| "How to Get Offline Clients Calling You in This Recession" Fellow Warrior, There's no doubt that times are tough. In fact, on March 19th 2009, the world's richest man, Warren Buffett, said that: "It’s an economic Pearl Harbor. The recession will be longer and deeper than most people think. This will not be short and shallow." Do you think most business owners are suffering? You bet. Their cashflow is tight as they come under pressure from customers, competitors, suppliers and even their bank. Easily Overcome the "Recession Objection" In the past year I've been hearing the "recession objection" from my own prospects. It goes something like this... "I'd like to have a website that brings me business but I can't afford it right now. Times are tough. I've got bills and payroll to pay...blah, blah" To combat the common "recession objection" I developed a simple report to persuade offline business owners that they simply couldn't afford not to buy my web services. The "How to Recession-Proof Your Business Using the Internet" report was born and I've been tweaking it ever since. Use a Simple Report to Get Prospects Calling You The report covers some simple but important things for an offline business owner: - How People’s Behavior Changes in a Recession and How to Profit from It - What Offline Business Owners Should NEVER Do in a Recession and What to Do Instead - The 4 Reasons Offline Business Owners Need to Market Their Business on the Internet - The Top 3 Ways to Market an Offline Business on the Internet My name is Shaun O'Reilly and I've been selling to offline business owners since August 2000. You may have benefited from my contributions on the monster Cash Cow thread. Whatever, over the years I've developed the skill of writing reports that get offline business owners to contact me to work with them. Therefore, I don't need to waste my time chasing clients. The client-attracting reports bring them to me and can do the same for you too. Not All Reports Will Bring You Clients However, not all reports will bring you clients. They need to be structured in a certain way. I've been writing client-attracting reports since November 2003 to get clients phoning me and I have learned what works - and what doesn't in that time. Quote:

offline business owners are laying awake at night worrying about right now is a great idea. (Hint: The recession). How you end the report will have the biggest effect on the number of calls you receive from qualified prospects who are ready to buy your services. Most people make the mistake of ending their reports with a lame 'if you're interested in a consultation, give me a call.' Guess what? That sucks and any calls it does generate are by luck. Instead, you need to sell the offline business owner on why they should take time out of their busy day to speak with you. Just because it's free doesn't mean you don't need to sell it well. And that is why the last page of the report is focused on selling the offline business owner on the major benefits they'll get from the complimentary consultation. Here's What You Get: Here's what you get: with the client-attracting that you can give to prospects to get them to call you: - "How to Recession-Proof Your Business Using the Internet" report. The full 8-Page Client Attracting report in Word (.doc and .docx), Writer (.odt) and Adobe PDF (.pdf) format. ![]() Note - the report is not an 8-page ghostwritten article but a piece of persuasive sales copy designed to get hot prospects calling you. - Lead Capture Page - You can use this if you want to build your list of hot prospects and turn them into paying clients. - "How to Create a Client-Attracting Report" - Video [19':31"] and 4-Page PDF. This will give you the simple structure to allow you to create client-magnet reports. Quote:

I no longer conduct personal one-on-one mentoring sessions so you couldn't get me to reveal these techniques personally to you - at any price. Before that, I used to charge over £165 per hour and this report has taken me literally hours to write. If you were to ask a top class copywriter to create a client-attracting report of similar quality, it would set you back at least $500+. But I won't charge you anywhere near that amount. After all, this is an electronic product and I'll sell many, many copies so economies of scale work in your favor. I could charge up to $97 and get many takers who know the quality of my work. But I'm not greedy and I want to make this report easily within reach for you as a fellow Warrior. Because this is a WSO I'd like to offer you the opportunity to get this client-attracting report into your hands for the special low price of just $27. Quote:

Hi Shaun, This is hands-down THE BEST OFFLINE REPORT I've seen yet! It is attention-grabbing, compelling, includes supporting quotes/stats, and I LOVE the call to action at the end. There's nothing I have to change... except add my contact info. Thank you for such an effective marketing tool! :-) |

Thank you for your positive comments on the quality of the report. Getting the attention of offline business owners is essential if before you can attempt to sell your web services to them. And that is why I've focused the report on the #1 concern and topic of interest to business owners at the moment: the recession. So use the recession to grab the attention of your prospects. And you're right about the supporting quotes and stats I've provided in the report. I've placed them there so that you can leverage the credibility of other experts, e.g. Google, comScore, Ogilvy & Mather, etc. I worked with a mentor a few years ago who emphasized the benefits of quoting experts rather than always trying to be the expert. I think this approach is useful particularly for people new to this area. Glad to hear that you LOVE the call to action at the end too. Aside from the title of the report, the call to action is the most important part of a lead generation tool such as this. Most people mess the call to action up by having something lame like 'call me for a consultation on XXX-XXXX-XXXX. And that is why I've dedicated the last page of the report to sell the offline business owner on the huge benefits of having a consultation from you. The purpose of the report is to get people calling you and a strong call to action is vital to get your phone ringing. Thanks again for your feedback Holly and I hope that you benefit greatly from the resources and that hot prospects begin phoning you to buy your web services. I hesitated about buying this report from Shaun, 8 pages for $27. There are many other Offline reports for about $10 & I've bought many of them. I went ahead & just bought the report .... and, it's the best $27 I spent on offline marketing material, bar none! Well written & documented. It should help anyone to sell their offline services. |

