What are Instant Niche Tweets?

Instant Niche Tweets are tips for your niche that have been formatted to meet the 140-character limitation of Twitter. These are short, quick to read and useful tips, facts or just basic information. (And while they are designed to work as tweets, you can use them for all sorts of things ... keep reading!)


Why Instant Niche Tweets Were Created

If you're already using Twitter, you know about the 140-character limitation for each of your tweets. And if you're like me, you realized pretty quickly that writing something coherent and worth reading wasn't always easy to accomplish in 140 characters or less!

When I created my first niche Twitter account recently, I wanted to post tips and quotes on a daily basis that were purely informational tweets ... no sales pitch and no link to anything. I just wanted to give "free" information so that my followers (and potential followers) would see that I wasn't just going to hit them up with sales pitches and RSS feeds.

But when I started doing research in order to find quotes and tips that I could use, I soon realized it was going to take more effort than I thought ... in fact, quite a lot of effort. Some quotes were just too long to be used and condensing even a 2-sentence tip into 140 characters could be quite challenging. So I was tossing just as many "good" tips and quotes as I was able to keep.

I figured if I was feeling the frustration with the 140-character limitation, I knew many others would be too. And if something is too time-consuming, we tend to move on to other methods ... abandoning what could potentially be a really good thing.

And so the concept of Instant Niche Tweets was born. These are morsels of information that have been condensed down to 140 characters or less, ready to load up to your favorite tweet scheduling tool like TweetLater or whatever you use.


What Makes Instant Niche Tweets So Special

I scoured the internet for tips and bits of information for each niche. Then I threw out the ones that were useless or too long to be made into a tweet. What is left is short quality tips for your niche.

Positive reinforcement or correction must happen immediately after the behavior in order for your dog to make a connection between the two.

Aim for behavior-changing goals that you know you will be able to maintain for many years rather than for just a few weeks.

Only regular words and spellings have been used in the Instant Niche Tweets ... no texting shortcuts or other non-standard "words", symbols or spellings. The occasional "&" has been used but little else that an English teacher wouldn't accept. I'm sure even Noah Webster himself would approve of these Instant Niche Tweets.

A lot of tips don't make the cut because there is no way to cram all the information into 140 characters. And I only use tips that I personally would put on my own site or into my own Twitter account.

So what is left is basically the cream of the crop ... informational tweets or tips that your readers can learn from.
