AA doesn't do it automatically. But when you bring up a submission form in a directory there are buttons you can click that load your clipboard with the title, body, etc.

So you can click, paste, click, paste. Short of automatic, it makes very quick work of submitting an article.

Plus, in the Mac version there is an "auto-fill" option -- when you hit the submission page of the article directory, the edit fields are filled in automatically. What about the Windows version? I'm embarrassed to say I just found a bug and in some cases it stalls halfway through the autofill process and you have to complete with the click/paste method.

Yes, I'll be fixing that right away. =:D

I don't use the tags feature of WP so I don't know. If that make sense I can add it, if tags should be separate from keywords then I'd have to do some retooling, but it sounds like something I should definitely look at.

When using the free Wordtracker tool for keyword research it watches for the captcha and shows it for you to take care of when it pops up. That's the only place I can think of where a captcha would appear.

At this point it deals with Wordpress blogs only (hosted by Wordpress.com or hosted on your own server) and only one at a time. Nothing for social bookmarking at this time, but...

...the version I'm running on my computer auto-tweets to Twitter with a URL when you post something new to your blog. =:) Makes it easy to let your followers know when you've put up a new article.

That version will be out soon - and yes, it will be a free upgrade.

Maureen - That's one I can't answer. If you can speak into Notepad, Wordpad, etc., then I don't see why it wouldn't work in Article Architect.

Hi Jay. Yes tags should be separated from keywords. The best use of tags is to give people alternate ways to find your content with related keywords that are not directly on the blog post.

After the content the format for the tags would be:
[tag]tag1,tag2,tag3...[/tag]

One of my big sites gets around 100,000 uniques per month and much of that is from tag pages. So, it's definitely worth it.

I just tested and Article Architect works well with MacSpeech Dictate. I think it uses the same speech recognition engine as Dragon Dictate on the PC so I can't see why it wouldn't work for you, Maureen.

This program has always been one of my favorites for writing and submitting articles and the new version 2 does so much more than earlier ones, including handle submission of Wordpress blog content. With the new features, it seems like Jay is building it into a whole new type of content creation and management system.

If you are hesitating about buying it all I can say is grab it at this price. If you write any sort of content, AA can help you create it, organise and keep track of it, schedule posting or submission delivery and even repurpose it.

If you are really organised and only do one thing at a time you mightn't need it. But if you are the sort of person who always has a few different projects that you are trying to keep track of I think you'll like it as much as I do.

Update: Just wrote my first article using the software and it was incredible! I am going to be using this all day long. I love that I am able to publish it directly from the software. I still had to go in and put in tags and click on the categories I wanted it in since it put it into uncategorized. Also, the allow pings and allow comments boxes were unchecked. But all this took only seconds to correct so all in all I am extremely pleased with this purchase and know that it will allow me to be more productive.

I haven't even started looking at the all the other stuff yet but am itching to check it all out. But first I think I'll write another article for the directories and see how that goes. Geez, never thought I'd be excited about writing articles, but I am Thanks Jay!

Michael - AA isn't an article submitter, but it helps make that task much easier.

Here's a short video I made for a friend showing off a new feature -- auto-fill forms.

However, as I mentioned above, the Windows version may have a bug but I pounded on it last night and am testing tonight.

But even without the auto-fill it's easy -- in that video you'll see a series of buttons on the left side of the window, Title, Keywords, Summary, etc. If you click one of those buttons, that part of the article is placed on your "clipboard" and then all you have to do is paste it into the field. Click, paste, click, paste. Much faster than doing it all by hand.

Just wanted to drop in and say that I LOVE Article Architect. I use it not only to keep track of the articles I use for submission, but also to keep my site information organized.

Here's a taste of how I use AA:

I create a folder for each website I own and 3 "projects" for each folder.
(1) Site Content (what article goes with what webpage URL + the keywords I'm targeting for each page)
(2) promo content (submission articles, notes about blog comments I've left, etc) (3)important site info (cpanel logins, domain registration details, etc)

I can make notes about exactly what link building efforts I used for which pages on my site. I can even make dated notes about what effects I'm noticing on my site due to my promotional efforts - a website "diary" of sorts.

If I ever decide that a site is not profitable enough to renew the domain again, I have a record of the articles that were on the site so they don't need to go to waste and I don't need to bother with backing up the site just so I can disorganize my computer with one more backup file I don't really need.

This is a very versatile tool.

Other things to like about this software: I like how it speeds up submissions (I use The Best Spinner to create about 10 different versions of an article and import them into AA) and keeps track of submissions. I also love that it can now post to WP blogs. The best is the search feature that works within the article body as well as with tags, title, keywords, etc.

I hope Jay keeps updating this (as he's been doing)!

1. Can I schedule submission, say to 5 one day then 10 the next?

2. How easy is it to import? I've got accounts at most of the directories here: List Of Top 50 Article Directories By Traffic, PageRank and would love to quickly set things up.

3. Does it have a reporting feature (i.e. when an article goes live, plus the link) that I can export to excel?

I've tried several over the past few days (article Submitter pro, article marketing robot) and have yet to be completely happy. Granted I know things change fast, but I kind of like to only spend the cash once. I think that this in tandem with an iSnare membership will be enough. As always I'd love to hear your thoughts!

No, the scheduler allows you to specify X number of hours or days between posts, but it doesn't allow you top specify certain posts on certain days.

Do you mean import into the directories, as in submit an article to them? I have about 10 of the major directories set up, but you can set up any others you like. It does require some kicking through HTML -- you need to "View Source" of the submission page and copy down the names of the fields - title, body, keywords, etc. Stuff like that. Not rocket science, just kind of tedious. But, you only have to do it once per site you want to submit to.

3. Does it have a reporting feature (i.e. when an article goes live, plus the link) that I can export to excel?

Nothing that can export to Excel at this time, although I've given some thought to being able to export the Journal notes -- that's where it records things like when you write an article, submit it to a directory, publish to your blog, etc. You can view those notes, but right now can't export them.

Cyperslock - I'm using AAv3 right now and am just about to offer it to existing customers -- it's in beta but I suspect it will be ready for sale in a week or two.

I said I'd never add a spinner to AA, but changed my mind. That's one of the biggest new features to AA. However, for people who are looking for the be-all and end-all of spinners, this one isn't it. How's that for honesty? Just like AA isn't a submitter but helps you submit articles, I'll never refer to AA as a spinner, but it has spinner technology built-in as part of the features.

One other big change is the ability to open multiple article windows at a time. That's something that's always bugged me (and others), but now it's easier to work on more than one thing at a time, copy/paste from one article to another, etc.

I'll be releasing a list of new features soon, and am working on a spinner video so people can see what it's like.

As far as making sure nothing bad happens to your database of articles, you do have a regular backup system in place, right? Right??? =:) Before upgrading I suggest you go under the File menu and use the "Save a Copy of the Database" option. Just in case.

Also, if you have at least version 2.8 you should look in Prefs -- there's a way to automatically back up your database every hour, day, month, etc. It saves it to an online location so it's safe even if your whole hard drive bursts into flames.
