hmm..not going to jump in the boat just yet, I ran the converter through two of my articles that were at ezine, and both of them in my opinion did not sound good. They looked good but did not sound good. The voices were overlapping and sounded robotic, which I know that they are, they are being read by a voice processor.

It's great idea just don't think that the technology is there yet. However, if the full blow version is better than version I used, then I could see as a great asset.

what you tried is the 1-click converter in which all the reading is done by a human like voice from our text to speech engine. Some members like it a lot (as you can see in some recent warrior comments above), and some may not. I guess finally it's a matter of choice. In the demo the voices are picked by random but inside the full editor, your business account comes with 12 different voices and accents to choose from. Soon it will be increased to 50 such voices!

And in case you still don't find that computer generated voices is your thing, you can always use the full editor to edit the video and add your own voice-over by recording yourself on the spot (screenshot attached). There is also an option to upload the same too.

If you want to distribute your video to your wordpress blog all you need to do is to select 'Add to Web/MySpace' option from publish screen. You don't even need to download your video to computer. The video will playback on your wordpress blog directly from our web server.
The best part about this is that you don't even need to spend any download credit for this.

Thanks for the kind comments on the app. Your feedback is definitely valuable to us and can definitely help create a pricing model that is both profitable to us and viable to you. Here are some suggestions that I wanted to run by the Warrior and get some input.

I have been thinking of two more viable pricing models. The first is a $10 / month pricing package for 10 online videos. There is a difference between online and download-able videos. In this package you will be able to distribute your video to blogs, websites, social sites like Facebook, Myspace and other places that support pasting HTML. Turning online videos to downloadable videos requires very powerful servers and so there won't be support for downloading videos to the hard disk or video sharing sites in this model.

The other option is to charge members $3 per video download in addition to a recurring $10 monthly fee. For distribution to blogs, etc there will be no cost but for downloading a video to hard disk or Youtube you will need to pay $3 per video. This way you can only pay what you need.

The last model is a fully outsourced model. I hire more support guys. All you need to do is send us the text article and then leave the rest to us. We will do all the work, turn the article to a video, find the pictures, make tweaks and after your approval also distribute this video to 16+ video sharing websites for you. For that we can charge $5 per video download (in addition to a $10 monthly membership fee). But this way you won't have to lift a finger.

These are just ideas on top of my head. I have not discussed feasibility of either with my partner or the tech so I cannot promise anything but I think it is definitely doable with some tweaking.

So, how does this sound?

I really appreciate you giving this some thought.

Having looked at your ideas I can see the merit in them, however they all have some form of restriction as to use i.e non download, download but on a per video basis with recurring monthly fee, pay and outsource.

I personally was looking for something that offered exactly as is available at the moment , with the power pack and submissions to youtube etc but on a lesser scale. ie say 10 -20 videos per month at a subscription price you think is fair and sustainable for your business.

Hi Fern, Actually with this WSO you get a total of 8 voices (4 Male and 4 female) with your Power account and 12 voices (6 Male and 6 Female) with your Business account.

We are also going to introduce an option which will allow you to purchase about 30-40 additional voices for you account very shortly. These voices will cover many different accents.

When you signup to AVR you get 50 Video Conversion credits for a Power Account and 100 Video Conversion Credits with a Business Account.

Additionally we offer you 125 bonus Video distribution credits(at absolutely no charge) through our partner site Video Submit Robot(VSR).

Every time you download your video as an AVI or SWF to your hard disk, you need 1 Video Conversion credit in your AVR account.

We need API mainly because our knowledgebase content can change quite often and we need to keep videos up to date.

My idea is, that your API will support any kind of tags, which will any robot read from our page and than generate video. On our site we will insert just any simple javascript, which will load video from your page.

Example:

<text>..... this is text for voice ... </text>
</page1>
... multiple pages could be inserted into one video
page tag can support some attributes like voice type and so on

You can login to your Video Submit Robot account from Member login - Video Submit Robot

You can use your AVR username and password to login and check your video submission details in VSR. furthermore, to make it easier for you to track video progress, we have added a button at the last screen of video submission which will directly take you to your VSR member's area.

As for multiple submission profiles, this feature is currently under development and we hope to bring it live very soon.

If you are submitting your Video through Video Submit Robot (VSR) you will not need to download it to your computer first. You can directly pass it to our Video Submission software(VSR). We deduct article credits only when you download a video. No article credits are deducted if you want to distribute your video through VSR.

I have to say that this WSO really kicks ass. I just joined and was expecting a headache from learning the whole process, but was pleasantly surprised when I was pretty much taken by the hand through the whole process, all the way to the multiple uploading. Very nicely done Navneet.

I've tried out the on line demos for a couple of hours now and this could be a very useful service for me. I'm glad that I found it.

I did not sign up for the free trial but went for the paid version (S-3FS4892699731820D). The login information sent me does not however, allow me to log in. I get an "invalid username or password" message.

The username is correct, so perhaps the password has been corrupted.

Perhaps you could look into it please.

Question:

I am still confused. So if my target is to produce vidoes for upload to youtbue, etc. (not to my hard disk) then that would be unlimited. I did not understand the point about your html link....

Also if I produce with your product, but want to use something like tubemogul or traffic gayser, how would that work (as far as credits...)
