Hey Bruce,

Yes, you will see results using less backlinks, the important thing is that they go live and are not deleted. Try to make them as less spammy as possible.

The 100 mark is just for guaranteed results.

AWESOME report man. Your original post here on article marketing was one of the first warrior posts that I came across that really helped me out when I first got started in internet marketing. This report is fantastic.

Here is a question though. How do you feel about the whole sandboxing issue in regards to adding 100+ backlinks? DO advise to build slowly, or just go all out and let it ride out the sandbox and find number one placement?

Second question, how do you feel about goarticles and massive backlink? I have noticed that goarticles does tend to respond better to large backlinking campaigns, but this might just be me.

That sandboxing because of excessive backlinks is an absolute myth.

The other day, my friend Angela V. Edwards sent a broadcast to her list.

It was about how the Drudge Report received thousands of backlinks in one single day due to the Clinton affair story. That was the breakthrough of that site, no penalty.

The only reason as to why you should build backlinks slowly is to sustain the rankings, you won't get sandboxed.

I've heard about GoArticles being quite responsive to backlinks and rankings. To be perfectly honest, I haven't tried it myself, but I will. I'll let you know of the outcome.

Good info , but some questions

My articles are only 250 words and I include the keyword 3 times in the articles + the bio box, can this hurt my rankings? (by not including the keyword more and only writing 250 words)

Hey Karl,

I have never tried this method with 250 word articles, but it should work. Simply adapt it to that. First sentence, then every 100 words.

I was wondering how effective the linking would be using the services you suggest as it would be unlikely if not impossible for the 50 links supplied would be target to the article subject or the web site that the article links to.

Wouldn't the search engines rate the links and consequently the article or web site they point to, based on their relevance.

Great ebook especially seeing as its free.

Personally however i feel like 100 good backlinks is way overkill as often you can get an article to rank top just by social bookmarking it and submitting its RSS feed. Okay 100 quality backlinks would mean that all your articles would rank top 99% of the time but even sometimes 2 or 3 backlinks can do that and even better 0 backlinks.

Still all the same fair play it was a free report and it does what it says! So thanks!

Backlink relevance is irrelevant, give it a shot, if it doesn't work you get $100 USD.

If the backlink is live and in anchor text for the keyword, it doesn't matter where it comes from, as long a the site is of high PR.

Show me how many articles you have with 500,000 competition keywords under quotes that you managed to rank #1 with just social bookmarking and RSS feed submissions.

It's not gonna happen, at least not for worthy keywords. For that you need authority backlinks.

If you backlink with anchor text, with those precise backlinks mentioned, the keyword phrase your article is optimized around is below 500,000 competing sites under quotes, and all those backlinks go live (and stay live) the rankings are guaranteed.

Or you get $100 USD for your efforts.

Yes, you might not even have to backlink. You will be at least on page 1 for it.

You can do that also. It's just faster to rank with articles.

The anchor text backlink has to be the same as the keyword phrase you have optimized your article around.

No, you won't get in trouble. But it would work better if you do them spread out over a few days.

It doesn't matter, Google just counts it as a "vote". Most of those links don't require approval anyway.

I recently subscribed to angelas backlinks but I have a question that I can't get answered to my peace of mind:

I have made a site for my son's offline business (courier) which has been online for 2+ years. I have worked on it sporadically over this time and in fact it's doing quite well for his main keyword but I want to go for some bigger keywords now. My question is this:

If a site that has some backlinks - a reasonably large handful but not from very big pr sites (and put on over the course of 2 years) - if it suddenly starts getting pr6 backlinks fairly suddenly, isn't google going to raise a critical eyebrow??

How many, and over how much period of time, could I place these high pr backlinks to his site?

Nothing will happen, it's perfectly natural.

When "The Drudge Report" posted the Clinton affair story, they received millions of backlinks (literally millions) in one day.

They were pretty much unknown before then.

People seem to think Google is almighty. When the truth is they have a relatively small team which relies heavily on robots and algorithms.

They're pretty damn good, but not almighty.

Keep it white hat and you'll be fine.

I don't think it's a myth.

Have 3 sites that got massive amount of backlinks within a short period of time. Then suddenly no links.

My first page rankings all disappeared into the hundreds!

It was after a few months of constant link building did I slowly get my rankings back...

Maybe for old domains you won't get a backlink penalty, but I know for new domains you do.

I learned the hard way!

So perhaps you can get heaps of backlinks for EZA and GoArticle pages and it won't get sandboxed...

Anyways I'm going to try this method! =]

I used Market Samurai to check where my rankings went!

You can also do this with Traffic Travis - you can get it free, so I advise you to get Traffic Travis.

I prefer Market Samurai because it's like Traffic Travis on steroids, but it costs some money.

That is actually very true.

The reason I didn't mention it is because it doesn't apply to article directories such as EZA. Due to the reasons you already outlined.

But if you're going to apply this to your own new site, then yes, you might drop because of excessive instant backlinking.

It only applies to new sites.
