Hey Snowprincess, I don't know much about press releases. Is there a duplicate content issue if you are releasing the same PR to all of the directories? I would assume not, but I thought I would ask.

Hi renjain,
Because the press release is submitted to mulitple sites, google won't penalise for duplicate content. What it counts is the backlink from the anchor text and the traffic generated from the whole process.

If you're posting on the same domain, google tends to penalise, however because these are press releases, google and other search engines realise that this is syndicated out to lots of other websites

I must admit I don't know anything about press releases, but I hear they can be good for backlinks.

I have a few questions:

Does it matter what type of sites i'm promoting? (I'm following X Factor's Microniche type sites and would be interested in using press releases to promote these types of sites.)

Are press releases mainly effective for new sites or can they by used to promote established sites?

Do you only promote the main homepage?

I must admit I don't know anything about press releases, but I hear they can be good for backlinks. I have a few questions: Does it matter what type of sites i'm promoting? (I'm following X Factor's Microniche type sites and would be interested in using press releases to promote these types of sites.) Are press releases mainly effective for new sites or can they by used to promote established sites? Do you only promote the main homepage?

Just wanted to post a quick review of Katie's Press release service: I placed my order a couple of days ago and received a very fast response asking for some additional information. The next day the press release was submitted and now less then 24 hours later I am on the first page of Google news for my primary targeted keyword phrase.
