Hi Ayaw,

I just downloaded and installed your software. It's really a great software as far as the coding goes but I couldn't seem to set it up properly. I am trying to set it up at Well Windows!. What do I enter in the Private Key and Public Key fields? I went to the AWS site of amazon and I saw references to a private key and public key field but I think I can only access the information if I download the X509 certificates. Do I need to do that? I really need your help on this. The error I'm getting is "Warning: Division by zero in /home/wellwind/public_html/widget_featured.php on line 19" on my sidebar where the featured items are. Thanks.

Hi Rommellim

Once you enter the Product Advertising API section of your Amazon
affiliate area you should see a Manage Your Account link, click on
that.

Then in the Access Identifiers box theres a Click Here link.

Once on that page, you should see your Access Key ID plus
theres a Show Me link you have to click on to show your
Secret Access Key.

You should not have to download a certificate.

Also, have you entered the right product number for each
featured item, it should be something like:

B000GKC28W

Hi Terry,

Thank you for your help. I tried that first. I am in the administrator Panel and I see where there are two fields for a Public Key and a Private Key. I entered the Access Key in the Public Key field and the alphanumeric characters that show up when you click Show me in the Private Key field. By product number you mean ASIN right? I pulled them up under the ASIN lookup tool, Easy Store : Amazon ASIN lookup Tool. I don't know what else I am doing wrong.

Has anyone experienced this error message with their stores? I host mine on subdomains and each time I build a store Ayaw (when he surfaces) has to assist me in getting them up and running. I have tried everything!

Saint, did you add/replace the old files with the new files? That looks to me like the message I got when I forgot to do that on one of my sites, and therefore did not have the Secret Key entered in my admin panel for that site. Make sure you open the "admin" update folder, and replace the old files with both of the files that it contains. You can't just upload the new admin folder, you have to open it and upload each of those files into the old admin folder.

jwillin, I use subdomains for most of my sites, and have had no problem like that. I upload my script through the main domain, into the subdomain folder. Is that how you do it? I'd like to be more help, but I'm not really techy enough to understand the error message you're getting. The routine I use has been working fine. I'm on Hostgator, and use Filezilla for the uploading.

Thanks for your reply. I appreciate it. I have hostmonster. I upload the store using a ftp program. So, I upload it directly into the folder on the subdomain. However, on each store I've had to get Ayaw's help. Either he's placed an update on the software or had to change my htaccess file.

The last site he helped me with, he told me to download the working store and the next store I build all I would have to do is change the htacess file and the admin area. Well, that method is not working for me. In his last message to me regarding this issue he had this to say:

I think you entered the wrong public key and secret key.
Please check your key.

I have checked the keys and copied and pasted them from Amazon into the admin area and made sure there were no spaces after the numbers at least twice. I still get the same error message. I advised him of this on Sept 30th and haven't heard from him since.

I will try to re-upload with a fresh copy of the program along with his updates. I will see if that works. I've just never experienced these type of problems with software. I would think it should work with every install you make without having to get assistance every time you use it.

Ok still having troubles. I tried both. Updating my current version 1 and making a new one using 2.0.

Just taking a quick look at your site all the links
you hover your mouse over have this link:

http://localhost/ass/

instead of your actual domain name.

I am guessing you have a configuration problem
where you need to insert your domain name.

Looks like no template being selected also which
all no doubt comes from the same problem.

site with a little more detail if you have no luck.

Just an update. I tried placing the software on a stand alone domain. I used the updated files also and even applied for a new amazon key to use. I am still getting the same error message. Oct 4th, no Ayaw.

This script does not work for everyone. You know it's a problem when you cannot install it on any domain without having some type of script issues. Plus, pay attention to the posts. If you are having to ask a question about the product, you already know the answer to your question. The support is horrible, this guy is not available for days or even weeks, but you should know that just by reading the thread. This is my most recent timeline dealing with Ayaw:

September 26, 2009: sent email requesting support
September 30, 2009: replied, but suggestion did not work; advised him of this
October 4, 2009: sent another request for assistance for same problem; he offered no follow-up to see if his suggestion had worked
October 7, 2009: Ayaw replied requesting ftp details etc. I haven't heard from him since. It is now October 13, 2009.

He is very apologetic and professional when contacting you. On this occasion he caught me at a bad time. I wasn't in the mood for his syrupy apologies and told him so. His apologies are just an excuse to keep doing what he's doing. Nothing changes with Ayaw or his script, being MIA has become his method of operation. Maybe he became upset with my comments to him, but at this point I could care less.

