I am preparing build 1.9.5 right now. Bugs are all fixed.

Yes you can add 100's of followers fast. Yes within a day.

We should never forget that you need to make this look real, posting Tweets, and putting delays, adding in batches all accomplish that. Especially with our ability to randomize the batch size and delay.

a few things:

1) after using it the first time round.. it stopped after I had followed 187 new people with a page that said my account had been suspended due to suspicious activity. Weird, because my account is still live - your thoughts?

2) I downloaded your update but now when I try and run the program I get a "run time error '339'" message and the program won't load.

3) I went to my account on your website however I am getting directed to a page that says:

Not Found

The requested URL /content.php was not found on this server.

Sounds very strange.

The 339 message is because a component has become unregistered. It should say more than run time error 339 can you PM the full details.

Tips for searching using Advanced Search

This is following a user question about using negative keywords ...

Imagine you wanted to find people tweeting about an iphone

Simple phrase to search would be iphone but if you want better more focused results, search for "i want an iphone" - but that might still be a tweet like

Do you say "I want an iphone" - if you do - click here airline tickets cell phone deals at whatever.com

You maybe don't want to add users who are marketing in the iphone market ... so you could use the negative filter -filter:links or -click here

Giving you a search query of "i want an iphone" -click here or "iwant an iphone" -filter:links

Hey buddy, I found your twitter spy a while back, but I've been working on other stuff.
Anyway, I'm looking to devote some time to Twitter now, so I have a couple more questions for ya.
If you have already addressed one of these, then my apologies--as I'm just going off of memory.
My first question is-Can I install program on two computers? Or just one?
2nd question is-If the answer to #1 is yes, then my next question would be--what if one of the computers is sometimes running on my I.P., and sometimes on a different I.P., altogether.
The reason for these questions is that I have recently hired a part-time employee. I would want to familiarize myself with the software first, and then train her on it. I gave her a laptop to use...which she would be using on the same I.P. as me during the day. But then she takes it home at night, and may very well be doing some work then, also-- Hence the questions.
Sorry if you answered this one in your sales copy: Do you have video tutorials?
I did watch the one with the link on the sales copy. Just curious if you had any updated ones, or specific vids for tutorial purposes?
And I will give you an opportunity to promote your newest features...by asking you--What specifically can we do with the latest and greatest? (unless your keeping a lid on some of the details?)
P.S. If anyone currently using this product, wants to comment on how it is working out for you? I would love to hear some current feedback.

Hi Doug,

The software can be installed on 2 pc's - we track IP - but allow IP changes provided the user has a valid license. So there should be no problem in what you are looking to do.

Videos, we are going to put new videos together over the coming week. We have been flat out working on V2.0 which is almost complete.

The new feature is Projects, save projects, set them to run when you want.

More features coming like full scheduling of Tweet Updates and Direct Messages.

Hey, simple question...that I just didn't catch in the vids on youtube, which I just watched. Question- can we isolate a search to just bio's? Or do we have to search tweets and bio's simultaneously?

Oh, 1 other quick thing. Do you have a list of recommended settings, like if I told you that I just have one ecommerce store that I've built for long term value and all that good stuff. I will possibly be adding a 2nd Twitter account, but I'm primarily interested in fostering a long term relationship with customers or Twitter followers, for my existing website. So, I would probably want to be a little more conservative with my settings, than most of your users. Perhaps you could at some point...pm me with suggestions on that. I'm sure I'll find my own comfort levels, but it would be good to get your input at the get-go.

No no, that's cool buddy. I was actually wanting to be able to just search Bio's, so I don't really have a desire to search both at once. So by all means, don't add that for me. I think I will always prefer to do the searches separate, even if I want to check the same word, I believe my preference will still be to just search them separate.
Ok, I'm going in to buy now. I have about a 1/2 doz. "seo"/I.M. type softwares, but I have a feeling this one is going to be one of my most valuable.

Oh, sorry bud, one other question: I'm a bit tech challenged, otherwise I would probably know the answer. The question is--Can I be working online while the software is running?
I do have an inferior PC (no Mac yet), but it is a "late model", and I do have speedy internet access...I'm assuming those are factors.
I have a lot of other software...rank trackers, link checkers and that good stuff. With all of them, I am able to do other things while they are running, no problem at all.
So I just wanted to check with you on that.

I don't know that it would be necessarily fair to equate hottwitterspy...directly to sales?
That's a bit like asking how much your making from your article submission software? Or how much your making from the link analysis software that analyzes your competitions links?
It seems to me that...that would be a question for a marketing "guru" that is teaching people how to make money with Twitter.
I can assure you that are plenty of people making money from Twitter. But, in order to do that--You need to know how to market properly on Twitter (which essentially equates too...not looking like your marketing on Twitter).
There is of course, much more too it. The other thing that you need is large numbers of followers.
The latter can be easily accomplished with hottwitterspy. But, if you screw up the former, then its not going to make you any money.
There are a ton of variables--Ranging from how you manage your Twitter relationships...with your followers...to what your selling, and how well you have set up your landing pages, sales copy etc.
Get all of the other stuff right...and Hottwitterspy is a golden asset(as it will save you mass amounts of time and aggravation). Screw the other stuff up...and your not going to benefit, whether you have 10 followers or 10,000.

Hot Auto Tweeter sales are a good indication, because outside this forum it is not marketed, except in our Tweets, and we make 2 or 3 sales daily at full price ...