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback on your experiences with this report. I'm glad that you overcome your hesitation and are happy with your purchase. At first blush, I can understand how people could hesitate at the $27 price tag for 8 pages. However, this package is more than just 8 pages... It's a distilation of over 8 years of my experience selling to offline business owners in the real world and applying some copywriting skills to create a report that does the most important thing: get people to pick up the phone and contact you. Sure there are cheaper reports out there but I don't know if the authors are advanced practitioners with real world experience too. Thanks again for your positive feedback Joel and I hope that you benefit greatly from the package now and into the future too. Dedicated to your success, *Shaun O'Reilly

| Shaun: Very well written. Love the statistics and the report is very thorough given the 8 page report. I liked the fact what you spell out what you will cover in the meeting when they book the appointment as well as the lead capture page. Very timely report that all business owners need to read. This report will further brand yourself as the expert as well as get business owners to call you to set up multiple appointments. Definately worth the $27. Nice job Shaun! Much continued success, Chris Negro |

It's essential that you let offline business owners know roughly what will be covered in a complimentary consultation with them. They're busy people and need to know that you respect their time and you need to spell out what they'll get from an exploratory session with you. And yes - the report has been designed to position you more as a knowledgable expert by leveraging the credibility and authority of other people and organizations. This is crucial especially if someone is new and doesn't feel confident or credible. Glad you liked the report and I'm sure that it will help you to get hot prospects calling you now and long into the future. Dedicated to your success, *Shaun O'Reilly

Shaun, I have no doubt the report is excellent, as you are very knowledgable in this area. My question is, considering you say "Use a Simple Report to Get Prospects Calling You" how do you get the report in front of prospective clients to begin with? Thanks! |

Thank you for your question. The method you use to get the report into the hands of offline business owners will depend upon your choice of target market. For example, I target one niche internationally using mainly the Internet. Therefore in my case I drive traffic to a lead capture page to get them to sign-up for the report. However a lot of people choose to focus on targeting a local market. In this case there are many options: - Send out the printed report to local business owners - Give out the report to business owners at local networking meetings (e.g. Chamber of Commerce, etc). This can be sent as part of the follow-up afterwards. - Give the report out during workshops/presentations if you're already doing these as part of your marketing efforts. In fact the report can be part of the presentation. - Get local PR and include the offer of the report in the resource box. For those who are cold calling in person or over the phone the report can be an excellent tool for effective follow-up. These are just some examples. I hope you find this useful. Just a quick question before I pick this up. I am running a 1 day seminar for offline business owners and I am putting together some type of packet for my sales team to use when they are out and getting people signed up. How customized is this report to 1on1 consultations? Can it easily be adapted to be reworded for an offline seminar/workshop? Thanks |

it here... The overall aim of the report is to effectively sell offline business owners on the tremendous benefits of buying web services. In the case of this specific report, the objective is to get offline business owners to call you to request a one-on-one consultation to move them closer to the sale. There's no reason why this report couldn't be tweaked so that the call to action is that they contact you (or your team) to request a place on your seminar. Then you can use your seminar to move them one step closer to the sale. This would involve just modifying the last page of the report which has the strong call to action. So the call to action would change from requesting a consultation to requesting a seat on your seminar. Here's what I'd suggest... Get the report and take a look through it and only then decide if it meets your needs. If it does, great. If it doesn't just let me know and I'll issue you with a prompt refund - and that's a promise. The package is instructive on how to effectively sell online services to offline business owners so I'm sure that you and your team will benefit from the contents. The content may also give you some food for thought for how to effectively structure your seminar to increase the number of people who buy your services afterwards. I hope this answers your question stayfocused. Dedicated to your success, *Shaun O'Reilly

Shaun Thanks for the reply. I am not worried about a refund because I am sure I will use the report in my business either way. I am in the process of setting up my seminar so I wanted to make sure it is something I can tweak and use right away. I have a bad habit of buying everything there is about the offline niche and get distracted from what I am doing right now. Hence my username....... I will leave you some feedback once I get done reading it. Thanks for taking the time to answer, Jason |

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback and I'm glad that you found that the report was well written. Yes - every fact on how offline business owners can benefit from online services is backed up with solid proof from external sources such as Google, comScore, Ogilvy and Mather, etc. I did this because some offline business owners can be a skeptical bunch. They're looking for SOLID proof that online marketing works and won't just listen to big mouth claims. That's why I went to great lengths to get statements from credible sources to back-up every claim and prove the case to even the most skeptical business owner. Many offline business owners are more cautious on spending money in the recession so you really need to prove your claims beyond reasonable doubt and lead them to conclude that they'd be crazy not to buy your web services. I'm glad you got value from the package anyways - from one Shaun to another Shawn ![]() Dedicated to your success, *Shaun O'Reilly

Yep, EXCELLENT and very professional report. It's become traditional for people to ask that you post a review of their product here on the forum after you purchase, and I think a lot of the time that the reviewer may not have the expertise to really know if what they're reviewing is actually a good or bad product. I check out a lot of these WSO's and many of them are just fluffy. They sound good but won't really work the way they're intended or promoted. Everyone likes to post and be helpful and pat the other guy on the back but it's just a lot of feel good backslapping. However, Shaun has not asked this of me and I don't know him except from the posts he's made on the forum. You will easily get 10 times your $27 very quickly IF you put it into play.

