I don’t think I need to write pages and pages here about the importance of getting backlinks to your web pages in order to get them to feature prominently in the search engine results pages (SERPs). Things don't always go as we hope but the current plan is that I'll bump this WSO probably on Monday to give everyone a chance to see it, then I hope to be opening up the free registrations around the middle of the week. It could be after that but definitely not before Tuesday afternoon (GMT). When I fix the time, I'll send out an advance warning about 8-12 hours beforehand so that everyone gets a chance to see the email whatever time zone you are in.

Thanks Scorpio9, and you make a very good point. The SEO industry really has unlimited potential as everyone that builds or owns a website wants to see it appear on page #1 of Google. People are getting wise to the old so-called SEO companies that just submit your site to hundreds of directories and this has opened up the market for those that make the effort to arm themselves with real knowledge, tools and resources.

Let me know if you're coming over here again this year and maybe we can organise a Warrior meet-up in the sun.

I just tested it with a hotmail address I don't use much and immediately received the autoresponder message with the subject "Thanks for Registering" from "SEO Membership WSO". Did you not receive this?

The notification to advise everyone when the sign-up page goes live hasn't been sent out yet, so don't panic, you haven't missed it. The delay has been caused by having to uninstall my forum software due to persistent spam hackers and start again from scratch with myBB which I was previously not familiar with. The documentation for using the site was in the forum and it should all be in place again soon, so, as mentioned in my previous post, be on the look out for an email tomorrow.

If anyone who has registered wants a copy of the registration autoresponder message, just let me know and I'll PM it to you.

The email will come from the same autoresponder as previous messages and the Subject will be WSO URL Notification. You should have already received a "one hour to go reminder" and the notification is due to be broadcast in about 15 minutes.
