This internet pioneer sent out an email to his list describing in detail the steps he took in setting up the video and the graphics, and how he was testing and tweaking the whole process in order to get raw traffic to convert at $1 a click. Hi Gene!

Thanks for your question. The PSD files are only included with the graphics that have "PSD Source Files" listed under them on this page: Video Opt-in Graphics.

The reason it was set up that way is because I was using graphical elements that had a very restrictive license, and even though they were heavily manipulated by me, I was doing my best to honor the terms of the agreement, which stated emphatically that they could not be sold separately or given away.

If you were interested in having the source files to a particular graphic for the purposes of editing the text, I could always flatten those elements and send it separately to you, provided that graphic is in the Gold or Platinum package. The reason it wasn't done that way when I first launched the product was due to time constraints. And no one has asked about it, until now.

On the Video Squeeze Pages, I provide two different PSD files (both are pre-sliced). One has all the text elements, with the type and layer effects for those who are using Photoshop and want to keep the look and feel of the original graphic. The other is basically stripped down, with just a few of the original layers. (I was in so much pain at the time, I can barely remember my reasoning for doing it that way.)

Initially, I do recall that I was going to include the PSD files only to the Platinum Members. But somewhere along the way I changed my mind.

Great question! Last year I began experimenting with making the skins small enough to fit on the sidebar or widgetbar. Got sidetracked, though, and haven't been able to get back to working on that.

I did allow my Platinum Members the opportunity to download and experiment on their own with the mini prototype I created. Hopefully over the next few weeks I'll be able to get back to that "experiment."

As far as installation, I haven't personally put the opt-in skin on any blogs yet, but a few of my customers have. I'm not really much a of a blogger.

Interestingly enough, I am installing a couple of blogs on my websites this evening.

No, have not been back to Idaho. I'm recalling now the view when flying into Boise... it was the first time I had seen mountains that were completely brown. Not a speck of green on them. Everywhere I looked it was brown.

While Boise may not be on my list of places to see again, I would like to go back to Idaho. Up to the north, around Coeur d'Alene. A couple of marketers I know live there, and the pictures I've seen of the area are just stunning.

My documentary, an AMERICAN BEACH, already has been broadcast on public television... for three years. I'd like to re-edit it longer, and re-release it. Just need about 50k to do it.