But as Doug said it depends alot on the marketing methods you employ.

Actually its not something I think we can fix, it is correct Direct Messages can be sent to users you follow.

Are you trying to just send marketing tweets to users? or a user in particular?

I wasn't just looking for another Autofollower, I have a ton of those. Plus you don't exactly go into great detail about how to set up "direct messages" in your manual.

It sends Direct Messages to the first 250 followers of any account. You can set that up to run daily (new in Build 2.0).

That limit is not an issue with the software, its simply the way Twitter.com works. If you are wanting to blast messages at users you need to reply to tweets, our Hot Auto Tweeter software does that. It searches for Tweets, and allows you to setup multiple replies to them. If you want to return the Hot Twitter Spy and take the Hot Auto Tweeter software let me know. I will refund you and cancel the license.

There again Twitter impose limits on how many messages each account can reply each day.

Unfortunately there is no miraculous trick we can deploy to over-ride the way Twitter.com is working - but we do look at the best ways to automate tasks and processes to maximize what you can do with it.

I'm noticing that even though I've set the options to only follow people within certain parameters of numbers of friends and followers, the software is still following people who fall well outside of those parameters.

Is there a way to fix this? It's the main reason I bought the software...

OK I am trying this out today and it seems like good software but I do find some features "quirky" and have had to reboot the software 3 times because of crashing. (I am on Vista) Good thing it reboots quickly. I have a few questions in regards to creating projects.

I set up some daily keyword searches and follows but when the program runs it does so without logging into my twitter account. This also leads to zero results, even though it seems to be "working the search".

The twitter account menu drop down for my project remains blank, even though the software had my account information. I only have one account, but it doesn't show.

There is no option as to when (time-of-day) to run the search - or so it seems?

I logged into my account manually while the search was going on, and then it did show some results, but there was no follow action. Must I manually click the auto follow option after the project does the search? If so, why add a manual process to an automated project? Maybe I got this wrong though.

The software did delete a lot of my follows of people not following me, so that part I like.

Thanks for checking out the software. Please PM the details of the Vista Issues, if we can identify them, we will fix them.

It sounds from your message that you were perhaps already either using another Twitter Software, or were logged into another account when the Hot Twitter Spy tried to search and add followers.

Twitter.com sessions mean it is very difficult to use more than one Twitter Software or be logged into one Twitter.com site account and use the Hot Twitter Spy without getting issues. It's they way their site works.

We have addresses it more in a new build coming out on Monday.

The Auto Projects are just set to run daily, weekly or monthly and they will run when you launch the software. We could look at changing that (not sure if we can set a time) but will discuss with the development team.

If you want to PM a screenshot or two of what you were doing via the Search that will help. Not sure if you used Automatic Projects or the Advanced Search box. If the latter in the right hand panel you need to select all and check box to follow user, and/or followers and friends. Then click Auto-Follow button to start to follow.

You are correct, as I had Hootsuite opened on my iMac. I am not sure if anything I did wrong has to do with Vista, but was just letting you know. I will continue working with this. TYVM.

Ok I logged out of Hootsuite and rebooted HTSpy. I had to manually log into the twitter account though from inside HTSpy using capcha. The project seemed to start running and I did see some results for each keyword I had in the project.

The end results were only 29, but that could be due to my keywords and filters which is fine. This is an automatic project and once the results are found the (29) sit there on the right side, so I then pressed Auto Follow. The software crashes almost immediately, and this has been repeated 3 times now.

I would also like to add that when I boot the software up, my account info is NOT there, even though I checked remember. So that is why I log in. Now when I do log in, I see my home twitter page in the software momentarily before it then proceeds to sign me OUT of twitter and return me to the Twitter home page to sign in again.

This gets a little aggravating because when I use the capcha Twitter home page to sign in, HTSpy keeps interfering with my cursors (because the program is doing something) and I can only input 1 or 2 characters at a time without having to navigate back into the sign-up process.

I may have done something wrong in the set up because I don't see other issues in this thread like mine so can you suggest a fix here?

Hey Marty,

I have been using this software for a few weeks, and I too have Vista (business). It seems that Vista just isn't real friendly when it comes to running some software products. I have some other "seo" type software products...and when I reported the bugs to developer...they deemed it a Vista isolated problem, which they did fix.
Anyway, with regard to hot T. spy--I had quite a few issues at the beginning...some of it being me, but not all of it. I did some Jing videos (he has his own set-up for this now)for Chris to see what I was doing and/or what was happening. Chris was prompt with his responses and with any adjustments that needed to be made to the software.
I prefer not to post my issues in the forum...as I don't want to publicize any negative stuff about the product...especially if it turns out to be my ineptness. I'm speaking strictly about me, and the fact that you mentioned the absence of any issues in this thread, lest you think it was a reference to your posts...it is not.
So like I said--Chris got everything going well for me. That said, I do still have a couple things that seem *off*, but I haven't had the time to properly investigate them. Twitter can be very finicky, so I don't like to jump to any conclusions...that it is a software issue.

The couple of things that I need to look at further, are not of the variety that you brought up. However, I'm happy to pm with you, in an attempt to confirm that we may end up with some of the same issues, or not the same issues-- which would help us to determine that our problem is or isn't related to Vista. I like using Jing to do those little 5min vids. So if you were having a particular issue...I could try to emulate it on my system...which would help to at least rule out Vista and/or operator error.
