Can we add are own content to the review product pages?
Can I add this to my existing blog that already has lots of content articles, if so would it better to add it on a sub domain or can I just create pages?
Can it be installed on a directory?
On the demo site, the product says review 0, but when you click on the reviews it shows 235 reviews. Will this be getting fixed?
Thanks

I just wanted to leave a short review here after I recieved the plugin (thanks for fast support!)

It seems to be a great plugin which really helps to publish an amazon affiliate site in no time. I still didn't manage to add images to the imported products, so I'm waiting for support again.

What I really would love to get are some detailed "How to set up..." videos for customers. It really takes time to figure out how to set up the ecommerce site with WooCommerce and Prosociate if you are not firm with eCommerce sites before. I'm no WordPress newbie, but it took some time to get it.

I also spotted an error message in the "checkout" page if you click there with an empty card. I saw it on my own page and on the demo site too. (It's a beta launch so I'm okay with some bugs ;-) )

So all in all I can say this REALLY is by far the best working amazon plugin I have used until this day and if they continue to have a good support and eliminate the bugs while they are reported I will use it as my number oine from now on!

P.S.: Will there be a discount for the developer version for existing customers when it comes out?

Very nice plugin :-).

1. What is the different to Shopperpress (Amazon import).
2. How are the prices always updated?

So far no support whatsoever either from here or directly from the website. Anyone has figured out how to pull content in using Amazon browsenodes rather than keywords? $39 wasted if it's not possible.

There's no way to enter browse nodes by ID. You can select a node to search in using the Category tree - click the triangles to open the nodes and see the sub-nodes.

What happens if you visit http://www.prosociate.com/order?

Make sure your browser has cookies enabled. If that doesn't help, send an e-mail to prosociate@soflyy.com and I'll e-mail you the plugin and give you a link to pay manually.

1. I can't do a feature-by-feature comparison since the products are very different. Prosociate is built specifically for building the best possible Amazon affiliate stores.

2. WP Cron - it's a feature of WordPress that runs in the background, automatically. Prosociate utilizes it to check Amazon's API for updated product data and prices, and then updates the products on your site with the new data.

Thanks for the comments, feedback, and discovering the bug with the empty cart/checkout page. We'll fix it.

You won't have to pay full price for the developer version if you've already bought the normal license. You will be able to upgrade for the difference in price.

Yes, you can add your own content.

You can add Prosociate to your existing site. It will play nicely with all your existing content. There's no need to add in on a subdomain or install it in a separate directory, even though you could do that.

Reviews - Amazon may provide the number of reviews through their API. I'm hoping that they do. If so, we will be able to correct the review count number.

Please give us a chance to respond. We're a team of two people. We provide support as fast as we can. It's not 24/7.

I last responded to support tickets sent to prosociate@soflyy.com not even 15 hours ago.

Right now, it is not possible to post products by specifying a browse node ID number, or to post products without specifying a keyword.

I'm definitely considering adding this in before 1.0 is released.

Providing a better and easier way to find products to post is one of the highest priorities.

There must be something I am missing. You say:
There's no way to enter browse nodes by ID. You can select a node to search in using the Category tree - click the triangles to open the nodes and see the sub-nodes.
so if I want to make a shop that sells Classical Music, I select Music>Classical in the category field, and what do I put in the 'keywords' field? (there's no keywords, I want to sell all Amazon's classical music CDs). With all the Amazon plugins I know I would simply use the classical music browsenode (85), what do we do with Prosociate??

PS I posted this before seeing your last reply. I noticed that if I put an asterisk in the field (instead of a keyword) I get them all. Any more elegant solution will be more than welcome.

You have to put something in the keywords field.

I noticed that if I put an asterisk in the field (instead of a keyword) I get them all
I didn't know that. I'm glad you figured it out, and thank you for sharing it. For now, just keep doing that.

Anyone here who used it with a Hostgator account? I'm thinking to get one, but only if it works. In the posts before I see only BlueHost mentioned to be working and my primary 1and1 Hosting Plan doesn't support URL-File access which seems to be needed...

Having good fun working with the beta version, well done guys at Prosociate.

