got some questions by PM, I think maybe it is better to reply in the thread.

1) the sound depends on your computer's sound card. better sound card will have better results. the flash uses raw music/voice file, so, it has no problem. when convert to avi file, it uses stereo mix to record. if your sound card does not support stereo mix, then it will use speaker output to record. that's why it depends on your computer.

We are working on a new update. In the update, this problem 2) is fixed. Users can adjust the wait time after voice. The voice length is accurated calculated by our algorithm.
2) it is because we have no way to know when the narration is over (depends on the voice you choose, and the text it reads). It looks like an easy job, but actually no. We have make the video longer, so no narration will be skipped. we'll adjust this in update, so reduce the wait time.

3) the natural voice is a huge file (about 500MB, maybe that explains why it sounds better). it is an exe file, you just run it, then it will install the voice on your PC. reboot PC, launch our software, the voice is there already.

4) no, you do not need train anything. it all depends on the natural voice. and when you buy natural voices, there are many choices, male/female, UK accent, Japanese/Korean accent, ....... but, you do not need train them, can use it immediately.

5) I do not think you can correct the voice. but I would think the case you mentioned will rarely happen, if ever happen.

I think maybe you misunderstood one thing. The voice does not come with our software. It comes with your windows. check "control panel"->"speech" or 'text to speech", the voices on your computer are listed. By default, the windows has 1 or 2 voices. These voices are not as good as natural voices which are copyrighted by big compaines. and we can not distribute them. You can buy them from vendors. check Article To SWF: FAQ . There are hundreds of choices, but we recommend AT&T's natural voices which costs about $20-30 per voice.

Voices will be installed on your pc. you can use it for ever, not just once.

*** We are working on a new update which will be released soon. It has more features, one of them is: users can use their own voice for the video.

it comes with some background images which are downloaded from some publick domain sites. you can download many of them from public domain sites. in the manual, we listed 3 sites. it is unnecessary to pack them in the software again.

it comes with 5 background music, and you can download 10 more when you download the software. we have the rights to use them for whatever we want. and again, loyalty free music are everywhere.

Hi David,

I didn't explain myself very well. I am totally new with the video stuff and don't know anything about formats or anything like that.

So,what I meant was, is the format it creates a video in, able to be submitted to places like youtube.

I already have software that will submit it for me, I just need to know whether it is compatible. I know that is probably a 101 question, but hey, if I don't ask I will be left confused.

Yes, you can do that. the software creates flash video. and then you can convert it to avi and mpeg. when you download the software, you will be able to download the swf to vidoe converter.

the videos shown in example page, including the youtube video on this swo, they are all converted by the converter.

Review:

I just recently started playing with the software. I found it to be really easy to use as long as you go through the manual thoroughly. You basically just copy and paste your article, include your image, sound and your video is ready. You probably might want to play around with it a little more until you get the hang of it. Also converting the SWF to AVI is pretty easy to do too. Overall, for the one time investment you can't go wrong. Get this software before the price goes up.

Here's just a short sample video I just created on the gardening niche:

As you can tell the female voice sounds a bit crappy.

I am yet to test with natural voices and recording with my own voice. I'll post results on that.

you are using version 1.0. There are some new features in V1.1. The music and voice in your video has a low volume. And the quality is not very good. It is because you used "microphone" as the audio resource when convert the video. that's why there are noise. You should use "Stereo Mix"/"Stereo Out" as audio resource. also, you need use 128kp/s format when converting.

For your attention. If you are to use natural voices from AT&T for business purposes, you will have to pay thousands of dollars and get the licence from them. In the past I had purchased AT&T voices but had to ask for a refund since they said I had to pay another thousand or so for each voice to use for business purposes. So I don't think you can use those natural voices in your video if you put your money site there.

I havea problem with Article to SWF. I'm using windows 7. The program is running fine but i keep getting "Article to SWF has stop responding" after I clicked on "Create SWF". I have also attached a picture indicating the problem. Please update the software to fix this problem!
