I read Dana’s Twitter Gold Rush yesterday morning my time and created an account at Twitter. Following her plan, a little over 24 hours later, I’ve already got 388 followers and more coming in hourly.

This report is straightforward, no fluff and by following her suggestions, it’s easy to join twitter and get right up to speed. Wow, those are two seriously respected guys who've chimed in with a testimonial.

I joined Twitter less than two hours ago, and at the moment I've got ONE guy following me, and I am following him.

To be honest, I haven't got a clue how I even managed that. I haven't contacted him at all, although I do know who he is (he's actually rather well known around these parts...)

Twitter is a great way to interact with people. I was on it when a friend has a disaster happen, and immediately the twitter family were there with help and support.

What has that to do with Dana's book? Everything. If you are not using Twitter, then you are losing out big time. Not just leaving money on the table, but missing out on family which will help and support you. Support you when you release a new product, but also support you when you have those down days.

Darn you Dana! You're making me obsessed with Twitter, LOL

I was running some numbers this morning and I *THINK* that less than 4% of Twitterers are actually using it for marketing purposes. And of those marketing, I'm seeing less than 1% doing it effectively.

That's based on some preliminary data I've collected, but I think that despite it's popularity, Twitter is largely untapped generally speaking. There is a huge opportunity here that can be exploited effectively

As someone who first posted my first Tweet on August 20th, Twitter is definetely a new technique I'm using in my arsenol.

But, within just that 2 weeks I've generated more sales and more interest with my video marketing product than through doing anything else. And...to this day I've still NEVER directly tweeted about it!
