Okay,

I have read several forums trying to find an answer to some issues I'm having in developing my own membership site script. This forum caught my attention.

Before I go into what the script will and won't do, allow me to post the known vulnurabilities.

1. No license file requirement. I need to "require" a license file prior to releasing my script to the public.

2. I need to add a data base querry to the script so that free members can't access the paid members area.

The next issue isn't a security issue but, I would like to add a cron job to the script so that people without a VDS can throttle the number of emails sent per hour / per day to make the script more desirable to a wider audience.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Once completed the script will:

1. Allow you to set up free memberships and 5 levels of paid memberships (default settings). Of course, you can opt to block or delete any level you don't want to use and it includes 10 pre-designed download pages per membership level.

2. Ability to set / change the prices of each membership level you choose to use.

3. Choose from several different payment processors including PayPal.

4. You choose how much (if any) you wish to pay out in commissions for referals (affiliate program). You can even choose how much commissions will be based on a member's membership level.

5. Option to choose your default currency (USD, GBP, EUROS).

6. Ability to mass email all members (that's why I need to set up a cron job).

7. Choose from 10 different layouts.

8. Mix and match graphics to suit your needs (I still have a ton of graphics editing to do).

There are many other options available but, since this isn't "sales copy" I will leave it at that except to say that, while the script is geared more towards digital downloads it could easily be adapted to photo hosting (even pR0n).

I'm thinking that for what the script offers, somewhere in the neighborhood of $175 a pop. Before I can sell it though, I have to work my security issues.

Any advice on the security issues would be appreciated. I would also, like to know if that sounds like a reasonable price.

I'm sorry but, to be honest, this is a bit too advanced for me. I can build site templates but this script seems too complex. I have made a couple of sites with account and login systems in the past but never with paid subscriptions.

I know XHTML (HTML/CSS) very well but I'm definitely NOT the best PHP coder.

I believe I may have found my solution, though. I have tons of scripts on one of my hard drives and a lot of them will either do what I need to secure my site or, provide me with the correct syntax to use to querry my database.

That's really my problem, syntax.

I just wanted to say I have purchased one of poglia's sites he's built and it is excellent. A complete wordpress blog site with adsense coding and clickbank products. His help was awesome for uploading, error fixing and final completion in transferring the site to me. I would definitely recommend his services here on the forum.

My company is a start up firm that is seeking help with various projects from week to week or month to month. Presently I need someone who can work inside of wordpress to upload some new plugins and test them. Once I have the right blend for the site I wish to have someone who can create an autoinstaller that installs wordpress and those specific plugin sets everytime i do an install. I know someone already offers a similar service on Ebay power install they call it for 10.00 US but not sure how they pick the just those plugin and themes to install. I am guessing its an image file or something of that nature. I will pay 25.00 for that project or script. so it only installs what plugins we use and now work with latest wordpress 2.8

Hi,

I can install, configure and test all the plugins you want, but I don't think I am able to create an auto installer. Sorry.

You can, however, make a backup of the first Wordpress installation (including database) and just upload it on every new site so you will have your Wordpress working without installation.

I have a site that I'm currently working on building. Almost done with everything that I wanted to upload to the site and text on each page and so on, but I know nothing about on page seo. I see the sections that ask for meta tags, advanced meta tags and keywords, but I'm leery because I don't want to hurt my rankings by doing anything in there that I have no business doing.

Do you look at sites that are already underway and do seo on them? If so I would like to know how much you would charge for this service.

Basically I want my site to be absolutely top notch when it comes to the on page seo.

May need you later for other projects that my friends/ family and I have in mind as well.

I need a quote for some slight changes to a website. Changes include adding/removing logos, taking some existing pictures and adding javascript to them so that they transition to other pictures (and link to gallery page when clicked), and creating 2 additional pages with links on 1 and an "under construction" on the other).

Deadline for completion is a DEFINITE week. So, absolutely must have it done by then. I'll leave this here for 5 hours before reposting, in order to give you some time to see it and reply.

Building it from scratch is very complex and requires weeks of work. I can help, but only if you use Amember or similar scripts to manage the membership system.
