No hype, no big red bold headlines, no tricks, or overblown promises.
You all need what I have on offer, and I am NOT going to promise you will explode your profits overnight… If you want an online business, you need a website, and it had better be a good one. Your web site is as important as the first room of your office. It's where people will make a judgment about you, and research shows they do it in about 3 seconds. Today's web consumer has high expectations. They don't just want a site that looks professional, but they want it dynamic and frequently updated. They want interactive features like polls and email marketing. But these sophisticated features are too expensive and require too much effort to maintain and use. How is it possible to provide all these at a price that doesn't break the bank? Professional web designers are expensive; you can expect to pay $1000-$3000 for a simple site.
My name is Barrie North, and I have been creating websites for clients since 2005, over 300 of them, including colleges, major cities and large corporations. I have helped many small businesses and entrepreneurs start their online business. In 2005 I started blogging, and my site is now the most read blog about Joomla. In 2006 I co-founded a second company and provided high quality templates to hundreds of thousands of websites. In 2008 I I know Joomla, and I know what it takes to create a successful online business. It’s not a great business plan or idea. It’s not a website WSO with this feature or that feature. It’s not even a list of thousands of names. Its just 4 letters….. H-E-L-P I have spoken with many people about their experiences about Joomla and about how great it is for their website, but almost every single person says they struggled to create their own site.
They all use Joomla, but the difference is HOW the site is built, set up and configured. Not only that, Joomla versions change quickly, and keeping everything updated is hard. Over the years I have seen people try to use Joomla to create a site, but it was too complex and there was no reliable help. I want to change that, so in June I launched a new service called Simplweb to help people be successful building Joomla powered websites. It provides rock solid hosting, automagic upgrades of Joomla and a place they could go to ask questions for help. If you want a magic wand that will make money, this WSO is not for you. If you have the knowledge and time to install and set up Joomla yourself and keep it running, this WSO is not for you. If you want to create Joomla sites in seconds and have an expert team at your back when you need help, and want a solid foundation for your business, then this WSO IS for you. What do you get?
Yes! We have a month free trial so you can sign up risk free. But, this offer is limited to the first 100 Warriors subscribed as charter members, first come, first served! Simplweb can be the foundation for your online business, and the expert help that makes it successful. OK… so I used one bold red headline

You sales page reads...
"A new site at YOURSITE.simplwebsite.com cannot be found by search engines. It will only be found once you link to it from another site. Once you have a domain, all traffic/visitors will see it in their URL/browser bar..." So you're saying that we will have a subdomain with a masked url forwarding to our site, right? Won't this be harmful for getting decent search engine listings? |

We actually use a more sophisticated redirect that avoids this issue.
When you are ready to go live, you set up a CNAME record and then we enter your domain into our DNS server. This makes it a completely transparent process. You can confirm this with this tool HTTP Status Codes Checker ~ Server Header Response Code Checking Tool Enter in one of our customers (Dojo News - Home) |

Nice looking WSO!
I was hoping you could inform me of a couple of things. I'm newish. 1) This sounds like a good short cut to getting a site up. But... I usually find that shortcuts mean giving up on something and drawbacks. Please let me know of the drawbacks of not doing it yourself. I like what I see but want to know exactly what things (seo stuff especially) I would be forsaking by not completely doing things myself. What can't I do with Joomla and simpleweb? 2) I'm using BeBiz with Derek Gehl which seems great for market research and keyword research but the site templates and design.... well I know you probably only put up the really good examples on your site. But they look great! Can I do that? I would appreciate a non biased comparison if possible. Please take another look at my site. I want something that is not hypey, that is tasteful, professional and let's the sales copy do most of the work. That's it maybe for now.... Phil |

Hi Phil,
Thanks for posting! 1. A short cut is exactly what Simplweb is, but there is a drawback. You'll often see "Joomla instant sites" for sale and they have loads of extensions in it. These are things that extend Joomla's features, like a forum. Our goal is to make a rock solid Joomla package, so we are only putting in stuff that is stable, secure and that we have written educaitonal materials for. Over time we will add more and more, but to start, Simplweb does not have "everything and the kitchen sink". 2. Actually, the examples are pretty average. We have quality templates and some good eye candy widgets. The restaurant example (Welcome to Stellas) was done by two owners who had no website experience! Hope this helps... |

I actually went throught Simpleweb and I must say that it's quite easy and intuitive to use.
The learning materials are very good and explain everything in great detail. Barrie has indeed said everything in his WSO. If you are an experieced web designer then it's maybe not for you but if you know litte or nothing about building a website and more with Joomla then you will definitely be satisfied and I have actually tried other website builders (like site rubix, profitmatic...) in the past so I guess I can judge about it. I hope this could help. This is my 2 cents. Houcem |

Thanks for the review Houcem!
Its worth noting that we have loads of educational material available as a Simplweb subscriber. Its almost a how to site for Joomla too! We are adding more on a daily basis. |

OK. Seems like most of my questions have been answered. I'm going to take a closer look. Any other reviews or testimonials from newbies especially would be good.

Hi David,
Just sent your U/P Our support team is email based, so this forum is a little outside the system.... You should have got a second email from a different mail server detailing how to contact our support. |

I "think" my questions have been answered.
You "do" limit/control what extensions/widgets/plugins (whatever they're all called for Joomla) we can use... is this correct? |

Hi,
Yes, that is correct. We are adding these over time as we determine that they are stable enough. Already we have email newsletters, advanced editor and a gallery extension/feature. |
