The cover creator was a WSO at another time and can be viewed here:

I sat down to provide a review of this WSO with a plan to read through the material in one sitting and give my opinion. Didn't quite work out that way. Mike is a writer's writer and frequently references literary giants and dissects famous quotes. I found myself fully involved in reading the prose and the examples - this is not a book to skim quickly.

Mike offers amazing insight into character development and how to go about creating fictional people that readers can identify with and either love or hate. He covers so many practical aspects of writing fiction that you need to take notes or mark highlights as you go through the book.

My own favorite sections were on the practical aspects of writing believable stories. As an avid reader myself, I've often noticed puzzling discrepancies in the story line. It'[s common with new writers who haven't taken the time to think about the detail such as direction or weather patterns or similar elements that push the story forward. Then there are authors who are so caught up their story they forget to set time paramaters for days or weeks....or allow time to get from one place to another.

Mike has written a book that's an interesting read but also a good reference work. I expect I will read the chapter on building 'characters' many times in the future to check myself and refresh my thinking.

I will also refer to the smaller "rule book" going forward. Many practical and easy to follow suggestions on that list.

My review is based on the final draft of the ebooks in the WSO. I have not seen the bonuses or the software as yet - but I do intend to give them a go myself. I seldom recommend a WSO - but I recommend this one highly.

It's definitely written for authors but if you are on the fence about writing fiction for Kindle - this WSO may well provide the impetus you need. If you are an experienced author, you'll pick up new tips and ideas as Mike as covered a lot of ground in this WSO.

Reading this book will make me a better writer. I have no doubt of that.
