Default [KINDLE] Microsoft Word Kindle Template - Get Perfectly Formatted Kindle Books Every Single Time!

Microsoft Word Kindle Template Gives You Perfect Kindle Formatting!

LATEST UPDATE: ***Our Kindle Template for Word was updated on March 14th, 2014!*** We have been in business over 3 years and many thousands of books have been successfully published using our best selling Ebook Template.

For those who don't have Microsoft Word, we now have an Open Office Kindle Ebook Template! It has ALL of the same features as our Word Template below and it's the ONLY thing you need for perfectly formatted Ebooks including fully click-able links and Table of Contents. Nothing else comes even close. I have added the order button for the Open Office version below the Word version in this post.

This WSO is going to be short and sweet…..

If you want to create Kindle Ebooks, you need to create books that format correctly and look great on the Kindle or else you will get lots of returns, customer complaints, or no sales at all.

My template will give you formatting and layout that is just as good as the New York Times Bestsellers on the Kindle! You buy the template once and use it on an unlimited amount of books forever.

There were various free and paid methods out there for converting your documents to Kindle format but none of them were very good and because of that, I created my own Kindle template for Microsoft Word so I could be guaranteed perfect ebook formatting every single time, quickly and easily.

Here is how my Kindle Template works:

1. You need any version of Microsoft Word

2. Simply paste your text into my specially formatted Microsoft Word Kindle Template, ensure that the styles were applied properly, and upload to Amazon.

I have done this many times and using my template will give you a perfectly formatted Kindle Ebook that looks just as good as a New York Times Bestseller, every single time.

In addition to the template, I also include 10 tutorial videos that take you step by step through the entire process and teach you everything that you need to know to ensure that you get a perfect Kindle format.

You can use this template on your own books or charge people to convert their books for them as well. There are many people paying $100-$300 PER TITLE to have their text converted to Kindle format so in addition to converting your own books, this could be a service that you charge others for!

My Special Template Has:

  • Cover Page
  • Title Page
  • Copyright Page
  • Table Of Contents - Dynamically Generated and with page numbers!
  • Dedication Page
  • Chapter Pages
  • About The Author Page
  • Back Cover Page

Why do I use and recommend Microsoft Word?

1. Amanda Hocking uses Microsoft Word to write all of her books and if she is using it I figured that must be a good thing.

2. Most importantly, The combination of Microsoft Word and my special template gives me perfect code and perfect formatting every single time. It's the quickest, easiest, and best way to convert books to Kindle format when you use my special template.

I have seen competitors charge anywhere from $100-$300 for a Kindle Template.

On my website: Ebook Templates And Kindle Templates Supersite, my regular price is $87 which includes the template as well as the 10 step by step tutorial videos and at that price it's a GREAT deal.

However, for a limited time and for this WSO only, my price is a one time price of only $67!

You will receive my specially formatted template as well as access to the 10 tutorial videos that take you step by step through the process of using the template and uploading your book to Amazon.

Once you have this template, you will be able to have perfectly formatted Kindle ebooks quickly and easily. In addition, you can also format books for others as a service. You can use this template on as many books as you want!

Update: January 14, 2012: Yes, our Template works perfectly for the new Kindle Fire and gives you perfect formats and a clickable Table of Contents on ALL Kindle devices and Apps. We are the #1 Kindle Template on the Internet.

Check Out A Few Of Our Recent Testimonials:

I was hoping to see an example of what the template
looked like or maybe a video of how it is used.

Rick,
That is really strange...we had a Youtube video on our home page but now it is gone! Sorry about that, I re-posted the video which I think will show you what you want to see. Let me know if it doesn't answer your questions though.

Thanks.

Paul, do you go through the html conversion process and removing the MS Word clutter - do you use a special tool or help people do it manually?

Cheers,

Jeff

Sorry, I didn't see this until today. My template handles all of the conversion and automatically gets rid of the clutter.

I have one question, when you show the preview on your video, the formatting of the book, in the kindle preview text seems to run to the end of each page and there doesn't seem to be any formatting. ie the text is tricky to read.

Is this just the issue with the Kindle preview that it doesn't show a margin left and right so the text seems to fill the screen. is this the normal when one uses the preview ?

I have formatted a document for a client but looking in the preview it does what your example does - I was wondering is this just the preview function and it will look ok when published..

I don't want to purchase a template and get what I already have, maybe its just I don't understand what the preview function is doing ?

regards
Andrew

No worries, it's there if you need it.

Also, I have had a few people ask me about success rates with my template converting to Kindle. Using my method and template, it converts perfectly every single time...100%.

Hi Paul,

Does your templates include a method to create a proper toc.ncx file which is required to have a fully working Table of Contents in Kindles menu?

