The beginning of last year ( Jan 2012) I just got started in Internet Marketing and in (March 2012) Chris released the Hook Pigeon 7-Day Training and I bought it with the optional upgrades.

I was Very excited to learn about this strategy and implement it, plus starting out Fresh and Brand new as an Internet Marketing Newbie this would be a great way to get traffic,make some sales, and not rely on Google as I was learning more and more what it would take to rank a site then

So I was Totally Stoked!!

From what I learned in the training the Hook Pigeon Method was awesome and still probably is and still effective today

Though I haven't ever got to implement it

Reason is because I couldn't watch all the videos as some of them you had to download and watch on VLC player and for some reason I could never get VLC player to work on my computer.

The other videos of his training I did get to watch and they were Great!!

I did contact support several times about this issue and they always did get back with me trying to help and get this figured out on why the videos I had to download weren't playing??

Still till this day I don't know why they did that?!

Why did you guys make the videos like that Chris?

Not upset or mad or anything, but just curious as I was a paying customer


So from my experience I have nothing bad to say about Chris and I never even heard of him before that day last year because as I said I just started my I.M. journey the beginning of last year and was really excited to learn about this Hook Pigeon method

The only thing I was disappointed in the whole Hook Pigeon Training was that the videos I couldn't watch I had to download and they for some unknown reason made it this way and did not make watching all the videos the same and just simply watch them in the members area, which was way more simpler and easier then having to download them and watch them on a media player that didn't work on my computer.

So I felt overall I wasted some money on this, but I also understood it wasn't that much money I spent on it and the upgrades and that this would whole Internet Marketing business like anything you're learning for the 1st time will take some time and sometimes you're going to lose money as well.

Guess it's all part of the game.

Getting the videos in a format that worked on everyone's computer was a little tricky to figure out, but I have since updated them, so if you go back into the members area you can now watch them in your browser, and also download the videos for playback on most devices.

On 2nd thought I had to revise my review:

First of all I think this wso is very thin. It's ostensibly about what is working in SEO or PTO (People and Traffic Optimization). I don't know if Mr. Munch made the term up or if it's a commonly used term but that's what it stands for.

The basic WSO is a 16 page pdf which has one blank page and one page that is the title page so that leaves 14 pages. Most of that 14 pages is a kind of "report" on what is happening in terms of how SEO is changing as it pertains to Google, that is, Google is looking at different things than they used to in terms of how to rank your site. I will not give any details as giving even a few details seems to lead to getting punished here.

The OTO is Ross Goldberg's Traffic Magnet - the same as the OTO on Mr. Munch's last WSO. Plus this OTO is combined with a step by step blueprint on how best to use Traffic Magnet and an SEO rank finder software and a Traffic Magnet Top 10 list of ways to to customize it for best results.

The price earlier today was $95 for a 5 computer usage of the Traffic Magnet software plus bonuses as above, or $67 for single computer installation plus bonuses.

If you get the software without the bonuses you pay $61 for the 5 computer installation and $47 for single computer usage. If you don't outsource and can get by with just one computer usage then the $47 is a great deal imho.

I have not seen the bonuses that come with it but the Traffic Magnet software by itself is worth buying if you want a way to easily manage submitting articles, videos etc from your desktop in a more efficient way than logging in to each place and submitting them manually one by one. It makes the process quicker/ easier but it's not a bot. Bots are no longer valid imho. Bots are going to get your site punished by Google imho.

It has some other cool features as well and is worth the price of the WSO to have the opportunity to buy the Traffic Magnet in my opinion, and since Ross uses the tool himself you don't have to worry about it not being updated I don't think, and you get lifetime updates free.

All in all the info given in the WSO is a waste of time.

I hated the sales funnel which requires you to go through 1 upsell, one downsell and then another offer, and then still having to give your email address in order to download the pdf.

All in all a waste of money.

This was a decent read, I do a lot of social engagement on my sites outside of IM especially this nails it down even further. For me I knew a lot of this already since SEO is my bread and butter (full time) for 5 years now. But for those that need a push in the right direction this a good buy.

It will save tons of time and aggravation because I do see the SEO going this way.

The OTO is decent, just be smart on how you use it and listen to what they teach I just got the software because it consolidates what I already do for the most part.

Since I don't outsource my link building any more I do it all in house this works for me, hopefully it will be supported for a long time, not like fly by night wso's.

So thank you for that it will save me time.

Bottom line its a NO fluff straight to the point report.

Longer Review: Hey, I knew the pitch here had "Check it out, SUCKER!" written all over it, but I didn't expect it to be this blatant. If you're anything but the most eager and naive beginner in the world, this WSO is a complete insult.

Basically: Some authority building "stats", but no proof of actual results. If you have ever bought any of Chris Munch's stuff before, you've pretty much read this. I read this while sitting on the toilet, for God's sake, and if I had printed it out on paper, I would have flushed it.

Be AWARE: It doesn't look like there's a refund on this "product". I put product in quotes because it looks like Munch put this together in about 5 minutes while having his morning coffee.

My personal experience with DTA over the past 6 - 8 months has been very poor. It was performing in decent form prior to that. I have since canceled my agreement and no longer use DTA. Based on all the changes with Google, DTA goes against everything that is happening in regards to high quality content that is now basically required. They days of getting ranked with just some social media related links is way gone.

