It's a powerful little piece of software that autoblocks the bots.

You upload it to your site and if any of the keyword stealing bots come to your site to either scrape your pages for keywords or check if it's active (as they usually check adwords first and ensure the target sites are active) it blocks them (sends them a forbidden page rather than your website) and they won't put your site in their database.

This program look interesting and I got the following few questions:

1) Does it works by blocking all those spiders that you suspected to be from those ads spy or you block all spiders and only let those from search engine comes in?

2) I do not know exactly how those adword spying works but from what i know, they do not even need to enter your site to know which are the profitable keywords.

What they seem to do is they will check how many times and how long is your ads appeared in Google search based on the a huge list of keywords for a given niche. They just based on the displayed/designated URL to identify is it from the same owner. And of course, the longer period your ads stay in google, which means this keyword is a profitable one and they will just duplicate it.

My question is does your script counter this kind of situation?

Hi Wizlor,

PPC Protector protects from known bots and blocks those sites from accessing your site and the information on your site.

Most of the bots use a combination of scanning adwords and also your website for keywords for their database (as otherwise how would they get new, never seen before keywords?), and I've found they go to adwords, go through the ad to check out the site behind it and find they cannot access your site, they often don't include it in their databases (as it's an invalid site).

Most people using PPC will use landing pages or a redirect to forward visitors to the product site rather than direct linking. Yet if you go to keycompete.com and type in a clickbank product with high gravity it will often come up with thousands of keywords, how does it do this?

It's because most of the bots will go through the ad to the landing page, then through the landing page to the primary website, and add the keyword to the database under the domain name of the primary website.

If you have PPC Protector on your landing page they cannot access it, thus have no idea what you are selling or what your keyword is related to and even if they do scrape your keyword from adwords (despite them not being able to access the website) it will be hard for others to find it because it won't appear if they search for any specific products website address.

IE:

One major clickbank product is http://www.natural-cure-for-yeast-infection . com lets say you have a landing page at http://www.cureyeastinfectionnow . com and it has a longtail keyword "yeast infection cure in 12 hours" which is working really well.

If keycompete finds your ad for "yeast infection cure in 12 hours" it will go through to your landing page at http://www.cureyeastinfectionnow . com.

Without PPC Protector it will then go from that page to http://www.natural-cure-for-yeast-infection . com, realize you are advertising that page and add your awesome long tail keyword to the database for that site, so that whenever anyone searches for http://www.natural-cure-for-yeast-infection . com in key compete they see your keyword.

With PPC Protector the bot tries to go through to your landing page and can't, so it either doesn't do anything with the keyword (in the majority of cases) or adds your keyword to the database for the site http://www.cureyeastinfectionnow . com (which no one searches for as no one knows about your landing page).

With PPC Protector it protects against the bots indexing your page or finding more keywords from your site contents.

Good question - glad you brought it up...

PPC Protector blocks the bots by IP Address so they can't even connect to the site, thus they don't even get to send their user agent information, they are completely blocked

I'm glad blocking bots is child's play for you - however it isn't child's play for everyone, nor is scraping google.

I'm sure there are things you aren't able to do that are child's play to others, doesn't mean you cant use help in those areas.

It's nice to keep in mind that there are internet marketers in every step and stage of the process, and all with differing skill levels - I think it would be rude to ignore the fact that to some people blocking bots is not child's play - therefore PPC Protector is very necessary for a lot of people.
