This list is great! I'm looking forward to using the free OTO! Nice surprise, that.

One question though - does an exact match beat out Amazon's listings, because Amazon is often the top 3 or 4 listings on specific products.

I'm looking forward to using the free OTO! Nice surprise, that.

I can't believe I'm one of the first to leave a message on Veit's thread. Come on you guys, it's Veit!! What he says goes.

I just got my list(s). Boy is this going to keep me busy tonight. I've recruited help to go through it and pick out gems that I can work with. There is so much here I'm spoilt for choice. We not only get the keywords that are the domain names, which have the EMD available, he gives us the products, the links, PLUS a brilliant unanounced bonus.

Don't buy it until I pick out the gems I want for myself first.

Veit,

This is a CRAZY value. You are nuts to be giving this away for this price.

Seriously, dude, what were you thinking?

If anyone reading this is on the fence, all I can say is JUST BUY IT NOW. The unannounced bonus alone is worth the price of the whole package.

Re: Longtail Buying Keywords Bombshell

well, I've just hit the wrong button and my long reply disappeared.

So, here's a summary of my long reply:

1) psst, the free OTO is a suprise;-)
2) Amazon ranks for the exact terms that are the product description in Amazon, NOT because they're optimizing each product-page for that term and putting lots of backlinks in, but instead because the overall Amazon site has a lot of authority in the eyes of Google. Meaning: Amazon's on-page optimization is enough for Amazon to rank.
If you use a keyword that is sufficiently different from the one that's *exactly* on Amazon's site, then Google has to weigh up the options: Amazon's authority and on-page vs your kick-butt optimized site for a term that's NOT exactly on Amazon, but 100% on your site.
Now, even if you're competing with Amazon on the same page, there is plenty of traffic that's not quite ready to jump onto Amazon and buy, they need a little more information, and that's where you come in!

Yes, the majority of EMDs have a product name in it, simply because that's what people are looking for.
Here is my "don't take this as legal advice" *opinion* based on personal experience:

most companies are glad when you help sell their stuff and won't bother you if you have a site with their product name in it.
For big projects I usually contact the manufacturers first, and so far I've had one 'NO' (the good folk of BeachBody didn't like me using 10minutetrainer) and another one was a maybe, they first wanted to see that I'm representing their product in a way that's in line with their image (as in: no use of "it's a scam"...).
Everybody else is just fine.
But like I said, that's not legal advice!

If you look at the examples above, I had a quick look at the top 100 results and I found sites with coleman lanterns, quite a few omega watches sites that are clearly selling replicas, and 2 "unofficial" Altec Lansing sites. All in plain view, so it doesn't look like they're being sued by the respective companies.

if all else fails, we can of course all go for the 14k gold bracelet....

Veit is one of the guys (& gals) whose list I don't mind being on. He adds value to every email he sends. He rarely sends an all out pitch fest and gives his reasoning behind every recommendation or warning about IM products. Getting on his list is a bonus that makes this WSO doubly worth picking up.

Am happily on Veit's list but Bob Voges has been keeping us alerted to this coming out. So I jumped on it right away through Bob. Both are on the short list of trusted, high-value WSO product producers.

Really, really appreciate that there's NO OTO and you get a surprise instead!!!

So grab this as quickly as you can.

I jumped all over this WSO. Especially since it is recommended by Norma Rickman.

The secret OTO isn't too bad either.

Hello Veit,

You always provide great products and services for extreeeemely good value.

But ...
Your you've outdone yourself with this OTO.

Don't want to give it away but I'd love one of those funny German hosentrager trousers (even if it has a hole or two).

ANd the price is right too

Good on ya cobber

Hey there,

no they're not, as described above it doesn't make sense to limit yourself to the 'usual' 1000 searches per month.

Imagine you're selling yachts, you'd be very happy to make a single sale a year, right?

Same here, there are tons of terms that have low search volume but really high prices, so it doesn't make sense to threshold artificially at 1000 searches per month.

Will amazon issue an affiliate link to a domain that has a trademark name in it? If not is there a way around this? What a great price by the way!

Re: Longtail Buying Keywords Bombshell

ok, couple of remarks regarding the whole 'trademark' thing:

when setting up an Amazon account for the first time, make sure it's a totally innocent and half-way decent site to make it easier for Amazon to say 'yeah, this person looks legit, let's give them their affiliate account'.

Now, to the nitty-gritty of trademarks in domain-names (which obviously is NOT legal advice!):

have a look at e.g. this article here:

http://simmonstrialpractice.com/fair...ninth-circuit/

which is all about the 'fair' use of trademarked names in domain names.

the main findings are:

if it's obvious for the average person that this site is NOT about the main product, but a related product or service, then you're pretty much ok, as long as you're making a real effort on the site (which you should be anyway if you want to sell something;-) - meaning: don't be cyber-squatting.

So, having a site 'ipad2.com' is probably not cool, whereas 'ipad2reviews.com' probably is, as long as the site is about ipad 2 reviews.

If in doubt my advice would be to contact the trademark owner, simply because my personal experience so far has been very good, only one 'NO' so far.

Forgive me but the numbers don't seem to add up. I purchased and extracted 2 excel files. One has the Amazon Golden words. A category and a product within. You mention 1328 of these but the file only contains 125. As for the long tail buying keyword with an exact match domain, you say 100,000 plus, but the file only contains 6,537. What am I missing here? Did I get a bad download? Please advise.
Thanks...

Hey Jimp,

there are 2 folders, one for Excel, one in open document format.
Make sure you open these files in a spreadsheet, NOT in a wordprocessor!
the 6,537 are all the keywords that begin with the letter 'a', so at the bottom you *should* see a whole row of tabs, one per letter of the alphabet, plus another one for numbers.

Send me a PM with the version of Excel/Openoffice you're using and I'll have a look.

Veit
