Networking Skills: How to Get the Best Results from Networking

It's the offline missing link that takes all your offline ideas and matches them up with business owners who need them!

  • Have you ever struggled to get offline clients?
  • Do you always reach the gatekeeper or the voicemail but never get any further?
  • Do your flyers and leaflets seem to go straight into the trash?

If you've ever wondered how you can reach real business owners directly then networking is your answer.

People who network are often people just like you - small to medium size businesses who are looking to do more business.

And almost all the business people who go to networking meetings need help!

  • Their websites barely exist and the techie who sold them the website told them they'd been SEO'd. Which was actually code for "we've maybe installed Yoast but we haven't done anything with it".
  • Their internet marketing sucks.
  • Their Facebook page - if they've got one - is doing a great impression of being a ghost town and was last updated when it was created.
  • The content on their website is an "about us" page, a services page and a contact us page. At best.
  • They haven't got any special reports or giveaways and they don't have a clue how to use an autoresponder. Although they've probably signed up to Mailchimp for free.
  • Their website is mobile-hostile if it shows on a mobile phone at all.
  • And videos are a foreign land, reserved for Hollywood

They need near enough everything you've bought on various other WSOs. The ones that told you every business owner needs them but stopped short of showing you how to actually reach real business owners.

Which is where networking comes in.

The business owners (and they are nearly always business owners or at least decision makers) who attend know they need help.

Sure, they're hoping to sell stuff to you as well.

But if you can help them make extra sales, they're all ears.

There are network meetings everywhere.

  • Some start before the crack of dawn.
  • Some start for breakfast at around the time of the school run.
  • Some happen during the morning.
  • Some happen at lunch time.
  • Some happen late afternoon.
  • Some happen in the evening.

You can find them on places like Meetup (that works for lots of different interests, not just business, so it's worth checking out for niches).

Some networking groups (BNI for instance) charge an annual fee as well as a meeting fee. But they'll still welcome you for an initial meeting as they know that's the best way to get you hooked on their format.

Other networking groups just charge a meeting fee - the competition in networking is hotting up and that's happening a lot more.

Others are even less formal and so long as you buy a coffee or other drink, that's the entrance fee.

That's the beauty of networking - you really can choose the type of network you want to go to. Which, in turn, means you're choosing the type of businesses you want to reach.

But...

And there is a but...

You need to know how to work the room without being overpowering.

I've been to some networking meetings where there's a new person pushing the latest and greatest MLM program anyone has ever met and their pitch is that only a fool wouldn't want to sign up immediately. Those kind of people don't last long in networking and have an almost invisible exclusion zone around them from the moment they walk in the room.

Some people - and this can especially apply to techies and people who don't mix easily - stand in a corner, clutching a coffee and desperately hoping no-one will talk to them and that the meeting will be over soon.

Networking is a skill.

It's one you can learn...

And you can either learn it the hard way - by attending lots of meetings and adapting your style through trial and error over the coming weeks and months.

Or you can short cut the learning curve.

Imagine what it would be like if you could pick the brains of two successful networking people and pick up the tips and tricks they've learned over countless years of networking?

That's what two of us did recently.

We ran a 2 hour live (in person!) networking skills workshop.

Obviously that event is over.

But we recorded it.

And now you can get a copy!

  • You can get the full 2 hour audio of the workshop
  • And the 19,056 word transcript
  • And the 2 page bullet point handout that you can use as a quick blueprint reminder of the workshop as well as following along during the audio

During the workshop we covered a lot:

  • How to get the most out of the workshop and any other meeting - this powerful introduction will boost your productivity in any area of your life and is worth the price of this WSO alone
  • How to plan and prepare for your networking activities - planning and preparation is essential. This includes your "elevator pitch" which is the networking equivalent of the first impression you give people.
  • How to build up your confidence and make a great first impression - I'll admit it, I hate being the one to break the ice at networking events, parties or near enough anywhere else. But I've trained myself to get over that and (from the outside) you'd never know that was me. These insider tips work in the real world and will boost your confidence and sales!
  • Using the right body language, clothes and words - all these have a huge impact on your networking success. Get them wrong and you'll have an uphill struggle. Get them right (and you will once you've listened to this section!) and you're ahead of most of the room.
  • Following up - something most networkers neglect. In fact, most businesses don't follow up anywhere near as much as they should. It's generally thought that it takes at least 7 points of contact to make a sale. But most people give up after one or two attempts. You'll find out how to follow up like a pro! Without bugging your prospects!
  • Turning all of this into more sales - the whole point of networking unless you're just treating it as an expensive social club.

When you buy this offer, you'll get the full two hour recording.

You'll also get the full 19,056 word-for-word transcript.

And the two pages of bullet points that we covered.

All for an incredibly low price - much less than it cost to attend the live workshop.

There's also a 60 day, no quibble, money back guarantee. Which gives you plenty of time to put all the ideas and suggestions into practice and turn them into extra sales.

So if you've been looking for a way to turn all those offline ideas into actual cash, you've found it!

There are almost certainly networking meetings in your town or city that will fit in with your schedule and that are brim full of people who need your skills.

It's the perfect way to reach these people without gatekeepers, dropped calls, un-returned voicemails and all the other hurdles that appear.

You can listen to the MP3 audio anywhere - it's downloadable as well, so you're not stuck with a streaming audio that will only play on your computer, you can download the MP3 and play it on your journeys or while you're out getting exercise or anywhere else you choose.

You can read the transcript or print it out if that's how you prefer to read it.

You can refer to the bullet points time and time again - they're that powerful you may even pin them up on your wall so you can refer to them.

You can get all this instantly by clicking the buy button now!

Thanks Fergal

Meeting real people is something we neglect in internet marketing but I've found it quickly brings out sales angles that aren't always obvious online.

Thanks for the purchase.

All seems to be working fine when I checked just now.

It may just have been a temporary glitch somewhere on the internet - have replied to your private message & can always put it on Dropbox if you're still having problems.
