing so, we can keep the subscription cost for the product to a low price. Imagine what you would expect to pay someone to supply you with a fully editable, full layered magazine that they researched, wrote, designed, laid out, edited, illustrated and presented you with so that you could not only put your name on but customise and sell on if you so wished? If you are finding Inkscape more comfortable to work with, then I can understand that you would prefer to do your editing in that program. It's always good to have alternatives. But as it is the equivalent of Adobe Illustrator, I don't feel it would benefit the majority of people. LibreOffice is much easier and intuitive to use than Inkscape in my opinion, but others may prefer it. I'll leave that option up to them. But as for support, we wouldn't be able to offer users any Inkscape support as it's not a program we have ever used before, and I wouldn't ever recommend Adobe Illustrator as an editing program of choice. With this kind of product, it is always going to be a choice between cost and editability. We are supplying essentially an off-the-shelf, ready to go PLR magazine for an off-the-shelf price, but giving subscribers the additional built-in elements of being able to brand and customise the magazine to their own companies. Looking at the product as it is at the moment :
We are commited to producing the best product we can, and to adding new services and features into the magazine. Some services will be an additional subscription cost but some won't. And of course, we will be giving you great bonus gifts every now and again. It's great that you have looked into alternative programs that work for you, and I'm sure others appreciate having an alternative too. Thanks for your research. Enjoy using the magazine, and I wish you every success. ![]() Best wishes Wendy

thank you very much in responding my requests. I see what you are explaining, makes sense. I didn't understood that you keep the editing possibilities limited on purpose. I thought that it's done to avoid people little experienced in editing this messing up their edition. My first priority was since the beginning to edit this into my language, so my need would be a fully editable PDF file to replace all text. This is for you no extra work, simply save it as that, other then the bonus images/graphics you delivered which took you time to assemble. But as you explained, you don't do this on purpose, I have to accept this. In case you ever change your mind, I would like to know what you would charge for such a fully editable PDF version. You could even limit the licence to "MUST BE TRANSLATED" so it's not going to harm your US/UK edition. I would use GERMAN and PORTUGUISE as language. About Inkscape, it's an alternative but I guess I will give your LibreOffice a try cause I could see one big problem in Inkscape: it opens and let me only edit ONE page at a time. Not good. Let's close that issue now, letting you take care to answer other clients questions, OK. Thank you very much for your patience and professional manner to handle this requests, showing once more that you both are truly pro's. G.

Hi LinkMetro, I was toying over the same thought myself BUT I think its not possible to classify it as spam without more details. My understanding is that if this was an unsolicited bulk email drop then yes, it is spam but if the emails were personalised (I'm talking about more than pulling a first name field from a database here) then it is not spam. I was thinking of sending some personalised emails as a strict one-off to local businesses but part of me thinks that maybe its better to just do a leaflet drop. Thoughts? |

In regards to the SPAM issue guys, As far as I am aware there are different rules regarding business emails rather than personal emails. Do a bit of research on it and I'm sure you'll find that if the email address is xx@company.com and is in the public domain then you are able to send them an unsolicited email. The caveat is that you must have a line saying something like"If you do not wish to receive emails from me then please reply with STOP in the subject line" - More an opt-out than an opt-in. But the fine line is when the email address is used publicly but is something like james@gmail.com. That is then a personal email address and should only be emailed with permission from the email owner i.e opted in. So the long and short of it is if a business puts their email out in the open then they are fair game for marketers. Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm in the UK and fairly sure those are the rules here. | Thanks, got your PM. Yeah, its definitely a tricky one. There is a HUGE fine to be paid if you break the Can Spam act 2003. If I do email some businesses, there will be some aspect of individual crafting and it will not be in bulk that's for sure.

We are in the process of opening up a private Facebook group where we will discuss the marketing that we use for the magazine as well as direct mail and leaflet templates etc. Marketing that works for us is: *Personalised direct mail *Networking events *Leaflets and flyers *Classified ads *Gumtree We will be talking more about this in the private group am enjoying the discussion here too. At first, because it looks so much like an off the shelf magazine, some marketers didn't grasp the concept and weren't sure how to market it. However, as time has gone on we have heard of some really great ways that Warriors are using this and quite a few have said that they will share these with other members. Just putting it on your site as you would any other downloadable pdf. is still a great way to get the mag into the hands of local businesses, especially if you use it with the marketing strategies mentioned above ![]() Gary

Hey Gary, I have only just tripped over this, blimey I am blown away this has to be a really powerful tool to make use look an authority in online marketing. As I am jumping in when the second edition is being published is there any chance of getting a copy of the first about G places/local too. Happy be pay extra to get my hands on it. I think I am going to offer my optins the option of a printed version as well as the pdf, posted or hand delivered to them as many offline businesses many not take the time to read the pdf. for those of us who have Adobe InDesign as well as the whole suite, could you provide the magazine as an InDesign file?

I'm thrilled that you like it and it definitely will make you look like an authority and THE person that they will want to use to market their online business. I am sure that a printed version would work. Solopress in the UK are reasonable and reliable. Leaflet drops and personalised direct mail might be more cost effective and then you get them on your mailing list. I am going to be writing a report (subscribers will get this free! ) showing how to use email sequences effectively to draw attention to the content in the magazine and get the leads and enquiries quicker. Regarding back issues, we are busy creating a site where more recent subscribers can have the option to purchase back issues if they want them, but in the meantime you can email Wendy (address is in the manual) and she will organise this for you. Thanks again Gary
