No I usually don't hold onto the site, I create the sites and then list them immediately for sale.

I have included in this wso an ebook Site Biz Traffic which discusses the traffic methods that I do use on my own websites and briefly mention in the main ebook about using these methods to create traffic and income and then selling the sites for a higher profit. This is an optional step for those that want to do that, but it isn't a necessary step to build a site flipping business.

I do mention a little about Sitepoint but mostly I discuss selling on Ebay. Generally I sell my sites on Ebay and have had much more success on Ebay than I have had on Sitepoint

These sites can be sold on Sitepoint and I know people that do sell them on Sitepoint, my personal preference is Ebay.

Well, that's nice, Sheryl. But I've never really tried eBay because of all the crap turnkey sites I see there with tons of auctions just going dead. Not saying that you're among those but it just seems everyone floods eBay with the junk and only a few stand out.

There are a lot of junk websites being sold on Ebay and many of them just don't sell - that was a huge concern for me when I first started out. You do need to stand out from the crowd by offering good quality sites and having a good Ebay listing, both of which I teach in this ebook.

Personally, I have just been much more successful on Ebay than I have on Sitepoint.

I must admit this one interests me, as it seems to fly in the face of everything else you read. On all of the main forum threads, I keep reading that Sitepoint is the only place to sell websites, and that the market is dead on DP and eBay. I also keep reading that the market for turnkey sites is dead, and that you need to build up traffic to site over a few months before you can hope to sell at a profit.

You seem to be marching in the opposite direction, and succeeding at it.

I have a few questions -

1) Hosting. To get started in this business, do you have to upgrade your hosting to a reseller account, and if so how easy is it to do this? I cannot afford to jeopardize the established sites I have on my regular HG account.

2) eBay. Although I am experienced with setting up Wordpress sites, so I could presumably set one of these up quickly, I have no experience with eBay. Absolutely none. Not even an account. How much of a handicap would it be having a brand new account with no feedback in the initial stages?

3) Is there any other investment involved with this, other than the obvious setting up of the hosting account and the buying of the domain names?

4) Chargeback bandits. I have read your thread on the main forum about the lunatic who has been threatening you and trying to ruin your business. One isolated idiot can afflict anybody no matter what business they are in, even if they are just a low salaried employee. What about the reports of the chargeback bandits who infest eBay, the ones who get your website and then charge back on you? Do you have a serious problem with this? Do you have any way of dealing with it, or do you just have to write it off as a “necessary business expense”?

I am assuming from what you say that someone could test this out and get results within a couple of weeks, and with relatively little money put at risk at the start? And then reinvest in further domains and build up from there if it was successful?

1. Yes I do use a reseller hosting account for my site flipping business. I actually have 2 hostgator accounts - 1 for my own websites and 1 for the websites that I sell. I do have the reseller account so that I can offer hosting to my customers and make a residual income in doing so. If you prefer not to have the reseller account you could instead just refer your customers to Hostgator but you will most likely need to transfer the sites for them.

2. I started a new Ebay account not too long ago, just to see how I'd go with very little feedback as many people did say that my success was due to a high and a good feedback rating. On my new account, I made a couple of small purchases over a period of a few days to get my feedback up to about 5 and then I started listing sites. My feedback is just at 20 on this account and my sites are selling well, so I really don't think feedback is a big issue.

3. The costs involved with this are the domain names - and I often just use .info names which are only about 99c and they sell just as well. The hosting account cost and the Ebay costs. I tend to start my listings at a price that will cover my costs.

4. Chargebacks - I unfortunately did have one lunatic customer who threatened me personally and my business and did go out of their way to try and ruin my business - but hey I'm still selling sites and that customer is probably still not being successful at anything - and is probably harrassing someone else. I actually won the Paypal dispute on that one too I really haven't had a problem with chargebacks (other than that one), I have had the occasional customer ask for a refund and generally I give refunds if they ask - I feel its better to just give it and keep your good feedback rating - but to be honest I really haven't had many refund requests at all. Actual chargebacks - that bad customer was the only one that did it and she lost.