Most Word templates make the formatting work by forcing you to use the correct styles but don't really handle the creation of a toc.ncx file.

Also, you say that you Dynamically Generate page numbers which is NOT a good idea for eReaders since the text flows based on the font the user sets and page numbers make absolutely no sense whatsoever.

I'm trying to figure out what would make your templates worth $67 when there are other templates and tools available for far less?

Hi, thanks for the question.

Using this Kindle Template gives you a perfect table of contents every time and it is fully clickable and works in the Kindle menu on every device. You are correct about most Word Templates not doing this and it's why I created my own because I needed something that was easy and that worked on every Kindle device.

As far as the page numbers, I never use them because the Kindle doesn't. Some people still want them so it's an option, but the default is no page numbers.

In regards to your last question about what makes my Template worth $67...It's actually worth much more than that. I won't go into selling mode here but many people pay over a hundred dollars to have someone convert one book for them while using this Template, they can create an unlimited number of books.

There are many Template copycats out there but they have major issues and it's why I created my own. Some have you use 2-3 different programs (mine only uses Word, nothing else), most other Templates don't work well - they may format ok for one device (like a Kindle App) but look horrible on the actual Kindle, (my Template looks and formats perfectly on every device and App), most other Templates don't do the table of contents correctly so it may show up as a clickable toc in the template but on the Kindle it does not work while my Template always produces a perfectly formatted clickable toc.

I could go on and on because I am passionate about this kind of stuff but I won't. Just make sure that whatever you do, convert and format your book for ALL devices (all Kindle devices and Kindle Apps) because there is nothing that will kill your sales and ruin all of the hard work of writing a book faster than a poorly formatted book.

Hi
A few questions about links, videos etc. I have a music how to guide which contains many pictures and you tube links, ideal for Ibook author and the Ipad but something I`ve disregarded s it is far too complicated to publish from Europe.

How would I handle this with a bog standard kindle as it doesn`t handle video.

Can you view web pages on it?

Is the Kindle fire much more suited to my needs?

If so I will seriously consider your template.

Allan,

Standard Kindles can view webpages but not video. You can have clickable links that open to any web or blog page with no issues. If they are reading your Kindle book on their iPad/iPhone, PC, Mac, Kindle Fire, or Android Device, you can link out to the video and they can view it that way. On the standard Kindle, they will see your page you link to but would not see the video from that device.

You could make this work with images and clickable links within the book and a message that they will need to watch the videos from their computer etc.

Let me know if you have more questions.

Will this also work for the nook?

Also what format do you need to save in (.doc or .html)?

Thanks,

They both have the same features but if you have both Word and Open Office, I'd go with the Word version. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks for the great questions...

Our Template works on every version of Word (new and old) for both the PC and Mac. Apple Pages is a little bit weird when it comes to this so I'd recommend Word. Alternatively, we also have a Template that is for Open Office which is a free program.

I've received some questions recently so thought I would answer for all below:

"Is your Kindle Template up to date?"

Absolutely! In fact, we just had a major update a few weeks ago but I will also update the Template anytime Amazon makes changes.

"How does your Template differ from other templates and formatting methods out there?"

There are many ways are Template differs. I'll name a few:

* It's a mature Template that has been out there (and selling well) for over 2 years
* Fully updated and gives you perfect formatting on every Kindle device and App
* Clickable Table of Contents
* Quick and easy - All you need is Microsoft Word (or Open Office) and nothing else. No messing around with multiple programs trying to get formatted correctly.
* Works with all versions of Microsoft Word on both the PC and Mac
* You don't just get the Template, you also get our step-by-step videos that walk you by the hand and show you exactly what to do (and what NOT do do!)
* It has been tested and used for 2+ years and works perfectly, every time

Don't trust the imitators...There is a pretty new WSO on here right now that is a "Kindle Template" and they actually have you paste your book cover inside the Template lol. Well, that actually gives you a duplicate cover and looks horrible on the Kindle. You aren't supposed to paste your cover in the Template or book file...Amazon changed that months ago.

Other "Templates" or methods promise you a clickable Table of Contents but they don't actually work. I've had many authors buy our Template after wasting money and being disappointed with other methods. Bad formatting gives you bad reviews, kills your sales, and ruins all of your hard work. You don't have these types of issues with our proven Template.

How does it handle any images in the original document?
Does it bring them across correctly?

Also what about the table of contents I created in Word?

Troy,
Our Template is great for images. In fact, we've even had children's authors do picture books using our Template.

If you are bringing images in from another document, I'd recommend inserting them in individually instead of copying and pasting lots of images at once because doing them individually will give you a better format and look.

Two quick questions:

1. Probably silly, although does this work for fiction novels?

2. I just want to confirm that this is an actually word doc template that I will be typing into and not some conversion software?

Thanks for your time.

Great questions Jeff!