Thanks for taking the time to let people know what you think about the quality of the report. I'm glad that you found it to be excellent and professional. I agree with you about the WSO testimonials too. I prefer to use unsolicited testimonials because they carry more weight and are more genuine than the normal variety. I'd much prefer to have 10 solid, credible, unsolicited testimonials than 100 solicited testimonials. All of the comments from kind Warriors within this thread have been 100% spontaneous and unprompted by me. When you produce quality work, people can't help but tell others about it - from their own volition. P.S. An early mentor of mine taught me a very valuable lesson on testimonials and here it is... "Testimonials are assets for your business" Testimonials are so powerful because people will be more likely to believe what your customers say, rather than what you say as a seller. Thanks again for your comments sb. Dedicated to your success, *Shaun O'Reilly

Hi Shaun, Your report and other resources in this WSO are awesome. I believe what you've just given me will be a major part of my marketing startegy during the next few months. I'm in New Zealand, building websites for local businesses and helping them to sell on the Internet. Your report is just as relevant over here, with a few minor edits to localise it to the New Zealand marketplace. Many thanks once again. Chris |

Shaun, Great report. But the most value I got out of it is you explaining (in the video & bonus report) the psychology of why the report is structured the way it is. This will work for any report in any niche that someone may want to create. Well Done, Cynthia |

Thank you for your purchase and taking the time to post your feedback on the value of the report and video for you. I'm glad that you liked the video and bonus report where I explained the psychology behind the structure of the report. To me this is vital and it's a major reason why the report converts so well. Once you know how the typical offline prospect thinks, you can then tailor your approach to suit them better. For example, most offline business owners are a skeptical bunch so it's vital that you provide solid proof that your web services work. And that is why I provide statistics and quotes from widely respected people and organizations to prove the efficacy of online marketing. Also, when you know the psychology behind the report, it puts you in a better position to use that knowledge in selling your web services effectively. And you can even use the psychological principles to create your own reports and email follow-up series for yourself too. Thanks for your idea of applying the principles to other niches - I hadn't thought of that! Thanks again for posting your comments Cynthia and I wish you the best of success. I just bought your report and found it very helpful. However, I am somewhat confused. You say that you will discuss the top 3 ways to market an offline business on the Internet starting on page 6. However, on page 6 you're still talking about the 4 reasons to market on the Net. So where is the info on the top 3 ways to market on the Net? Did I miss something? The rest of the report is excellent but I feel like somehow I missed some of the important information I need. Thanks for your response.

Great info!! Here's my 2 cents: I love online classifieds! Most of the time, you have to hunt your animals in their native habitat. If they are not internet types, then they think craigslist IS the internet and often theat's where you will catch their attention. |

Hey Shaun, Thanks for the response. I went back and re-read the page 6 content and had no problem finding the 3 things you offer to market. I was just looking for subheadlines that denoted them and not looking for them in the text. Love the product and really find it useful. Thanks, |

Firstly thank you for your purchase and I'm sorry that the automatic download did not go smoothly for you. I've just e-mailed you the download link to you manually via DLGuard. I'm not sure what happened there as the other purchases have gone through automatically. Sometimes PayPal hangs up on sending the confirmation back to DLGuard so I guess that may have caused the challenge or something else. Again, I apologize for the inconvenience and I'll also PM you with the download link so that you can be doubly sure to receive your link and gain access to your product right away. Firstly, thank you for purchasing the Recession-Proof report and I hope that you benefit from it. Regarding your question about the '3 Ways' I'll PM you later with them in detail. (I'm actually on the road at the moment and responding to you via my iPhone so I don't have the report in front of me right now). I promise that I'll get back to you as soon as I get back home OK? (in around 2-3 hours). Dedicated to your success, Shaun

Hi Shawn, I purchased your report and I must say that it is excellent and very well put together! I was wondering if you were planning on updating this report for the current economic climate and statistics since things have changed some since your wrote it? I would gladly pay for the report twice for this as well. It's that good! Also, are you still selling your niche autoresponder series? Thanks, nomadic1 |

Thank you for purchasing the report and providing positive feedback on the excellence of the content. I aim to please :-) I hadn't thought of updating the statistics contained within the report until you mentioned it. The statistics were up to date when I released the report last year. I'll take a look at what's involved and then get back to you via PM. I'll also respond to your question about the Niche Autoresponder System via PM too. Speak soon. Dedicated to your success, *Shaun O'Reilly

I'm looking to buy your report. Having a updated version for 2010 would really be nice.
