This is an extremely competitive Niche, and Just looking at CPC Keyword competiton for "Website Builder" and associated phrases, and cpc rates are anywhere between $2.5 and $8, and no idea how many actually convert ?

The cost of acquisition varies a lot for each clients. The cpc you have described is for the most obvious keywords, most expensive target audience of U.S./U.K. and for the also the search network, all this had added up your ppc cost. The real success of ppc conversion doesnt lies here, unless youre a very advanced ppc user, its targeting the related, not the most obvious keywords, targeting 150countries available in GA and targeting display network too which can lower the ppc charges to 0.10 to 0.30 and thats when you can see the conversion ratio and profit making, plus ppc is not the only way.
There are free methods also available to acquire clients and hence they can be easily used, reducing the cost of acquiring clients almost negligible.