What keeps me from going mad? I had the good sense to purchase another Amazon store script at the same time I purchased Ayaw that is comparable to his and works every time I install a store. At the time, I thought Ayaw's script was too good to be true. I see that I was correct in my assessment. Having purchased the other Amazon store script has kept me from being dependant on Ayaw to fix the script errors in his software and most importantly, losing sales.

Your support issues take the back burner to anything he has going on in his life. Just horrible customer service. I must say Ayaw has got to be the worse warrior merchant I have ever dealt with on the forum. The script is nice if you can make it work or if you have the programming skills to do so, but I caution you...buyer beware.

I have stopped promoting his product because it is not a quality product and I certainly wouldn't want other buyers having to go through what I have experienced with Ayaw. The product and customer service issues would be a reflection of me. In my opinion, Ayaw has shown he cannot be depended upon to offer assistance to purchasers of his product. So, if you purchase, you do so at your own risk. Good luck.

I hate to agree with jwillin but I am going to. At first it worked great, but it took forever to get access to the fixes and they still arnt working. my sites have not been functional for about 6 months. He replies once every 10 emails I sned and after a month appologizing and I never get the help I needed. Jwillin please tell me the where I can buy another good script that you use. I am dying to get my sites working.

Yeah, ditto here. Not only does he want to charge his existing customers $20 for the WP upgrade, his email says it's limited to 5 blogs only. Look at the original WSO and it's clear you can install the first versions on as many sites as you wish.

They are completely different, not just an upgrade.

Currently, the plugin is only available for Auto eStore customers. About the limited domain license. There's so much complains about that too... I'm very sorry... 5 is never enough :P
So, I've increase it to 10 domain license and just add $5 to the price.

Once the promotion time is over, you can upgrade to unlimited license.

From reading your posts back early on in this WSO you seem to indicate that WP Integration will be provided free of charge to those of us who purchased the original script.

I just went back and re-read those posts and again and have still come to the same conclusion.

Specifically deltamatrix on page two of this thread asks:
"Will owners of this program get the update for free? Just wondering if I should wait for the new WSO or buy this one as I want the WP integration. "

and your response a couple posts later was:
"@deltematrix: yes... updates is free"

Maybe the PHP script does integrate with WP? When the script stopped working and you disapeared I stopped following the developments.

I have been using autoestore script in the last few months. It is paying by itself now and increasing. Thanks to Ayaw.

I too have the same confusion before as to this WP theme integration thing.

The one that has free updates for wp theme integration are those who has already the old autoestore 1 or 2 HTML script. NOT a WP plugin. But you can use a wp theme instead of the default themes by ayaw. You still need to tweak settings in the cpanel. No wp-admin. I still have to use autoestore 3 but the problem before is that some wp themes will mess up the site so an update is needed. But integrating with a WP theme is just an add on and not necessary for the autoestore 1,2,3 script to run.

The one that requires payment is the soon to be released WP plugin autoestore script. A different kind of script.This is a WP plugin so this can be used to ALL WP themes with the wp-admin panel. Easier to set up and more powerful I think with recent posts fetch from newly released products from amazon if I am not mistaken.

Auto eStore 2.0 (wp integration, you can use wp-themes now)
Auto eStore 3.0 (more improvements)

Previously, I plan to sell Auto eStore 2.0 on separate WSO and put this thread to end. But because I have a lot of problem in the past, I canceled it because I realize I have no time to give support.

Deltamatrix means that canceled WSO.

About the Auto eStore Wordpress Plugin, it's a new products...
My fault is because I use the same name for this products.
I should call it 'Auto wpStore', but I think using again 'Auto eStore' is better although it's confusing because Auto eStore already solid have a lot of loyal customer.

Consider this 'Auto eStore' is Windows
and The 'Auto eStore WP-Plugin' is OS X
It have the same purpose but it's completely different.

While Microsoft always charge for updates from 95, 98, 2000, XP, Vista, 7, all the Auto eStore upgrades from 1.0 to 3.0 is free.... and for the future 4.0 5.0 6.0 7.0... it's always free :P

Update With Ayaw,

Ayaw showed back up today and assisted me in getting my site up and running. It looks very nice. The changes made in autostore version 3 are noticeable and only adds to the uniqueness of the software and the product. I will try the new version of autostore on some different sites and see if I will have a seamless installation. It seems as though Ayaw with his updates to the software has made that a possibility.

We have buried the hatchet and now moving forward. I'm happy. Ayaw is happy now that he is back and has made some additions to his team which is a good thing. Thanks again for your help Ayaw. I appreciate it. Welcome back to the fold.
