Our methods are not related to FatCat Blueprint. The name FatCat is related to my first successful online venture - FatCat Traffic. The site is currently not operational.

We use a variety of tools to check competition to develop our strategy in how to achieve the results we are after. There in no one size fits all strategy, though there are common elements.

While doing our research, we often uncover additional keywords for our clients they may consider pursuing.

If you question is how do we determine whether a keyword phrase has 10,000 competing sites or 100,000 competing sites, then the answer is we enter the keyword on Google and do a phrase match search. The results Google gives us is the number we use. We periodically re-verify this to ensure we are aware of any changes, which may impact our strategy.
