right to point, which I liked - no fluff or filler just do this, do
that in easy to understand terms so newbies can get it. There are a
few basic things that I knew already, as would most who have done a

I have just read the eBook and implemented some of the backlinking strategies for my own sites. There are some excellent free tools in the guide I wished I would have known about sooner. The tools are going to save a huge amount of time when it comes to finding good links and spying on competitors. I've used expensive SEO software in the past, but now will be using these tools to replace some of the things I would normally use the software for because they work better. If you're expecting a 100 page detailed ebook on backlinking techniques and SEO in general then you'll be disappointed. The guide is short and to the point, but very powerful. If you want to save a ton of time finding good backlinks and spying on your competitors then this guide is well worth the price.

You make a very valid point there Louis.

I recentluy purchased seoelite and need to file for a refund request as to be honest it sucks... really badly! For $47 a month or $167 one time fee its total crap. My WSO here does most of what they does and quicker.

The google sandbox for some people is a myth and other is not. So i don't really go into detail about it.

If your sites new then build a web 2.0 ring around it and get those backlinks to those sites first which will filter down slowly to your main site and push its ranking up more naturally.

But ive never really done just that before and stick my high pr .edu and .gov backlinks on every single site/article/webpage etc etc as soon as i find time to.

Hey,

You can never ever tell from being given how many competing sites there are (in quotes or without quotes) how many backlinks you need.

The first part of the ebook which talks about competition anlysis will give you a good idea on how many backlinks you will need to out rank the first site's for that keyphrase and also give you many sources to get backlinks from too.

Time wise depends how quickly you can get backlinks and also how long it will take for those backlinks to get indexed for which in the reviewers bonus section i show you how to speed that process up.

Excellent report. Well worth the money.

Anybody doubting the value of edu and gov back-links, most SEO analysis counts these as a separate parameter. That should tell you how much these links are worth.

Couple of points:
The add-on for FireFox you suggest is very nice. Big time saver. Don't know if it's the same for everybody but to get the results I have to right-click the icon, not left-click as you mention in the report. Small point I know so apologies if it comes across as nitpicking.

The second point refers to your comment about staying away from certain keyword phrases after you do the analysis, if the number of back-links coming back it too high. I would disagree with this. Your excellent report shows where the competition are getting their back-links from, so copy them. Plus a lot of these will be very low quality or from the same domain.

One niche I'm getting into is pretty competitive. High volume searches, high paying keywords and most importantly buying keywords.

I've been working on my site for this niche for about 3 months now. Currently at 1170 pages.

From the analysis you describe, the top ranked website has 1326 incoming links. I followed your excellent advice and checked the quality of the links. CRAP.

I'll be knocking them off with about 100 good quality links. Ok, my site has very good on-page SEO and it's been themed very well, but looking at the analysis method you outline, a piece of cake to get the top spot for this.

Quality ain't the same as quantity, so they'll be in for a shock when my links start going up.

Just thought I'd jump in here with a small clarification.

Seems to be a bit of confusion regarding the Google Sandbox effect.

Simple solution to that. Build a few decent links to your site, wait till these show up in Google, then submit your Google site-map. Do it this way and avoid the sandbox. Submit the site-map then build back-links and you're almost certain to be playing in the sand for a while.

Back-links, then site-map.

Very valid point there but also utter crap.

If you ran a tool like xrumer and got 1000 backlinks a day to your site then you would be de-indexed and probably have your site banned in google completely.

Even if you outsourced all your backlinks to a team of 100 people to make 100 sites each then you would still get banned.

It just doesn't work like that.

I never make more than 50 backlinks a day. With 30 or so being rss and social bookmarking. Plus i never ping them all so it takes them a while to be found and so is not like i made 50 in that one day and looks like i spread them out.

Im sure someone with a bit more time on their hands can prove this to everyone. Plus the breaking news type stories start off on news sites with authority and then filter down to blog's etc etc etc. Then finnally to brand new sites that were made for the sole purpose of ranking for that highly searched keyphrase.

Just had another PM with a review. So here it is!

I've had to PM you as I'm yet to make 30 posts. I tend to observe and or consume information quietly. However, when I receive some really good no nonsense information I'm very keen to say hello and thank you.

I found your WSO after being delighted with Mark's "Backlink Bully".The two WSOs go together nicely.

Of particular value to me was bonus section. I have already run some tests (my experiment took all of 5 minutes by the way) and found a couple of .edu sites that will suit me nicely
In the particular niche I experimented with .gov sites were harder to find. However, thinking laterally looking at higher level and related keyword terms produced the gold. I also suggest to folks to have a good look at all the posts on the sites they find, as often the Admin's write on all sorts of topics. Handy (one can feel good about relevancy and adding value)

Great stuff and I recommend folks actually test some of the bonus tips, otherwise they could underestimate and dismiss the potential of this report due to its brevity.

The $17 was a starting price for people who took the gamble while there were limited reviews and social proof!
