| EDIT: 28th July ====> This One's For Mike Code: Fellow Warriors, All proceeds from this WSO will go directly to one of the finest Warriors (and blokes) I know -- Mike Oksa. Mike helps people. Period. Unfortunately Mike needs our help now... Read all about it HERE. You'll see soon enough how highly Mike is rated in these parts. Anyway...I've bumped this li'l WSO to do my part. When you buy it, not only are you getting a kick-ass Wordpress Plugin, but 100% of your cash will be sent to Mike and his family. Pay it forward, OK? Hint: Even if you don't want to buy...you could still tweet ;) Steve Quote:

Dear Friend, No big headline. No bold promise. No outrageous claims. No...this offer is a little different from most. Not because I'm trying to be cute or clever -- let me assure you, that's not the case. Nor am I trying to convince you in some lame-ass way that what I've got is so darn good it "needs no hype". Far from it. Fact is...I have a confession to make... What you're about to see is an almost exact clone of an existing WSO, But it's important you realize I'm gonna be brutally honest with you today. So please hear me out. Here's the thing... A couple weeks ago, I came across a very interesting WSO, run by two very respected and trustworthy Warriors. Their offer claims to make duplicate content appear unique to the search engines... ...without changing a single word of the original text. It's a Wordpress plug-in. I won't name names, but you won't have to look too hard to find it. Anyway, this plug-in looks pretty darn cool...and their WSO thread has plenty of positive comments. What's more, several Warriors have already had decent results with it. A few have even seen their duplicate content ranking higher in Google than the original copies. In fact, it looked so good...I was about to throw 35 beans at it myself to get my own copy. But... Well, a couple of things, really... First up, see...as much as I KLT (know, like and trust) these two guys – and I really do – and as much as they insist they've been using their plug-in for months without a hint of a problem... ...it might be seen as a little...y'know...Dark Hat Having said that, of course...it can be argued that auto-blogging, article spinning, mass RSS submissions, manul backlinking, etc. are all dark hat SEO techniques – in the sense that they are all used to 'manipulate' search engine rankings... On top of that...the whole “duplicate content” debate has been going backwards and forwards for years now. Either way, I didn't want to shell out for this plug-in, only for the Big G to come along and drop my sites like a stone a couple weeks later. Second – and more importantly – I write freakin' PHP code for a living, and I knew I could write my own version. ...So that's exactly what I did. It's called WPUniquer. Minimum Requirements:
"But, What Is WPUniquer, and How Does It Work? " Well, for starters, here's a little fact for you... Did you know that 65% of all written English is made up of just 300 words? Or that the Top 100 most common words account for more than half of everything we write? Words like: the, of, and, you, with, they, have, from...etc. Well, the search engines know this...so when they come a-crawlin' your site, they skip right over these 'useless' words. Yeah, they index them, but they sure as heck don't give them any weight. I mean, no-one's gonna go balls-out to rank high for the word “Other”, are they? WPUniquer is a WordPress plug-in which silently changes the source code of your blog posts, and replaces these 'useless' words with computer-readable HTML character codes. What does that mean? Well, essentially, you take some PLR content, an article, or any other piece of duplicate content, post it on your blog... ...and because the underlying source