This is something that anyone who uses Wordpress for a website should have, learn and put into practice.

Bharat has made a great product and shows how to get your Wordpress site as secure as possible. He shows you where to find some free tools and explains how to use them. He gives you the code you need and where to insert it so it helps protect your site from different forms of attack.

I already had a similar product and had been doing most of the things he teaches but there are some things in his product I didn't know about. I'm very glad he came out with this great product. It never hurts to learn new ways to protect an investment in a website.

I'll give this one a 9 out of 10 rating.

Then he discusses various types of hosting and things you will want to consider based upon your hosting environment. The steps you will take to secure your WordPress website will vary depending upon your webhost. Additionally, there are things that your host can (but will they) do to assist you with locking up your WordPress website.

Then Bharat goes into an exhaustive explanation of how to perform a secure installation of your WordPress so that you understand how to do it from the beginning. If you've already installed WordPress, the next sections will explain the things that you need to check and modify so that your existing installations are as secure as if you have installed them securely. One tip that he gives on how to install WordPress is worth the entire price of this WSO. I never install WordPress using any of the scripts (Fantastico, Scriptaculous, or any others) as scripts leave signatures, so I always unzip the WordPress file and upload them individually via FTP. Bharat's method is soooo much faster and doesn't utilize one of the scripts. This alone will save me 30 minutes PLUS on every WordPress website I set up.

Next, Bharat goes through an exhaustive explanation and setup of various important files permissions as well as several .htaccess files that you will need to load and where to load them. When you complete this section, you will have secured your WordPress website better than most people ever dream about.

The next sessions cover users (roles, permissions, etc.) as well as a method to monitor their activities. If you build websites for other people like I do, then being able to track their activities back can sometimes be extremely valuable in determining just what it was that they did to get the website in the mess they've created. Additionally, this information can be useful for fine tuning the access that you give to various users as well as determining when abuses may be occurring.

I am a little over half-way through the videos as I am watching them, making notes, trying everything that Bharat notes (on a new WordPress installation) and monitoring the results. So far, everything that he has noted has behaved EXACTLY as he noted. There have been no surprises and the suggestions have been "spot on". I don't expect my opinion to change as I complete the second half of the course.

Can you learn all this without the course?

Absolutely!! But, why would you want to? Bharat has apparently put a ton of time into researching all of this information and then putting it together in an organized manner. Sure you could come up with this same information, but what is the value of your time. We are all striving for "The Four Hour Work Week" aren't we? Then, why would you want to spend those four hours researching all of this (and doing it over several four hour weeks - probably about 20 of them) when you could spend ONE four hour time period reviewing these videos and then putting the information into action? My time is very valuable. Plus, I bill myself as a "Lazy Marketer" so I don't want to waste any time doing anything that I can get from someone else.

Buying this training is SMART MONEY - any way you look at it. Get this today, study the videos, and put the information into practice. Imagine what ONE compromised WordPress site could cost you - especially if it's one of your money sites or worse a client's website. Then, weigh that against the cost of this course. Plus, with this knowledge, you can add this as a service that you offer to your clients like I provide to mine. Except I paid much, much more for my training a few years back.

Thanks again for an excellent product and the opportunity to review it. If I finish this before the WSO closes, I'll come back with "Part Deux" of my evaluation as well as a link to the article that I write and publish.

My recommendation is, if you have WP sites buy this!

@CTRTheme, I have not read used that product so I am not eligible to comment on how good or bad that product is or if this product is better that that one.

This is a video course that will show you how to lock down different parts of WordPress.

I have mentioned each and every video and what you will learn from that video and why is it important to do according to modules.

Yes, In these videos I will talk about different security plugins and give you my recommendations but the heart of this training course is .htaccess.

@alcbiz, this is a video training course and majority of the security steps will be taken with the help of .htaccess file and that where I think this is better than a plugin because
1. htaccess file won't get outdated.
2. htaccess file is better than using a plugin because that's the first file processed by your web server.

I will also use some plugins from WordPress repository to enhance the security and the plugins that I will use are from well reputed developers who almost always keep their plugins updated.

Keeping up with your WordPress website can be a daunting task. Even more so if you don't know all the ins and outs of maintaining it so others don't crash it for you or worse take it over. Bharat has put together the A-Z of setting up your WordPress site from installation to the latest measures to secure it.

I'm as guilty as most of using the Fatastico 2 click install of my WordPress websites. Of course, since I really have no problem with digging around in the MySql database I go in and change admin to something else. I can imagine those that aren't technical just leave it that way.

The straightforward system that Bharat outlines in his 3rd video in Module one will make you a WordPress installation champ in no time at all. That one video alone is worth the whole investment in his complete WordPress Security System. Of course the rest of the videos just allows you to batten down the hatches and lock out all those Virtual Pirates.

Whether complete newbie or seasoned WordPress Pro you will learn something new or be reminded of something you shouldn't have missed. I give it 2 thumbs up and a 5 star rating for content.

Yes, there was an issue with Paypal because first I decided to make it a $0 trail for 30 days but Paypal wasn't sending notification to because of that so on the last day I had to change it to $1..

I spent a couple of hours going through the warrior forum yesterday researching WordPress Security and was shocked on just how many people had their sites hacked. Thank you so much DJL. I just received a reply from w+ and seems like I will have to contact paypal to get this sorted out.

The issue is because I am using split pay and if I change it to $17 upfront fee then it will resolve it but I don't want to do that so I will get in touch with Paypal in the morning and try to get this sorted out asap.

People who are on apache will get the most out of this training course because a lot of security techniques I will show in this course will be using htaccess file which is available only in apache.

There will be some plugins that anyone can use regardless of the hosting envt. and the techniques that I will use to secure the site using htaccess file are also possible in other servers such as NginX but if you are not a technical person it wouldn't be easy to figure out because there is no good documentation and tutorials available on the web for other servers.

So I wouldn't recommend it to someone who is not on Apache if he is not a technical guy.

On top of this, when I asked him about the cost of this WSO, and if I am not mistaken it is around 17$. For me, the knowledge you acquire, hassle you avoid and cost savings will be benefited more than 100 times.

All I can say to you is, do not let this course go by. Buy this, study this and put this in to practice and nothing should go wrong. I will never recommend something if it is not good. I'd like to classify myself as someone who knows what they're doing when it comes to WP security, doing manual install instead of the lazy non-secure fantasico route, creating strong database names, passwords, changing table prefix's, making sure admin ISNT the WP username and so on etc, so if you aren't up to speed on WP Security then may I suggest that you make the small investment and purchase Bharat's WP Securer course.

Nicely laid out into modules, it makes this a simple process to watch as much or as little as you want at a time, or like me, go through the whole thing and make notes, of which I did plenty as certainly learnt a few more things to do to secure my clients sites.

For newbies, take each module at a time and go back through anything you're unsure of. Bharat explains in great detail and certainly makes sure that you come away with plenty of knowledge.

So, marks out of 10, I would give an 8.5.