My two main observations at present are:

- Lack of browsenode integration (important as the categories I can choose from aren't very good, I know this is an API issue but I would prefer to enter the browsenode of a category I have got from Amazon rather than try to find products using the category selector, I can mine down much better like this).

- Improved search options - It would be good to be able to filter between say 2 prices, or have the facility for negative and positive keyword searching.

Also, I haven't seen where the amazon reviews show, can you shed some light on this please.

Thanks

Hi again,

Getting a couple of issues with the plugin.

1 - When clicking through to checkout on amazon the prices are different to my site
2 - I am getting this error on some test products: The selected products doesn't have enough informaiton to be purchased through AmazonECS.

Hope that helps as part of beta testing

Same here. I have one product showing on my site for $150 but after adding to cart and switching over to Amazon, the price changes to $39.95.

On another note a suggestion for Soflyy, how about starting a Facebook group for those of us that have already purchased the product so that we can disgust these types of things?

Other than the price issue, I'm loving the plugin!

The reviews show in the Reviews tab on the individual product pages.

Thanks for the comments regarding browsenodes/search. Almost everyone wants this area of the plugin improved, so it is very high on the priority list.

These are definitely bugs in Prosociate. Can you tell me the exact products these issues are occurring for? If you want, you can PM me the links to the products on Amazon, or e-mail them to prosociate@soflyy.com.

Maybe after we release 1.0 we'll have a user forum on Prosociate.com, or a Facebook group.

Is there any way to get more than 100 items? Most keywords deliver up to several hundreds/ thousands results.

Not with one search. This is a limitation of Amazon's API, and not Prosociate. Amazon's API will only return the first 100 results, even if there are more than 100 products for a particular search.

To post more than 100 products, you'll have to make a new campaign and make changes to the search parameters - like changing the keywords or sort ordering.

Very impressed so far.
Couple of items priced incorrectly but all other areas seem ok.

Great plugin.

EDIT

Amazon category drop down listing could use some work. Still looking for video games.
Did a search in Electronics and PC category and it gives me everything but games
Category listing is Alphabetical and end with Wireless stuff with no 'V' option.

Granted this is in beta and discounted, I am curious if you guys are offering any discounts for current wp zon builder owners?

I actually built out a niche site using the Bazar theme and ended up removing all Ecommerce based add-ons. I decided to switch over to thesis because it just wasn't coming out the way I wanted it to but this plugin is making me think about switching back because of the seemless integration with Bazar and WooCommerce. I only purchased wp zon builder a few months ago, this is why I ask.

I decided to go ahead and buy the software, I was trying out the demo site and really like how the plugin integrates so well with Wordpress. If you guys happen to give discounts for wp zon builder owners please let me know, I won't be using that plugin any longer now that you guys are developing this.

So here a brief follow up of my results so far with this plugin. I ordered it a couple of hours ago and was able to authenticate the plugin, add my license key, Amazon API, tracking ID etc and start adding products. Using the Bazar Theme + WooCommerce and about 20 products added my site looks like a super professional 2013 eCommerce store.

What I like about this plugin so far:
-Embedded Amazon Reviews right on the product pages
-Easy to search by category and add products
-Seemless integration using the theme I’m using and super easy to setup.
-I can still add other pages to the store for content like reviews

Concerns I’m not sure about:
-I don’t know if having the Amazon reviews will appear as duplicate content or the products themselves for that matter.

Problems I found so far with the plugin itself:
-Prices are off for some products
-I added 23 products at once and the plugin got stuck at 87% with 20 of 23 products loaded.

I’ll be testing it more and adding a lot more products throughout the week.

Did a search in Electronics and PC category and it gives me everything but games
Category listing is Alphabetical and end with Wireless stuff with no 'V' option.
Pricing: that's definitely a bug. Thanks for the report.

Please send me a PM or e-mail prosociate@soflyy.com with the exact items that are showing incorrect prices.

Categories dropdown: Thanks for the suggestion. We're going to completely overhaul this before 1.0. It's not good at all. It's our number one complaint.