code is different to the original, the search engines will see it as unique content... But, to a human reader, the text is identical to the original... ![]() ![]() No more time consuming article spinning. No more outsourcing fees getting your PLR content re-written. Just...Copy. Paste. Publish. Done. Sounds great, doesn't it? It's just two files. Simply upload them to the plug-ins folder on your blog...activate the plug-in...and you're good to go. WPUniquer will then replace the 'useless' words on all of your posts – past, present, and future. This crazy plugin does this all on the fly...meaning your posts aren't actually changed...so, if you were to de-activate the plug-in, they'd all return to normal. And you have full control over the words it'll change for you, too. It comes with a dictionary file with 100+ of the most common English words. Feel free to add or remove as many as you want. “So, Steve, I Want To Give This A Shot..." OK, if you've been reading this far, you'll know I've been very clear about 2 things...
at For a Full 30 Days... ...To test it, evaluate it, pull it apart, throw as much at it as you want, and measure your results. On One Condition... This is a biggie, so please pay close attention. The condition is, you can test it for a full 30 days...and if it doesn't rank your duplicate content without modification...as high as your unique content...then simply hit me for a refund. No questions asked. No hard feelings. I told you I was going to be brutally honest. Having said that...when all's said and done, I reckon 30 days is plenty of time for you to judge how the search engines are gonna react. I'm just watching out for both our backs, is all. And besides, buyers of similar products are already claiming good results. And they're paying $35 - $97 for the privilege. But you won't have to pay $97. You won't even have to fork out $35... No...I'm giving this awesome plugin away for: just... $27 That's a personal license for as many domains as you wish to use it on. Not only that, but if there's enough interest, I've got some plans to trick this puppy out big-time in version 2.0 ...and naturally, you'll get that – and any future upgrades – totally free. And what if this plug-in really does put an end to rewriting content for your blog? Well, that gives me a little dilemma. See, if too many people start using this method, then the search engines are bound to sit up and take notice... ...and probably take action to prevent it. And that means – if this sucker is gonna fly under the radar, then I need to limit the amount of copies I send out. “Ah, the old scarcity trick, hey Steve?” Well, yes and no. Think about it, if this plug-in actually works, then I have no choice but to protect the interests of everyone who owns it. And that means I'll have no option other than to close the door on this offer, potentially without notice. So, if you are even remotely interested in grabbing a copy, you'd better do so before it's too late. Is all. "So, What Do I Need To Do Now?" OK, when you click the button at the bottom of this post, you'll be able to sign up using your PayPal account. Once you've done that, you'll be sent a download link, with install instructions... ...(like I said, upload a couple of files, activate the plug-in...Boom!) You are absolutely free to ask for a refund at any time during the next 30 days.... No hard feelings whatsoever. So, what's stopping you? Here's a chance to see for yourself how the search engines really treat duplicate content...and whether you can out-rank anyone else using the same content as you. Thanks for reading. It seems your plugin does exactly the same thing as the other WSO plugin you mentioned. Does it also require Ioncube loaders to be installed on your hosting account?

