Hi, and thanks for your interest. I can honestly say this is for anyone who would like to get into Adwords content network/placement targeting from beginners to advanced. I run through exactly how to setup a campaign and exactly how I made my money.
There are terms I am using that may be a bit new if you are totally fresh to Adwords but these should still be understandable. I had a friend read through the manual who knew nothing about adwords or internet marketing and it was comprehensible to him so I think it would be to you. The videos go through how I setup everything from scratch as well.

Hi, and thanks for your interest. This is about advertising with adwords using image ads on the content network/placement network.

It can be used to drive traffic to CPA offers or anything at all. But yes, the main way it is discussed here is driving traffic to CPA offers.

With most CPA offers they give you an affiliate url that is different from the destination url.

I have answered this in previous posts so I have cut and pasted the parts that relate to this question. CPA networks give you an affiliate link that ends up on a destination page on a domain. As long as that domain is in the display URL of the ad you are OK.

So if your display URL is www.myhomepageofstuff.com (this is what the user will see on the ad)

Then when the user clicks your ad they must end up somewhere on the domain myhomepageofstuff.com as the final destination.

The destination URL can be different. For example, it could be http://mytrackingserver.com or it could be the cpa network affiliate url (i.e. http://linkshares.tracking.com?sub-aff32&e=2333). As long as it redirects to the final domain in the display URL is is OK.

Then user clicks that the ad with the display URL www.myhomepageofstuff.com they are sent through to http://mytrackingserver.com (behind the scenes the user does not even know that), and then they finally end up on www.myhomepageofstuff.com

The below example is the right way:

user clicks on ad-->>>ad (display url says www.myhomepageofstuff.com)-->>>they are behind the scenes sent through http://mytrackingserver.com -->> this redirects them to www.myhomepageofstuff.com where they end up


The below example is the wrong way:

user clicks on ad-->>> ad (display url says www.myhomepageofstuff.com)-->>> they are then sent to www.myhomepageofstuff.com and www.myhomepageofstuff.com redirects the user to bigmoney.com where they end up.

I haven't got this but I'm always up for finding a new tip.

To my knowledge and experience so far direct linking isn't necessarily out.

So many people are CONSTANTLY confusing direct linking with having to send people to the same *domain* as is in the display url.

Say you use a Clickbank hop link that link will redirect to the merchant's site. If your display url is the same as the site you are following Google's rule.

Your destination url can be whatever the heck you want it to be as long as the user ends up at the display URL. How do you think us PPCers track out keywords? Anyways Brian, are you able to directlink email/zips nowadays? I can never seem to get them working via direct-linking.

I purchased your WSO recently and I think it's crazily underpriced.

I'm trying to set up things (ie do stuff and not just read about it). It's frustrating at times because Google does crazy stuff like swoop me with the impressions phantom but that's my/Google's fault.

I would like to give my review after read the two books (I bought the advance course).

Those ebooks are awesome. I think it's one of the best Adwords Content Network course I ever purchased.
I get a lot new things about Adwords Content Network and answered my questions why I failed (got bad ROI). He explains so clear and easy to follow even I'm newbie in Adwords.

I learn how content network work, how to organize ad group theme using free Google tool, how to bid effectively (as he used in his campaign), Placement targeting and so on. What I love from the ebook is he used new interface of Google Keyword Tool and Google Adwords so I can easily follow the guidance.

The best part, in my opinion is I can see his real website, CPA offer and its campaign. It gave me many ideas how will I promote my CPA offers and I confident sure it will work as expected. He also shows what method he used to create a product in detail according what he have done.

I highly recommend these courses.