1. Yes, we've actually had some best selling Fiction authors use our Template and it works great for Fiction because it's very flexible.

2. Yes, this is a Word Template and is 100% Microsoft Word with no other software or conversions needed or used.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thank you.

Paul -

Just downloaded and started using this template in under 2 minutes.

This is WAY better than I expected.

If you are on the fence about this, get off and GO GET THIS TEMPLATE.

It will save you tons of time and frustration.

If you are serious about publishing on Kindle THIS is the template to use.

Thanks again Paul for the awesome template and for the great customer service!

Take care

Jeff

Almost ready to worry about formatting my first book!

I swiped this quote from another thread. Can you do this with your template, please?

Then when people look at your book preview, they will skip over the junk at the very beginning and will go directly to the Intro or where ever you want them to go. Easy, but it works!
Thanks

Absolutely! You can set any page of your book to be the automatic start/opening page and it IS a great strategy to use for sure.

The open office template i just ordered from you has the cover on the first page in the template. Why?

That was the old version of the Template. I just checked our host and it was a caching issue. All fixed now, I double checked the download link and also the book cover video (video #2) as well.

Sorry about the mix up, you can re-download the file.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you!

Paul,

I have just finished my first short story using your template.

Let's just say without it I would never have completed and published it.

It was easily the best money I have spent on my writing journey and would pay at least three times the amount your charging and feel lucky to have found it when I did.

Thanks for creating such a wonderful and useful tool.

Writers, if you do not have this, go get it NOW!

You can thank me later.

Take care

Hi Paul

I am about to dive in and buy your template.

I have written my book using an old version of Word, 2000 I think, so am I right in thinking I'd be better off with the word version?

Which is better? I know that Word puts in formatting everywhere...

Also, I need to use two fonts in the book, to differentiate an email exchange. Is this possible with Kindle and/or your template?

Thanks

Peter

Hi Peter! Our Template works with any version of Word (both PC and Mac) but using a later version of Word would make things a little quicker, easier, and better for you. Also, no problem with the fonts etc. You can also use bold and italics to differentiate things as well.

Thanks. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Thanks for that, Paul.

Would I be better off switching to Open Office rather than continuing with my old version of Word, do you think?

I'd then need your Open Office template instead?

No, you shouldn't have any problems using the old version of Word. The only real differences will be that the Microsoft Word commands and menu's will look a little different and may be in a different place than what's show in my step-by-step videos.

Thanks, Paul. I've dived in and bought the Word template.

I've since spent a very enjoyable hour or so watching the videos. Very impressive.

The only issue I am going to have with my ancient version of Word, I think, is that I do not get a box popping up when I paste text into the template, so I get no 'keep text only' option

I'm assuming the way round this is just to highlight the pasted text and select the AIC Chapter Text style?

Also, does the justifying of the text happen automatically in AIC Chapter Text?

Finally, can I select any fonts of my choice?

Kind regards

Peter

Peter,
Thanks so much for the purchase and the kind words! I'll answer your questions below:

In regards to the "paste text only", I can't be sure because I don't have a copy of Word 2000 but I did find this article from Microsoft which shows how to do it:

Paste text without the formatting into a Word document - Word - Office.com

Another thing you can do is to paste into a notepad doc and then paste into Word. I think Word 2003 and beyond implemented the easier paste text only command.

To justify the text, you can just hit the justify button on the Word toolbar. If need be, I can create a special style for you called "AIC Chapter Text Justified" which will auto justify everything without having to click the button on the toolbar. Let me know if you'd like me to add that.

As for fonts, yes you can select any font but keep in mind that Amazon only shows certain fonts on the Kindle so depending on your font choice, it will default to the standard fonts for the Kindle.

If you run into any trouble and/or would like me to take a look at anything, you can create a ticket here and I'll respond fast.

Thanks again!

I have purchased several software applications to format Kindle and none of them worked for me. The formatting is what has always held me back from doing anything more with Amazon. When I saw Jeffís review above, I decided to take a chance and buy this. (Thank you Jeff!)It is all he said and more!

I used this template this weekend and have now put up 3 perfectly formatted books. I canít tell you how easy Paul has made this Ė itís so user friendly! I did have one issue with bullet points and contacted support. Within 24 hours, Paul created a whole new style just for bullet points and made a video showing how to use it. Superb product and phenomenal customer support! If you do anything with Kindle, get this!

You are right, this makes the publishing process absolutely FOOL-PROOF. The template along with the 12 videos in the member area are the only thing you need to publish on Kindle.

I have a friend who has paid for two different people to convert his book to a format that works for kindle and has flushed $250 down the drain. Neither worked.

He finally took my advise and purchased the template and couldn't be happier.

Once again if you are a writer, get this template and get back to writing!

Take care