Not at this time. $39 is already a steal! Thanks for purchasing Prosociate anyway.

Thanks so much for the comments and bug reports.

Incorrect prices: please send me a PM or e-mail prosociate@soflyy.com with links to the products that have incorrect prices.

Stuck at 87%: please send me a PM or e-mail with the exact search keywords and category you selected and which products you selected (if it wasn't all the results).

The Amazon reviews are embedded in an IFrame, so they aren't part of your site content. The imported content from Amazon is definitely duplicate content - but whether Google will penalize you for it is another story.

Speaking from personal experience I believe duplicate content is mostly a myth, because I have been able to rank sites that consist of purely duplicate content very well in Google. I think there are other factors that are more important than your on-page content.

Hi Louis,

I purchased Prosociate a little while ago and like Dadhere (Rick) had mentioned earlier on in this thread, I cannot find any info on the YI Bazaar theme being licensed for multiple site use.

It appears that each $60.00 theme purchase is for a single end/store use (Theme Forest standard terms). Not that this is necessarily a bad thing as the YI Themes are absolutely beautiful as well as feature packed. I just thought that maybe I had missed something somewhere.

I have 54 amazon shops running on various platforms and would really like to streamline these into a single platform. I know you had mentioned several other Theme Forest offerings but could you suggest any other Themes that offer similar functionality and appearance to the YI Themes that also have multi-site/developer license options? (if you happen to know of any)

Thanks for your help, so far, Prosociate appears to be an incredible plugin.

Regards,

Paul

According to the source files in the theme and an e-mail from YIThemes, the theme code is GPL, which means you can use it on as many websites as you want.

I'm guessing that license would be for support, updates, and anything else YIThemes provides that isn't part of the theme.

Edit: I've contacted YIThemes for more details. While the license.txt file in the theme folder says GPL, the license file outside of the theme folder (maybe this applies to the included PSDs, etc.) says the PHP code in the theme is GPL, but the rest of the package is not.

Here's the e-mail from YIThemes:

This looks great but a couple of questions:
1. If I have a keyword in books, can I auto import the top 10 best sellers?
2. How does this differ from other woo commerce integrations like: WordPress - WooCommerce Amazon Affiliates - Wordpress Plugin | CodeCanyon
3. Will it work with WPRobot or other spinner to modify content so I don't get dinged by google? Can I add additional content to each post?
4. What if I import a product and it is no longer in stock on amazon? does it disappear? Would really appreciate some more detail on how this is better / differs from other products. Esp with automation and SEO
5. Finally, what if I decide to go a different route - can I capture the ASINS / Posts easily and migrate or am i "stuck".

I know some of these are tough questions, but I'm sure they are on other people's minds too.

I know some of these are tough questions, but I'm sure they are on other people's minds too.
1. You can order by "best selling" when searching in the Books category. Prosociate will make the posts one time. It won't automatically check for new best sellers on a schedule.

2. The three videos after the demo video in the first post show what is better about Prosociate.

3. You can add content to the posts. I'm not familiar with WP Robot or content spinners. Prosociate just creates normal WooCommerce Products so if you have a spinner that will work with a WooCommerce Product that you add manually it will work with Prosociate.

4. Prosociate constantly checks Amazon for the latest data and if a product is removed from Amazon, Prosociate will remove it from your website. If a product is out of stock on Amazon, Prosociate will mark it as out of stock on your website. This is all done automatically.

SEO: Prosociate will work with any WordPress plugin or theme - try using Yoast SEO or All In One SEO Pack. Both are free and very good.

5. There's no simple way to do that.

I hope this helps you decide, and if you want more details about anything please let me know.

Soflyy,
I'm about to pull the trigger on this, as I'm considering using this with a fishing tackle affiliate web site in mind. I own terminaltackle.com (parked right now), and I think this will work well in that realm. I just have to worry about traffic after I get the affiliate store in play.. (traffic: face-palm (AHH!!!))

Q: When this goes to 1.0 from the Beta, do people who purchase the beta edition get free upgrades to the 1.0 and beyond??
Thanks in advance.