is character encoding or escape encoding considered as Blackhat too? When the browsers are able to decode these encodings, why not google bot do that and cross check with the browser render version and the html version. Google bot can see a webpage from multiple angles -> raw html, html without css, rendering of html by different browsers expecially firefox and IE engine. Even though the code looks different to human eyes, the search engine see the same brower rendering, and considers it duplicate and also penalizes for attempting to trick it! search engine just view those people who scraps from ezine articles and other content sources as duplicate content, although ezinearticles dont come with a creative common's license which google recognize, google sees this character encoding as valid only when your content language is other than english. Is character encoding for english language is a bad seo practise? Correct me if iam wrong! Cheers! |

This can also be a killer with plr articles from your hard drive together with the zip poster. I think I will bite on this one, but before I do I will be glad if you can answer two question for me. Will this plugin work on all the content on the blog, or can I choose it to not change my content that is already unique? If I sell the blog down the road, do I then have to remove the plugin from the blog, and if I have to do so, what will happen next time the big G visit the blog? Thanks in advance for your answer. Kindly regards, Oddvar.

This version will convert everything. Version 2 will let you choose which posts to convert...i.e.ignore already unique content. You'll get version 2 for free if you sign up for the 30 day trial...it'll be ready in approx 2-3 weeks. Quote:
If you buy it...it's yours. If you sell your site...you pass the license on. It's simple. ![]() So you won't need to remove the plugin. Thanks for your questions. I really appreciate the time you've taken to ask. Steve

Can your plugin automatic covert existing articles? or I need to save it again? If so, when I want to revert back the post to normal, how do I do that? Thanks for the information! |

![]() In the current version, the plugin will convert ALL posts on your blog. Actually, convert is the wrong word -- it doesn't modify the underlying content, but it changes the source code 'on the fly' whenever a page is requested. So, if you deactivate the plugin, the source code gets reverted back to normal again. In version 2 (which I'm working on), you'll have the ability to turn the functionality on and off for specific posts. Hope that helps. And thanks for looking. Kind regards, Steve

So, correct me if I'm wrong ... you just activate this plugin and it automatically does this on the fly to any requested page ... you don't need to convert and then update the page? That is unlike the other WSO, actually because the other program converts the text files you give it and then you post them.

You don't need to do anything to your posts beforehand. This plugin will take the 'normal' text, and convert the source code when the page is requested. Thanks for taking the time to ask, and for giving me the chance to clarify. Kind regards, Steve

Great questions! Thanks for asking ![]() Beware...Geek answer alert..! I hope this answer doesn't sound condescending...I certainly don't mean it to... Anyhow, the script you mention -- I believe -- uses Javascript to obfuscate the underlying content. Javascript is an interpreted, or client-side, language. This means the content needs to be rendered by the client browser (or...more importantly...the search engine bots). That's an inexact science. Search engines may or may not render the Javascript as expected...although the writers of uniquifier claim great results (which you have obviously verified for yourself) WPUniquer uses PHP to modfy the page source. PHP runs server-side, and is therefore 'pre-rendered' and delivered to the browser (and spiders) as straight HTML code. There's no code interpretation needed. Now - whether this is an advantage...I can't say. Nor can (or will) I try to convince you that my script is better than the one you already use... However, this is a chance for you to put your eggs into more than one basket...to divide and conquer, if you like. In any case, Ray, I'd like to thank you again for your valid questions. I really appreciate your interest, and I hope to see you on board. Either way, have a great evening. Cheers, Steve

Quick question, is there any element of randomness to character mods? For example, if I roll out two sites with the same content, is the result identical? Easy to mod replacement calls in the source? Thanks for your time! |

Steve, I like what you're doing but I can't figure out how you get the uniqueness, (a) if you use the word "the" or the HTML code "t h e" dont they mean the same thing to the search engine?, same as HTML code means a space?? (b) if 5 users get the plugin and are using the same piece of text wont they end up with the exact same HTML source code? Am I missing something? scorpio9 |

(a) Simple answer: I don't know...I've read and heard (anecdotally, not factually) that Google et al treats this kind of modified content as unique. You're completely correct, though, there are plenty of well known (and well used) HTML codes...like you say & n b s p ; ...but that is a somewhat different kettle of fish compared to the other non-standard (i.e. valid, but not normally used) character codes... Test and measure...? (b) Randomness - I answered that one a few posts ago. In summary -- what a great idea! It'll be in v 2.0 ![]() Great questions, Scorpio. Thanks.

![]() Thanks for the question. There's a similar plugin on the market which uses javascript to achieve the same result. This one uses PHP. Because they both do the same thing (change the source code), they could both -- depending on your point of view -- be classed as blackhat. And many people don't consider it blackhat at all, either. The point I made eariler in the thread was that javascript code is interpreted at the browser level, whereas PHP is executed by the web server. Some search engines don't parse javascript output, and therefore don't index it. But most do, of course. Hope that helps, and thanks again for looking. Kind regards, Steve

I need to dump some plr's completely separate from my main directory, so I'll give it a whirl. Thanks for the free trial! Trying it out on my blog here, seems to be okay so far: http://www.articlegallery.net/Blog/ |

Did anyone do a copyscape test? How to do a copyscape test -- 1. Pick an article from ezinearticles.com that you can find through google. 2. Republish the article on your blog with this plugin installed 3. Enter the url of the republished article into copyscape If copyscape complains of duplicate content then this won't fly. If it doesn't it may still not fly, but I'd be more confident. |
