What about your own stats? Surely, you've tested this yourself? What kind of CTR have you reported in testing and versus regular banners?

Looks like a great plugin, guys. It's similar to another plugin I saw recently where you could add a video but I just noticed the same issue with this plugin that I had with the other plugin.

On the demo site with the video banner, once you 'play' the video, if you click to close the banner, the video keeps playing and when the banner is tucked away, the audio is still there.

Any plans to link up the "X" close window link with automatically stopping the video or must the visitor STOP the video, then CLOSE the banner?

Any option to autoplay the video upon banner drop/pop?

Yeah this is as you see it but so far your not the only one asking about this we have discusses it and are looking to add the audio option the next update.

Auto play, is not something which comes from the plugin but this is something configurable within the code of the video.

You have full control over the size of the banner slide out so this would not be an issue. Simply make the video smaller, or make the slide out come from the left or right and you'll be ok. For mobile best would be to embed a YouTube video and the user can play full screen on there mobile with a click.

I don't want people to bounce immediately they see an ad flying in but for those who are already engrossed in my articles, I would like to alert them after 30 seconds. If they don't like the ad, they can always "X" and keep reading.

This way my bounce rate won't skyrocket with the plugin. Can a time delay be configured like this?

Yes, 100% you can set each banner to slide out after any amount of time.

There is also an option where you can set it to slide out only once on the first visit so when the user moves to another page it will not slide out again.

Only one big problem: Your ads don't scroll up or down, so when I look at your demo site with a couple of those fly-out ads for opt-in, I can't see half of the opt-in form. Not good.

But I just saw another demo where there is a scrollbar for the ad. Is this available as an option for the opt-in form?

How much is the OTO to get the opt-in form function?

Decent plugin overall.

Yes, with the oto upgrade you can add an optin form to the left, right or top slide down. You can basically add anything you want. If you wanted the scroll bars to appear, simply make the ad / form / video larger then the slide out frame.

It's very basic. For example, if I've a basic squeeze page with a headline, images and optin form.

I would View Page Source > Copy / Paste > Click Update.

Now I've a great looking slide down squeeze anytime someone visits my blog.

1 - A good product but you have to fight with the parameters for the width / height to be greater than the size of the banners backgrounds for perfect frame.

2 - If you install two plugins at once, the banners are not displayed at all and it is regrettable in this case you need to disable one of the two plugins or choose concequence.

3 - The support talking about : I still waiting for responses from more than 48 hours - efforts Mr. seller!

The oto feature allows you to insert HTML. So it will work with anything you want. Optin forms, videos, you could slide out a complete webpage if you wished.

When the plugin is activated, a blank tab appears at the top of the site. I don't even want to use the top banner and yet this tab is always there. Can this be removed?

I have set up a left banner but it does not automatically slide in. Instead, the visitor has to hover over the tab to cause it to slide in (not a bad behaviour but not what I was expecting). There is also no "X" to click on. Have tested this in both Firefox and Chrome. Why is it not sliding in automatically and where is the "X"? It's almost like I have a different plugin to that described??

Hi, its a good question and I would say it is against Google's TOS. I've not used adwords in a long time or reviewed there TOS but anything which pops out to encourage people to click on an advertisement was and I presume still is against there TOS. I would not like anyone's Adwords accounts to be shut down because of this plugin so my advise is do not use for adwords.

Hi Kevin,

I got the X and the delay to occur, I guess I forgot to click the check-box. It seems you must instigate a delay (even if its just 1 millisecond) in order for the slideout to be automatic and to feature an "X".

However, the top banner still remains no matter what. Whether with the default details that exist on activation of the plugin (either before or after entering email license information) and even after erasing them completely.

I would submit a support request but I'm sure this affects everyone and not just me. More of a bug, in my opinion.

Try it yourself and see.

edit: this is what the top of the site looks like without any banner. I am using the default 2012 WP theme. My guess is that this is what happens to anyone not explicitly specifying a top banner.

Do you mean to put Adsense ads sliding in? I think that's a bad idea.

Do you mean to use regular banners alongside Adsense? I think you need to check the TOS. Unless Adsense specifically doesn't like popups then I don't see why there'd be a problem.

But, ultimately, you can't expect the author to rule on Adsense suitability. You must do your own due diligence on that.

99% of hosting companies will have ioncude installed. Your option is contact your hosting company and ask them to install. Should not be an issue. You'll need this for many other plugins and scripts. If you have any other issues please visit Support Desk | Online IM Support

OK let me add some more feedback. I do believe there is a bug with not specifying a top banner that the tab will still show and your banner frame will be minimum size and empty, per my screenshot.

However, I decided to add a top banner anyway and, you know what? It's a damn good idea anyway!

Why? Not because of the slideout or the tab and trying to get the attention of the viewer that way.

BUT....

When a visitor starts to scroll, instead of a top banner quickly disappearing as we are all used to, it instead remains there, floating. Something fixed while the background moves is SURE to attract eyeballs. PLUS, a floating top banner it is unobtrusive! They won't see it as annoying!

So I've decided to slide in the top banner after a short delay (say 3 seconds, you never know if the slide will still get attention) and then set the other banners to only come in after 30 seconds, so as not to piss off my viewers.

Pretty nice plugin. Now the devil is in the detail, lets see how many clicks and therefore $ it brings in.

Can I have it so it does not fly out... but rather just inform user via the tab message "Mouse Over For FREE Offer". That way I don't distract user from main sales letter but let them know there is a free offer.
