Hi there, from the first article you posted as an example, I just wanted to point out:

"Ever been in contact with a badly trained dog?"

that is not ideal, I wouldn't want an article of mine to start in that way. It really would be so much better as: "Have you ever been in contact .... blah blah"

and

"man's best friend"

what letter is the apostrophe standing in for?

Sorry for picking flies, I am by no means a great article writer, but I noticed these straight away.

I'm so sorry, but you spelt embarassment, it should be embarrassment. I do apologize if other countries spell things slightly differently and I am incorrect, but also the grammar is questionable. When mentioning several things the format would be:
wine, cheese and good company.
the good, the bad and the ugly.
blood, sweat, tears and good old fashioned heart!
there is never a comma before the 'and'.
These are all in the first paragraph of your first example, I have not looked any further into the first example post, and am trying not to.

Thanks for the brutally honest corrections. I wrote those articles long before I even started writing for people on WF. At the time of starting this thread, I did't have the time to write new ones so I just went on my computer to find old stuff. Regardless of the errors in the articles, I have written for countless people and through that I've made myself a better writer.

If you look at the date I first posted the thread, you'll notice it's been on here for a long time and since then I've written for countless people; most of whom were happy with my work and writing style. Those who weren't tell me and I make the corrections and learn in the process. Besides, when you write so many articles at once about the same topic, you sometimes need a 2nd opinion to find your mistakes.

Lastly, apology accepted. We spell a lot of things differently from the American way around here. For instance, we spell "colour" not "color". And I used "the good, the bad, and the ugly" based on a movie with that title. Maybe it's not grammatically correct but at that time, I thought it added a bit of spice to the sentence.

Anyway, I'm not trying to prove that my writing or grammar is "absolutely right and the only way" or whatever but to give you reasons behind those articles up there. Thank you very much for your criticism; they are very much welcomed and will help me become a better writer.
