I bought this product couple days ago. Before, I didn't know how I can use this mindmap to pick up some clients. After I watched your how to use the mindmap video and your live case study webinar, now I got all sorts of idea brewing in my head! Now I understand the concept of "loss leader" and am planning to read Chris Anderson book that you recommended in the live case study webinar!

By the way, just wondering if there's any other free mindmap software than the FreeMindMap? I downloaded the software but wasn't able to use it to open your mindmap file. I'd like to modify it a bit.

Would you also have list of questions to ask prospective clients i.e. visitors to their sites, what kind of conversion rate they get, average sale per customer that comes to their website? Basically all the basic marketing questions that would help them see how all those can be improved if they use my service

If you're use Free Mind you don't use "Open" you want to use "Import" for this.

1. Click File => New
2. Then click on File => Import => MindManager x5 Map
3. You then select the .mmap file and voila - you have it in the Freemind app!

These are instructions I got from one of Maria's pages so she gets the accolades not me. I hope that solves your problem.

Also everyone- freemind is great for a while 0 once you start making money with consulting, invest in mindjet is my advice - it is graphically more 'pretty' and believe it or not - that matters to clients and getting clients - seriously - perception matters...

check out the book Blink to see what I mean - a great marketing book that lets you be aware of the prospects subconscious and patterned thoughts...

Hey there - the biggest ways to get in touch:

1. Use your "ZONE of Influence" - write down on a pad of paper (now, don't wait, do it now!) at least 10 people you know (friends, family, biz contacts).

Now contact each of them, tell them "you are starting an internet marketing consulting firm and would they happen to know if anyone they know would like to increase their sales online by using the Internet"

Now shut up.

Let them talk - you see - you're 'BROADCASTING TO THE WORLD' what you do....let them help you now.

You will be amazed at the referrals you get now and in the future!

A referral within your 'zone of influence' is the BEST LEAD you can get!

2. Use Craigslist for that - I have taught that in my 14 day challenge and watch for some freebies I'll be giving away soon about that tactic...

3. Go to Google now, enter 'your city' and your niche - e.g Pensacola chiroprator - and see who is paying for PPC and contact them! They've already raised their hand and said

Yes - I want to be on page one of Google and they are paying for it!

These are great leads!

4. Same as 3 above but now look at the poor schmucks on page 2/3/4/5 etc. of google for that search term and call them!

5. Too scared to call? - heck - hire a sales rep pay him/her on commission only - or hire a phone appt. setter for you...

There are so many ways to get a client in the local business world...these are just a few...

the thing is

you just need to go out there and "Just Do It"

Walk into your local business merchants, and ask them:

"what are you doing now to promote your business online"

- and shut up - let them talk - the most powerful thing for you to do is understand their needs and see how the mindmap can benefit them...

- "he who asks the questions is in control of the conversation"

Now - also listen to the exclusive interview in the download of the Offline Money Mindmap where I interview one of my star students on how she gets clients, and how she presents the mindmap - very powerful stuff!