On another subject but related, I'm also finding that so far all of the outsourced VA's are still stuck in the past regarding SEO and have not for the most part embraced the new regime of what is required to rank a page, so be aware of this fact and choose wisely and expect that you will need to re-train them for the most part......that is if you even really understand what is required now, which I find that most have not invested the time or research to fully comprehend.

On a more positive note, I have found the YT videos continue to rank well, at least in comparison to webpages. Video remains a big traffic driver and we would all do well to make video a major part of our overall marketing efforts. That said, more focus is being put on video content quality so this should be a part of your process, and thankfully can be outsourced pretty easily to fiverr or elsewhere. A good VA that can produce high quality video can be a tremendous asset.

And just to clarify the 15 million visitors from Google is to my own web properties - I have previously worked with a client pulling in millions of visitors per month like yourself, but I no longer take clients as I am busy with my own projects and love the freedom of being in control.

And yes I did not include proof of results as this is more of an encompassing approach discussing how things are changing, and not a step by step method which I can specifically tag results to.

Q: What Does P.T.O stand for?

A: It is covered in the report. It is the new direction that SEO is going in, while traditional SEO dies a painful death. The acronym itself is really not important, it is the paradigm shift in methods that now work for getting traffic and ranking in Google. The change in approach to traffic and Google IS what is important. If you don't apply the new way of ranking in Google and getting traffic you will be left behind.

Okay, guys. This is getting ridiculous.

There are rules in this section, and they're pretty clear. Arguing about the sales process, including the rants about the presence or number of "OTOs," is not allowed. If you do that, your post(s) will get deleted.

A few people are in here going off on rants about products they haven't bought. That is also pretty clearly not allowed, per the posted rules.

Arguing about deleted posts, or re-posting deleted comments, is not allowed anywhere in the forum.

None of these rules are new. If you believe that enforcing the posted rules is a sign of some sort of conspiracy, you are welcome to that opinion. Or, you might ask somewhere outside a WSO thread for an explanation of why the rules exist. They really do make sense.

If a seller doesn't answer your question(s), well... they aren't required to, are they? Just as you are not required to buy their products if they choose to ignore your questions.

Paid sales threads are for questions and comments about the products being offered. They are not the place for you to air your feelings about one time offers, or a seller's pricing decisions. That's what the discussion areas are for.

A few people seem to think that was meant to shut down legitimate comments. Don't make that mistake, folks.

For instance, 2 people reported the comment from EdwardsEZPC, claiming it was a rant about OTOs. Another person gave her/him an infraction for it, which I have deleted.

Assuming EdwardsEZPC actually bought the product, that was a comment on the content of the thing. Not an argument about OTOs. As such, it is well within the rules for comments from paying customers.

Don't waste our time reporting legitimate posts, unless you want us to start ignoring your reports entirely.

I'm positive it isn't a legitimate post, despite what you just said.

He expressed his opinion of a product he appears to have bought.

That is a legitimate comment. If he feels the only purpose of the product is to upsell, how is that NOT an opinion on the product? It may or may not be accurate, but it's what he thinks, and that's not for you or I to decide for him.

I'm sure Chris will thank you for prolonging the discussion, further highlighting the negative comment, and derailing his thread in a different direction...

I have bought this and have to say I recommend it to all serious marketers.

However, (also in the interests of balance), I have to say that I concur with the sentiments of philvandermeer's post (#33) and point out that Chris's customer support appears to have some holes in it.

I purchased a high-ticket product ($1,000) promoted by Chris last year. I subsequently had issues with the product which culminated in my being totally unable to access and use the product (a web-based application). My emails and tickets to the products support were totally ignored, so I contacted Chris, as I would have expected him to stand behind the product as it was promoted by him as an affiliate. To be fair he did contact the product developer, but there was still no response, I still had no access the product I'd paid for, and Chris did not seem interested in helping further to resolve the issue or pursue a refund on my behalf from his affiliate partner.

I asked Chris to at least refund his commission on the product in the absence of a full refund from the developer, but I simply never heard back from him or his support staff.

I think Chris is probably probably a victim of his own success and had too many 'more important' issues to deal with at the time - and put this case in the 'too hard basket' ...rather than it being a case of greed or a blatant indifference to his customers, but the consequence for me is that I am still out-of-pocket to the tune of $1000.

I strongly believe that as marketers we ALL have a responsibility to uphold the highest standards of ethics and not shy away from holding our fellow marketers to account.

As an industry, it's time we cleaned up our act and abided by the same ethical standards expected of 'bricks & mortar' business. Otherwise, industry watchdogs and federal authorities will further regulate and make it more and more difficult for all of us to do business on the net.

I have no problem with Chris's own products, and recommend you buy this WSO if you are serious about SEO, but I will be very reluctant to buy any high-ticket products promoted by Chris in future knowing he does not stand behind the products he promotes.

Agreed. I was coming back here to revise my post where I said the WSO was "worth it".....

Not worth it to me, it's just common knowledge stuff--a report of such--that is just like the quoted poster says, a sales pitch to sell software, etc....even one of the revolutionary tips about speeding up your site was put there.,it seems, to include the link to the Munch's software that shows you how fast your site is.

Munch no doubt knows how to make money, but this WSO and the last one makes it clear that giving value does not seem to be a goal, and that the customers that have helped him make his living are not being respected, IMHO

Refund time.
