You can clone unlimited sites with the 5 license version. But it is site to site cloning, not site to 100 sites.

The software will set up the database for you if you are using cPanel, if you are not using cPanel then you have to enter your database info in first.

You can enter each site into the site manager then once they are all added and saved it will go to each one and do what it needs to.

You enter the admin login info for each site that you set up with the program. Then when you go to install a new plugin or update site (or back it up or cline it or whatever), WPMC already knows how to log into the site.

The reason we do not put the unlimited version on the front end of the thread for $77 is that we feel that people would miss out, as some users have less than 5 sites so may not want the unlimited site version so we offer the 5 site for $27 so they still have the chance to use it too.

Guys, all I got to say is that Jane is an unbelievable developer. What you have right here is utter genius. Come on, where else have you seen or heard of such a software that can perform various wordpress tasks such as update, backup and clone in a single package? And make it so damn easy?

Simply put, this is a unique gem right here. All Wordpress webmasters who have more than a few sites would immensely benefit from this. Clone your wordpress site to another domain? Just like that? I mean, seriously, come on - it just doesn't get any simpler. No longer do you have to login your cPanel, then enter phpmyadmin to export your mysql db, then having to backup your posts and images from within wordpress, then uploading and dumping on to your new domain - and then having to deal with loads of broken links, etc...

And that's just the beginning. How about never having to worry that your WP might one day get corrupt? Choose from an array of cloud hosting options. And so much more. An all-in-one WP kit like this just doesn't exist. Until now.

This is such a sophisticated and inspired piece of software that it deserves a price tag many time more than what is being offered here today.

It's literally a steal. Just don't get caught.

Does the cloning function make all the needed changes when going from one domain to another? Also, does it work cross server and all - almost every clone program I know will inevitably have problems with some servers (it's not 100% compatible everywhere) and all so I'm assuming yours also?

Does it backup just the database or the whole thing - folders, etc.?

Has this product been tested extensively? I have seen so many products like this and I know this is not an easy program to make by the amount of problems I see for other such products (the cloning/backup function I mean).

Lastly, if I have dozens of sites and I back them up then something happens to all of them and I need to restore from backup all the sites. Can I just spend some minutes doing some configuration then get the program to restore say 50 sites automatically while I go away? (That is, I won't have to restore each one individually)?

Hi,

The reason there is problems with backup / cloning plugins for wordpress is that they use functions on the servers that alot of shared hosting providers lock down. My software does check if your server is compatible and we have used it on lots of servers, but the simple answer is, if you do not have the right server setup then it will not work. It works nice from server to server also, we have used the cloning many times. At the moment the restore procedure for the backup (which is a totally different thing to the cloner) is manual and the reason for that is most the backup locations are cloud.

The cloner does backup the database and folders, the whole site and then clones it to a new domain live. so when you goto it, it looks the same as the first site just with a different domain name.

Makes for a much better investment than ManageWP which I'm using now... But I'll wait for a Mac version (virtual machines are just too slow to keep open). Kudos for putting out an otherwise (for me personally) great product though :-)

I will second this question about cloning and transferring to other hosting service or different servers at the same hosting service. I had the latest wordpress twin for this purpose but it had encounter some problems on even the popular hosting company like hostgator, bluehost, ...etc when some of my wordpress site got a little too big (to a certain size of posts). So I can only use the cloning function for setting up new sites and backing up smaller sites mostly. So for me, it is very important to know be very SPECIFIC what the cloning function of this plug-in can do or CANNOT do before I will invest in 27+ 37 (or more because I have more than 10 sites).

I think your above answer was meant to address my last point. So when you mean manual, does that mean you have to log in to each site manually and do the restore, or can you do it all in the program (without logging into each WP individually)? Thanks.

This is a feature rich application that will easily reduce your installation and cloning time of your Wordpress sites. Backup Buddy cost 5 times this much and will not auto install to the destination site.

This is a no brainer! Grab it before Jane realizes what she has and raises the price!

Its all down to what is enabled in your server config or not. so i can not tell before hand as i dont know your server.

Sorry I meant you would have to copy the backup files to the server by hand.

We may make a semi-automation for this process but we will have to look into what we can do.