This is something that you can do very quickly and start earning money quite quickly. These sites can be sold on Sitepoint, there are people that sell sites like these on Sitepoint, I just have had more success on Ebay and prefer to sell on Ebay.

I just had the time to glance through the eBook and I can tell that it has everything that it was promised and more, together with the fact that I prefer to follow instructions through a book than through videos, since it is easy for me to go back to the page that I want to remember than looking through the video for that special section that I need.

Most likely that is due that I was born in the middle of a huge library, three stories height, that my father gather during his lifetime.

Alright, Sheryl. I promised you a review on this (privately) and here it goes:

This is just the latest site flipping book I've gotten. Of course site flipping is the hottest money making trend around now because of its ease and its quick cash potential. Sheryl's book, Site Biz, is definitely a newbie friendly book as she literally goes step by step on each procedure, from creating your site to selling it. Even as a somewhat experienced site flipper I've learned two new things in it. It has also increased my thoughts of whether to sell on eBay or not (I'm giving it a shot now). This eBook concentrates on eBay and not Sitepoint, though there are like one or two mentions of the latter in the book.

Sheryl does somewhat show samples of the sites she has flipped in the book, though they are old and you won't find them on eBay anymore (eBay deletes completed listings that are over 90 days old). But in the entire book she pretty much gives you a live example of how she creates a site then flips it on eBay (the site that she showed in the book did sell well).

But if there is one con in the book that I can point out it's one thing. And I've bitched about it over and over again on every site flipping book that I've reviewed: When to start and end your auctions! She DOES tell you to a certain extent, but not enough for newbies to get out of the dark. I can confidently tell you that things do sell better on certain times of the day and on certain days of the week than others.

Overall, this one gets a 4.5/5 from me (of course I'm rating from a newbie's perspective). This is by far the most literal step by step, do-this-do-that site flipping book I've read. It is GREAT for newbies who want to get in the game and flip sites on eBay. The big dollars are on Sitepoint obviously, but if you're looking for some quick flip cash, eBay is the place to go now. And this book will help you every step of the way (other than the small con I've mentioned). It definitely can't compete with Flip Mastery, but is up there with many others I've gotten. Hi Don, yes these websites are using Wordpress. I use a widget created through the Ebay Partners Network which is completely free. There are plugins that you can use but I prefer the Ebay widget.

1. These websites I can create in less than an hour. It will take a bit longer at first while you are learning, as with most things, but once you get the hang of it you can definately create them in less than an hour.

Sheryl really puts her money where her mouth is. She has always been too honest and too trusting. You really couldnt have a better friend than Sheryl - she will do anything she can to help you out and she applies this to her clients as well.

I have all of her previous books and can honestly say that Sheryl doesnt leave a thing out.

In fact I have argued with her to take some of the details out of her book as I think she will create too much competition but she is adament that people who buy her book will get a quality product.

Sheryl really knows her way around ebay and siteflipping so well worth listening to anything she has to say. How do I know? Because apart from article writing (I get paid $20 per article so am quite successful at it), the most money I have made online was when Sheryl sold some sites I had built (Ebay has and always will scare the daylights out of me!).

1. I see in your last screenshot of your "completeds" looks like you are selling e-stores, ie Iphone store, etc. these are eBay stores right? So you have to be an ebay affiliate? I had read on WF that it is getting harder to be accepted as an affiliate. Do you address that in your book?

2. Are you getting your graphics outsourced or are you creating them yourself?

My sites use Amazon, Ebay and Adsense. Yes you do need an Ebay Partners account and so will your buyers, I do discuss that in my ebook.

I do my graphics myself, the ebook includes 10 of my Wordpress templates that are designed specifically for these type of sites and I will be adding another 10 shortly and possibly more in the future.

The main page on my site is Amazon and then I put some Ebay pages on the inner pages. It is possible to create the sites without the Ebay pages and just have Amazon and Adsense as the income sources. Depending on the niche you could possibly add Clickbank products also.

Amazon is very easy to get accepted with, I've never had a problem with them.

Adsense can be a little bit harder, but I have a method that I use which 95% of the time will get you accepted. If you purchase this wso, just shoot me an email and I'll give you the link to where I have the method explained.
