Face facts: when you buy a $5 article, you get a $5 article -- or more likely, a $3 article outsourced by some clever middleman to someone that doesn't speak the same English that you and I do.

If you've ever seen a professional SEO company in action, they skimp on everything to keep costs down -- everything, that is, except writing. They know (like you should) that crap copy has crap effects on your business. Period.

I'll do keyword research for $2 per keyword. I give weight to exactly four numbers: Total Exact Searches, Competing Pages, Adwords Cost-Per-Click and (when I can get it) Online Commercial Index. For an extra $3 each, I can give you a breakdown of your top-10 competing pages for any given keyword and write up a basic plan of what you'll need to do to break into it.

If you want sales copy or other copy that requires heavy research, it's still $.03 per word, but it's also an extra $8 per hour of research required. I've got an assistant who does the research for me, and I have to pay her.

On average how many searches would the long tail keyword have for you to count it as an acceptable keyword.

Lanta, my basic qualifications for a "good" keyword are:
250,000 or less competing pages
25+ searches for the exact keyword (i.e. in quotes) each day
25% or greater OCI
$.20 or greater CPC in Adwords.

That ensures a good mix of SERPability and coverting-traffic-driving ability.

I'll be happy to do 100 keywords for $25.