Louis,

Once I add a product to my store, does Prosociate keep track of that so I do not add it again if I go search for more products?

thanks,

Soflyy - seems like an awesome plugin. I am using Sommerce theme from YI themes with the JigoShop plugin. Any feedback on whether or not this will work with Jigo instead of Woo? or should I just give it a shot?

I can tell you this. Don't worry about the duplicate content. I started using this about a week ago and after looking at my analytic stats, I have already started getting organic traffic from Google and Yahoo.

5 of the products I have listed are on the first page for those specific products. No sales yet... But I know they'll come!

It won't work with JigoShop. Use WooCommerce instead. You can use the Sommerce theme with WooCommerce anyway.

Unfortunately, no, Prosociate does not have built-in duplicate detection across multiple campaigns. Adding this feature is high on our list of priorities though.

Gents @ Soflyy,

I have used WP Zon in the past, so I was really excited about this new approach. I have successfully loaded Prosociate and everything looks great. I am struggling with a keyword issue. I am doing a lookup for a keyword (e.g. a certain brand of toy) and I only get 24 results in the "Toys" category in Prosociate. Doing the same search directly on Amazon yields 7,813 results in their "Toys & Games" category. I know there is a hard limit of 100 via the API, but I can't afford to add 24 at a time. Any suggestions / help would be greatly appreciated!

Also, I had an issue with an initial download, so I deleted everything out of the campaign. However, when I re-run the campaign, everything comes back into the new search, but when I try to re-post, nothing shows up.

UPDATE: Now I can't get anything new to show up on my site... even brand new searches.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi, I own a number of plugins for amazon including your old one. nice it was.

This new plugin looks close to what i was consider getting written myself!

can we bulk upload using ASIN numbers alone?

Are image imports work fine now and fixed Price updates?

Can I set the system so instead of adding to "you" cart I send them straight to amazon add to cart? as well as buy now and the ability to add to cart

Thanks

Send the exact keyword, category, and sort order you are using, and your WP admin login details to prosociate@soflyy.com and we will look into it.

ASIN - not yet, but we are going to add this.

Image imports work.

Prices currently work for the vast majority of products. We're releasing an update in the next few days which will fix the reported bugs about prices.

You do not have the option to disable the on-site cart.

Prosociate 0.9.6 is now available.

This is the 2nd beta release and fixes a number of minor bugs.

Notable fixes & enhancements:

* Added WP HTTP for some servers that have allow_url_fopen disabled
* Fixed images issue for certain products
* Fixed incorrect prices issue for certain products
* Fixed bug that caused posting process to stop before completion in some cases
* Fixed JavaScript error that broke WordPress menu/category re-ordering

You can upgrade to Prosociate 0.9.6 from the Plugins page of WordPress.

** This is related to the search issue**

I sent an email directly as well. The categories under toys are just a duplicate of the categories under electronics, so it looks like it's just pulling from the wrong structure.

Once that is fixed in the plugin, we should be good to go.

Thank you!

Hello Louis -

To start, let me say thanks for the excellent work that has gone into the beta. I just purchased yesterday, and have been able to figure out most of the setups, campaign creations, etc.

I am stumped on one thing though, which I cannot seem to figure out: When I add a new campaign and everything is loaded to my WP, Even though my post setting in the plugin is set to "now", and my date/time on the WP site are current to my location/timezone, what I am seeing is that the products are always scheduling to publish 4-6 hours into the future - not at the time I load. Draft settings are not being used either.

Any idea on why this is happening and can it be corrected on my end?

Thanks,
William Plante

Hey William,

It sounds like your server time settings are actually not correct.

That's OK though, you can work around them with Prosociate. On the Post Options tab of the New Campaign screen, set your post dates to "-24 hours"

This will ensure all your posts appear published now, instead of appearing as scheduled to be published in the future.

Hi Louis,

I've purchased your wpallimport, wizard cloak and now the prosociate and they are all outstanding. Please don't stop developing.

I'm testing the beta version of prosociate now and I'm trying to figure out how to get the aio_title /aio_description /aio_keywords in the products?
Is there a special procedure to get those Metas imported?

Thanks alot!

best
